TERRIBLE WOULD NOT RECOMMEND - NOISEY AND TERRIBLE WAIT STAFF
Always a great venue to see the Gulf and at Coast all outdoor seats have a great view. Limited menu, the cauliflower quinoa were delicious, fish tacos bland. Server was attentive. Paid a bit more but you’re on the water and in Naples.
Our party of six dined here to celebrate my wife's birthday. As requested, we were seated outside on the terrace overlooking the pool and gulf. Service was very good and Andre made our experience very enjoyable. Everyone enjoyed their meal. We definitely will return and recommend to our friends.
The man at host stand didn’t seem to find reservation and after we were seated another lady came to our table and asked if we had a reservation. They were not busy, we asked to sit outside, the glass panel by our table had a large smear on it, so that distracted from appearance. The inside ambience was much nicer. I would ask for inside another time. Food and Service excellent.
Our service was excellent and our meals were delicious. The ambiance at sunset, dreamy.
We stayed here 2 years ago. It was fabulous! We were in town and wanted to spend a birthday dinner here again. It was awful!! To start, Wine was served in plastic cups because they ran out of glasses. The service was beyond slow. Food was not good enough to make up for the service. Such a disappointment.
I had a birthday celebration. It was great.
Wonderful food and fun drinks. Can make almost anything gluten free. Beautiful view! 10/10.
Coast is a gem! Great food and terrific view! The service was excellent too!
$54 for a bottle of Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc, way over priced , $42 on 5th Ave. Nice wedge salad, scallops and lobster ravioli were good, grouper was over cooked and disappointing. Will not repeat and can not recommend.
Food was amazing. Our view of the sunset was breathtaking. The service was outstanding. We will definatrly be back!
We went here for an Easter buffet. Food was good, not great. Average level of variety, some items not hot enough. Great view, average service.
Food was fantastic with service to match! Will be back!
We love sitting by the pool and watching the sunset.
Great food, staff was very pleasant and helpful with food recommendations, as well as things to do in Naples. Coast is a hidden gem!
Great food. Beautiful spot.
It was a wonderful experience-great food/service and view- we will be back
So unexpected and absolutely delightful. Our first visit and we will be back.
Nice setting. General menu. Breakfast menu and a broken crayon was left on the table obviously from breakfast and the waiter never moved it off. Not even a candle on the table as the 8 of us sat for dinner. He was officious but managed to forget one appetizer even though the rest of us had ours. He didn’t check on us to pick this up in a timely manner. Meat was undercooked and again didn’t check in to see if it was okay. Screwed up all four bills and had the gall to charge an automatic 18% even though the service was terrible. If it weren’t for all of us being just happy to be out it could have been a disaster. As I write this I wish I would have complained. None of us were happy with the service. Plain food, no garnish or lemon with snapper. Won’t be going back.
I must admit I was nervous about booking a reservation as the reviews were quite spotty. Fortunately our experience was absolutely A-1!
Coast is in the Edgewater Hotel which is right on the beach. The hotel lobby & restaurant sits on the elevated 1st floor, providing views over the hotel pool and out into the Gulf. While we ate outside, the sun shimmered off the waves and, while we couldn't stay for the sunset, the views would have been beautiful. Service at every level, the lady that greeted us from the bar, the various waitstaff; bread, water etc., the chef and especially our main waitress (Brenda) were friendly, helpful, knowledgable, engaging and attentive.
Now the food; we had the devilled eggs, beet salad and crab cake appetizers. The latter was outstanding, according to our guest, one of the best ever. The others were really tasty too. Entrees were the snapper, grouper, scallops and tuna. All very fresh, tasty and well prepared. My wife thought her scallop dish was one of the best she's ever had in the Naples area. Everything was well presented and prepared (my snapper was just a little overcooked but, with the piri piri sauce, it really didn't compromise the taste or flavour of the dish). One of our guests, the former owner of a large independent bakery was so impressed with the bread used for dinner, he asked the waitstaff whether it's made in house and the executive chef came out to chat about it! That's service!
Menu and wine pricing is normal for Naples at this time of year; entrees generally in the 30's and appetizers in the teens. No early bird options but a great meal and masterful service. We were very pleased (and a little surprised in a good way) with the entire evening.
Parking is valet, convenient, quick and only costs a tip.
Steak was fantastic ! So was view!
Wonderful food! Great waitress! Amazing gulf sunset!
A perfect birthday dinner!
The ocean view was outstanding and the food was even better. Great atmosphere.
Fabulous and beautiful ambiance. Food was impeccable.
Loved it and will definitely go back. Service was great as was the view, and food. Looking forward to our next visit.
a great dinner and sunset!! The Yellowfin tuna was awesome!!
Beautiful view. Perfect day to sit on patio with view of Ocean and Pool. I just had the grouper sandwich- nice portion. Very attentive staff.
My wife and I took her brother's family out for a sunset experience and a nice dinner. The sunset venue was fabulous but the food and service was mediocre. Those who ordered the fish dishes (red snapper and salmon) enjoyed their meals immensely but my brother-in law's and my steaks were mediocre at best. They were supposed to be ribeyes but they had the consistency and taste of a thick pork chop. Probably a mistake to order these dishes anyway. The burrata appetizer was excellent - creamy as could be - and is highly recommended. Finally, the flan sampler sounded like a great sharing dessert but it was a hoax - we received 4 "different" tastings but they were merely the same flan base with a little bit of different flavorings added on top. Wouldn't recommend. The service was a little inattentive and the server's recommendations were not as helpful as most are in good restaurants. Might go back (especially for sunset) but maybe just have an appetizer although my wife really loved her snapper.
The egg white omelette is fantastic along with the breakfast potatos. Great view of the hotel pool and ocean.
Food portions very small; food was bland; hotel prices-high for what you get. Disappointed
Great find, nice little gem of a restaurant. Peaceful sitting on terrace overlooking pool and gulf.
Although we live here year round; this was our first time dining at Coast. The food was delicious, good portions and nice presentation. Our server was very good also. She was friendy knowlegable and attentive, while giving us time and privacy. Of course the ambience was the highlight with beautiful views of the pool, beach and sunset. We will definitely recommend this restaurant.
Very nice place for dinner however food was not up to par relative to cost.
Another rewarding dining experience at Coast! My wife had the Grouper and I ordered the Ribeye steak, both were excellent along with a magnificent sunset! Thank you for a job well done!
Excellent meal. Shrimp with lobster ravioli and red snapper were very good entrees. Caesar salad and beet salad were excellent. Coconut flan was just right. We enjoyed the sunset from their outdoor tables. We recommend Coast for a lovely evening.
Good experience - would return if visiting the area again
Having been in the restaurant industry as long as i have i have never taken the time for a review but this restaurant deserved one. Me and a date went in this past Saturday night, both out first night there. Got there early to watch the sunset (which can be viewed by one of their outdoor seating areas) then sat at the bar until our reservation at 8. The bartender Kim was busy but got to us right away and took time to give us a run down of the menu. She was so inviting we actually started with an appetizer there before we sat. We checked in early and got sat about 20 minutes before our 8 o'clock reservation. The burrata salad was perfect and split for us without asking. Right amount of balsamic glaze, arugula and heirloom tomatoes...portion of the burrata itself was huge. Dinner was the bone in strip and the gulf coast shrimp with lobster ravioli. Steak was cooked perfect accompanied with creamy mashed potatoes and haircots vert. The shrimp dish was also awesome, a little surprise was the random couple chunks of tender lobster in the broth...whoa!! The executive chef Bill, I believe was his title, hand delivered our split salads and was all over the restaurant...checking EVERYTHING...very refreshing comparable to most restaurants in Naples. 150 for 2 people with 2 drinks each, appetizer, split salad and to entrees...not bad at all. Thanks Coast, will definetly be back.
We made the rez via OpenTable for 6:30 PM, promised the balcony overlooking the pool and
Gulf. Arrived at 6:20, balcony not available for at least 45 minutes . . . were seated inside at
a small table against a pillar and between two tables of large groups ( 10-16 people each)
who were obnoxiously noisy and disruptive. The wait staff ( who we knew from previous visits) were friendly and efficient: the food was excellent . . . the atmosphere unbearable. We could not wait to vacate the premises. We did not order dessert. When we returned home we found an email message from OpenTable saying that the COAST restaurant told OpenTable that we hadn't shown up for our reservation. WHAT THE - - - - ! We spent about $ 150.00 for dinner (for two) and gratuities for a perfectly miserable evening at the hands of COAST. We are residents of Naples. We probably will not return because there are about 50 restaurants within walking distance from our house. We wouldn't recommend Coast. Up to this point we liked the place.
The ambiance and the food was excellent! Beautiful flower arrangements everywhere. Perfect view of the sunset from our table. However, didn't like the fact that people from the pool were walking right by our table, dripping wet and no cover-ups on. Thought the server may have done something extra for us, since it was a 65th birthday. Maybe a free piece of cake or something out of the ordinary. But overall, I would dine there again. Loved it.
Coast is a favorite of ours—on the beach and normally a reservation can be arranged. Service is always good, friendly but not obtrusive. Food hits the proper marks. What could be better?
