Wonderful meal, service and ambiance...gorgeous setting overlooking the ocean.
Good service and good food.
Oysters and crab soup were excellent. We had the grouper and whole Fried branzino. Both were prepared perfectly. Set at bar and service was outstanding.
Great view, great food, and excellent service by Mr. Kavi.
The ambience is unbeatable! Right on the beach, large outdoor area for eating with upscale furniture and umbrellas. Indoor seating very nice with wide unobstructed outdoor views. Easy parking on a Tuesday T noon.
Road construction delayed our arrival by 10 minutes and as a courtesy, we called several times to notify but received a long voice message and no real person. Upon arrival, we were seated quickly but no acknowledgement from the hostess that we had a reservation or that it was a special occasion.
Our server, Brian was attentive and brought a complimentary birthday dessert after the meal.
The food was fine but not outstanding. We all had the lobster roll with fried green tomato and bacon. Sounded delicious and very creative but was compromised with heavy mayonnaise. Fries were lukewarm.
Nice wine list and reasonable pricing.
Would definitely return for outdoor seating and another try with the menu items. The bar area would be fun and they have nice 2nd story lounge and deck that opens at 4 pm.
$8 gate fee for Sea Pines
Absolutely best dining experience and I mean total experience. We sat out by the beach at a fire pit table. Great service and food. The chef spoke to us and was very engaging.
(( have been to Coast many times in the past few years. This time I was very disappointed in the food selection and the service. I usually get the lobster ravioli and shrimp in a saffron sauce. It was not on the menu this time. We had to ask what the specials were. My husband was going to order one of them and was later tld it was unavailable. We had to find our waitress and let her know we were ready to order. We asked if one of the soups contained fish - she was going to check with the chef. Nd never hit back to us. We were a table of four eating inside, we ended up ordering 2 lobster rolls (which were mediocre at best), fish tacos and a burger. Lobster rolls were brought to the table a good 10 minutes before the rest of the food which I find totally unacceptable. Probably will not be returning there anytime soon.
Nice place. A little pricey but worth it. Nice views if you sit outside or upstairs
For the amount of money that was spent not worth it. Poor waiter. Large bag for two little dinners got a steak no offer of a steak Knife. Wine was very expensive and a minimal amount. Dessert place upstairs was closed. The outside was unlite and unwelcoming. Website was not up to date would have changed the whole reservation. Dust cloths on a shelf for viewing. Reservations were at 730pm they were 15 minutes late getting table ready. Waiter was not around didnt ask or read specials we had to ask for them.
All of our food was delicious. The lobster roll was particularly outstanding. We were greeted by a friendly hostess and our service was good throughout our evening. We will definitely return.
Loved the food; good service; great live music, on the coast.
Beautiful ocean view! Great food! Great service!
Food was great! Terryann Made the evening quite enjoyable. We will definitely be back.
We come to Hilton Head at least once a year- we come to Coast our first and last nights when we are here- the food is amazing and consistent and the ambiance is unbelievable- overlooks the Atlantic and they have entertainment outside- upstairs or downstairs- inside or outside - is always perfect- our favorite waitress is Amanda- we love her- she’s seasonal ( like Hilton Head generally) and she will be going back to Jamaica to see her family- we hope to see her again soon!! Thank you to the Coast staff ( and Wonderful Chef) and of course Amanda! Sad to go home but look forward to coming back!! “Charley “ and George
The only reason to go here is the view. This was maybe the most overpriced meal we have ever had. My Seafood Pasta was definitely from a can - the lobster meat (claws only) was unbelievably dry and the, so called, marinara sauce truly tasted like Chef Boyardee (no exaggeration needed). This $36 dish wouldn't be worth it at $15. Same with the oysters - $35 per dozen and they were the runniest, soggiest oysters we've ever gotten. The "specialty" margarita wasn't bad, just heavily overpriced. Our server was very new but he was trying and he was very polite.
The view, however, is amazing. Go here for sunset, have a drink or two, then grab something to eat elsewhere.
Be advised, its located in a gated community and you have to pay $8 just to get in.
Food as usual was wonderful. However, the service was horrible. The waiter basically only took our main course order and brought the bill. With regards to the order, we ordered wine but he input champagne into the computer. Secondly, the bill had various errors. I had to have a manager fix it because he did not know what he was doing.
Atmosphere was good but service was very slow and we had to ask for water several times. Food was very good but a bit overpriced for the quality, but perhaps we were paying for the excellent views.
Service just fair , not pleasant , food was just ok , not the special meal we expected entertaining our out of town guests
Overall it was amazing, from the service to the food. Just be aware it is inside of a gated community with private security. Be prepared to pay for parking if you are not a resident/guest.
Creamy smooth grits and seasoned shrimp. Perfection really.
Great ocean view on outdoor patio. Excellent live music. Grouper and mahi-mahi on risotto delicious. Waitress very attentive.
Great food at an incomparable venue! Besides the visual appeal of the dishes there is the gorgeous view of the Atlantic, and the sound of the waves. We enjoyed our evening at Coast.
We went in the evening and it was sooooo dark. The bar is great!
Fantastic service--the staff are wonderful and the food is exceptional. In an amazing atmosphere. Couldn't have asked for a better experience.
Beautiful view with friendly service and great food!
Great view and food
Food is over priced and service was poor. Next time will eat elsewhere and then stop at the outside bar for a drink after dinner
We requested the lounge. Nice view and good food. Service was slower than expected.
Great food great service amazing views
Affable, friendly waitress. Took 25 minutes to get a glass of wine, 55 minutes for food.
Amplified 4 piece band overwhelmed conversation.
Enjoyed a nice lunch on the beach. Labor Day weekend. Food fresh, good cocktail & wine list. There was live entertainment- the band was talented but the music was better suited for a big beach party. Service was a little slow. A criticism would be better trained hosts to learn how to seat people.
Great food and venue. Andrew the Bartender was fabulous! Can’t wait to go back!
Service, food, and view amazing! We sat in bar area by windows overlooking the ocean. Perfect in every way! Complimentary glasses of champagne for our anniversary. Perfect choice for our last night in HH
Our food was average. The server had no interest in serving. We were a party of four residents visiting on a slow Thursday. Coast is very expensive.
Beautiful outdoor space. Drinks are pricey but your there for the views. Nice live music. Special last night dinner in Hilton head for our family. Incredible view of the ocean.
Location is fabulous, right at the edge of the beach. We sat on the couches outside which were very comfortable. The only problem was at the lower angle we were sitting we couldn't see the beach because the fence obscured our view. That's why I dropped a star. Live music was an added touch. We had our 2 year old granddaughter with us and didn't have to worry about any noise she made or her penchant for wanted to wander around. We will definitely go back but sit at a table next time.
Ambiance was great. Sunset was spectacular. Live music was beautiful background- some even dancing. And the food was local and tasty. We had reservations for indoors but the evening was so lovely, we ate outside. A bit more casual but fantastic views won the night.
I was so thankful our hotel recommended we eat upstairs in the lounge to take advantage of the great view through the large windows. It was the only thing that saved this experience. We started with calamari which came very small and slightly overcooked because the pieces were so small. The accompanying dip had no flavor at all beyond sour cream. I had the tornados for my entree - very small, covered in what tasted like gravy -- not any chef made sauce. My husband had a fish combo plate and said it was somewhat better than mine. I had meant this for a belated anniversary dinner but we found a place with much better food the next night. I suggest you order only the simplest of dishes here -- very disappointing.
Food was touted as being equal to the view. Not so, at all. Everything we tried was very average or below. Very disappointed in the food! Definitely would not return!
