There were 7 of us and we had a great waitperson who was attentive and fun. The food was great, as usual. The cocktails were wonderful also but overpriced. We ordered all different things, but three of us had the lobster bisque and crab cakes. So tasty! I do have to say that the apple crisp that we shared was terrible and pretty much inedible. It was dry, mostly oatmeal with little if any apple. It was pretty much like flavored sawdust.

We went to the Coast Guard House on a holiday Monday in February, and it was a beautiful day so ..... lots of people took a ride to the beach and they were very busy for lunch. We had made reservations and the hostess and waitstaff could not have been more pleasant. We ordered shrimp cocktail for an appetizer and it was great ... large and crisp. There were three of us and one ordered a vegetable salad with lobster added, a pasta dish loaded with shrimp and scallops, and pan seared scallops. We all enjoyed our meals and of course ordered dessert, flour-less cake and creme brulee. The atmosphere was outstanding and even though the restaurant was very busy ... it never got too loud. I highly recommend giving it a try.

This is a perfect spot for a special occasion. The food is always excellent and the service is very attentive without being overbearing. The prices are a little high, but the quality and ambiance are worth it.

This is always one of our favorite restuarants, but we were especially impressed this time with their Candlelight Dining Series! The atmosphere was stunning, candles everywhere and all the electric lights turned off. It made for a very romantic and memorable Valentine's Day!

We went for a Valentines Day dinner. Our reservation was for 8:15, and we were seated promptly. The restaurant was completely candle lit, and there were roses strung up around the restaurant in a very tasteful way. It was absolutely beautiful. The restaurant was busy, but the noise level was on the lower side. We were seated by a window overlooking the water and the seawall. Service was great, food was delicious. We will definitely be back for dinner at the CGH again!

The only disappointment was that they use Cool Whip instead of real whipped cream with their dessert. Everything else was delicious.

Valentine’s dinner at the Coast Guard House was made extra special due to the hundreds of lit candles, the rose petals and roses decorating the entire restaurant. Everything sparkled. Delicious martinis and entrees that always please. We could have gone anywhere but I’m glad we went there.

Our Valentine lunch was fabulous. The crab cakes, served with a taste of guacamole were such a tasty start to our entrees of house made lobster ravioli with a cream sauce and the branzino served with leeks and mushrooms.
Even though it was Valentine's Day and the place was swamped, we were fortunate to have made reservations and we were seated promptly. The service was attentive and professional. The chocolate bread pudding with mint ice cream, dotted with chocolate nibs was a delicious ending to our meal. We were very impressed with the quality of the food preparation and presentation. We re so happy that the Coast Guard House is in our neighborhood! We plan to return soon.

The Coast Guard House Restaurant is one of our most favorite places to dine. The ambiance with the ocean view and the sea side location is spectacular. The food is always well prepared, beautifully presented and tasty. The service is flawless and the servers are friendly. Whenever a special occasion occurs and we want to go out for a special meal one of the first places we think of is the Coast Guard House. We and our friends have treated the lovely ladies in our life to a outing on Valentine's Day for dinner with you on many occasions.

Location and view can’t be beat. Very good waitress Jess(sp). The candlelight dinner was so amazing. Really well done-amazing ambience. Lots of time and thought went into the setting for the candlelight dinner.
Food is very good, but truth be told this place is about the location. Everything inside was clean and pristine.

The service was excellent. The view was also. The food: the crab cakes were bready and we’re smaller than a previous order. Glad we’re in time for the “buck-a-schuck”, the cocktail shrimp were quite nice. The lobster bisque was sublime. The calamari was just okay..nice & crispy tho. The clam zuppa app was great. My lobster roll wasn’t very good (wish I didn’t get it), my niece’s fish and chips were quite greasy. My wife’s linguine and clams were very good. I would go back but I would be more discerning with the menu.

Went for my bday dinner, as I have for past couple of years. Of course the view is amazing and the young man who served was attentive.

Food had a couple of issues: My Merry Cranberry drink and my mother’s white wine spritzer were weak. Caesar salad was great. However my plain grilled shrimp could have been cooked another :30 and my truffle fries, which are my favorite, def needed another splash of truffle oil. My parents got a whole bunch of apps and loved them, especially the lamb and the popcorn shrimp

Beautiful day to sit at the window and enjoy the ships going by, the sun dancing on the water, the waves lapping at the shore—all while enjoying delicious, well-presented food and chatting withe friend from college who wanted a trip down memory lane at the
Coast Guard House. The restaurant didn’t disappoint.

Food was decent, we ordered the margarita flatbread as an appetizer, and truth be told, it was not very good- bread was very doughy for a flatbread. Clams and linguine were very good, lots of clams!! Great atmosphere, and we sat looking at the water with 10 ft waves crashing against the rocks. Cool setting, will go back again.

Folks, your ocean view doesn’t get any better than this. You food doesn’t get any better than this. Your wine list doesn’t get any better than this. The servers don’t get any better than these. My favorite during lunch on a sunny day. Get the Schramsberg Napa sparkling first.
