Great views on a very cold Monday. Food was delicious and so were the drinks. Service was a bit confusing, but straightened out in the end.

The special "moment" soup of the day was corn and way too sweet, the fish sandwich special was the tail end of pollack with a little aioli for $17.00. Friend had fish and chips and was very happy. @ others had the grilled eggplant, very, very thin so all you taste is the batter and it was way too greasy. Nice view and lovely restaurant, but not worth the drive to get there.

The food was very good. In fact the BBQ octopus was sublime. Callie, our server, was amazing, attentive and knowledgeable. The one issue that seriously derailed an otherwise great dinner was the restaurant’s refusal to honor our Open Table $25 reward. I had made the reservation through the app and noted the $25 gift certificate and even had the physical copy with me (along with the codes to process it). The manager stated the restaurant was not affiliated with the program even though they clearly accepted the reservation. He confirmed with the owner that they don’t participate. Makes no sense as either Open Table or restaurant is wrong. I showed him the app and he said he couldn’t do a thing. Made us feel awkward for even trying. Very poor customer service as it was clear they didn’t have the right information. Beware!

After dining here for a very good bday meal for a family member in October, we decided to take another family member here to celebrate the Christmas Holiday while she was visiting. The stuffies were very good, as were the raw bar clams. Wine is a bit overpriced when compared to other like wines in the other local area restaurants, but we ordered a red and white (keeping our choices modest due to the escalated pricing). Entrees were good. I especially liked the Seafood Wellington Special, but my wife wasn't thrilled with the Beef version. The other two ladies in our party enjoyed their choices of filet mignon and scallops. The biggest DISAPPOINTMENT was dessert! We had three different between the four of us, and none of them were close to very good, if simply okay at best. The $9 plus cost on each (for almost $30) for mediocrity put a slight downer on an otherwise very good meal. I would recommend to anyone that inquired that the dining is worth a visit, BUT, do not stay for dessert. Go home or elsewhere in the area for a better ending!

Welcomed into the warm atmosphere and seated immediately! We had plenty of time to look over the menu -- it was a first visit -- and enjoy a drink before eating. Varied menu and good wine and beer choices. Look forward to another visit.

My dinner choice was excellent. Being gluten free can be challenging when dining out. It was nice to order right from the menu. However, overall, the pricing is a bit high. I would recommend this for special occasions. The wait staff was very attentive, and the atmosphere was cozy. It was nicely decorated for the holiday season, and the view was spectacular!

Lovely place with a fabulous ocean view. Beautiful interior decor and history of hurricane events of years past. Have been there several times in the past year.

The food is good but not spectacular. I am always left with the impression that it could have been just a little bit better. I recommended crab cake sandwiches to the friends I was with, from a previous experience. This time, I felt they were a little underprepared and difficult to eat.

Spectacular view and very good service. Unfortunately, all 4 of us felt that the food was uninspired and mediocre. We tried 4 different entrees, and none of them were memorable. It wa our first and last visit to the Coast Guard House.

The brunch menu wasn't as appetizing as I thought it would be. The view is spectacular, but the service was horrible. The waiter didn't even refill my drink and I was the one paying for the whole party. I feel like they are better staffed and nicer during tourist season. Definitely not a great first impression.

Absolutely loved this place. The food was delicious, the service was great, and it was all fairly priced. I had the ramen. The broth was oil-based, rather than water-based. It took some adjusting, but was ultimately amazing, and the pork was phenomenal. All-around a wonderful place that I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Narragansett!

We don't go to the Coast Guard House often. Although the setting is very nice, the food has not been as good as before Sandy. We went for their "Throwback Thursday" 1.5 lb steamed lobster because we thought it would be nice to have lobster without all the fuss and mess. First, let me qualify my opinion: I have been steaming lobsters in trash cans for over 3 decades, and I also have a propane hot plate I dream or boil then on. We can also do 2 at a time on our turbo burner on the stove. I have NEVER had lobster come out like they did Thursday night. My claws were absolutely perfect, but the tail was WAY overcooked; my wife's lobster tail was OK, but her claws were WAY undercooked. We don't bother to complain much; we just don't bother to go back. They did go us a window table though, but it was behind the bar. So, fat butts in light colored leisure suits reflected off our window, making looking at the full moon not so delightful. Maybe we'll try again in n another year or so.
