I greatly appreciated eating at the table that I requested. Our waiter was great but seemed to be spread thin because he was waiting on tables on the other side.
Our favorite restaurant in Rhode Island and the first place we go every time we visit. The best seafood, selection of wines and super friendly staff. The magnidficent view of the ocean makes it the Ocean State's finest!
Decorated beautifully for the holidays! Drinks, apps, entrees and desserts were all outstanding! Great service, did not feel hurried, waiter very knowledgeable!
One of best in So New England. Decorated beautifully for Christmas. It checked all the boxes food, service ,ambiance etc.
Our for was delicious and beautifully plated and our server, Jessie, was wonderful. She was friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, and professional; her service was impeccable.
The atmosphere and view are perfect. Our server was very attentive without being intrusive. She really knew the menu and was able to make recommendations confidently. The food was very good but for the price, I would like to see a few more vegetables with a steak. Overall, a beautiful spot and quiet venue for a winter's dinner.
We enjoy Coast Guard House year 'round but especially in the off season. Sunday brunch is awesome and one of us is vegetarian and the other pescatarian- so we really appreciate the fact that brunch menu has a number of vegetarian options.
We took my daughter for her 20th birthday celebration. Her choice. It’s a bright lively classy place with good food and a wonderful view of Narragansett Bay. The risotto special with duck confit was really incredible. And the portion was so big that I took home at least half of it. The fish tacos were delicious and the fish and chips is as good as fish and chips should be.
Our waitress was friendly and attentive without being cloying. And they were happy to bring out our surprise birthday cake and plate it for us.
Best choice in the area. It could be in any big city !!!
Son was attending a one week class at the naval war college (he is permanently stationed in Japan) so my wife and I flew up from DC to have dinner with him
Tends to be noisy on weekend night, so not conducive for business. Otherwise superb choice for dinners. Desserts are notably distinctive, well presented and DELICIOUS!
This was my first visit to Coast Guard House. We are new to the area, but considered it to be "too expensive" and hadn't tried it. Had guests from out of town that we wanted to impress, so made reservation for Coast Guard House. Greeted at reception like a long-time important guest, seated at a beautiful table with gorgeous view, great choices (including vegetarian) on menu, great service throughout meal. And... the bill was reasonable! So we will be back, with guests, or just ourselves for more enjoyable meals at Coast Guard House. Thanks to everyone for a great day.
We lover Coastguard House in the summer. Went with some family in late November and the food quality was not fresh as you get in the summer time. We are taking this restaurant off our list for the fall and winter. Too bad as we are local residents of Narragansett and CH should focus on better quality food in the off season to carry them through the winter.
Food was pedistrian. It took 20 minutes before a wait came to our table and then only after I went to the hostess and asked for one. Sat us in a table far form the windows despite several open tables perhaps due to the quiet table request which I might believe except we were sat next to a table of 14 half of whom were out of control 10-12 years olds!
Our favorite place to eat in Narragansett, we stop here every time we’re in town. The view is unbeatable!
Went for dinner for the first time in several years, I remember it being very classy and upscale so I was confused when we were given paper menus when seated in the dining room. They reminded me of a typical lunch menu you'd get sitting out on a porch. The calamari was terrible, the filet was excellent. Overall I was pretty disappointed and most likely wont come back.
always good .the lobster roll is a bargain...and it is delicious. the view can't be beat
Only our second time here, and the overall experience was once again wonderful! First, our server was able to let me taste the different Pinot Grigios I couldn't decide on, her description was spot on, and I ended up picking the cheaper glass of wine. The muscles and broth I could never get sick of . . . The taste is a perfectly balanced wine to briny taste. The lobster mac & chees was also life changing!! My dish, however, was not. It was a chef special of lazy-mans lobster over a saffron brothed linguini, sounded great, looked amazing, not executed well. .. There was little flavor in the broth and the tail was tough. I dont have the heart to send food back just because it's mediocre, and will not order it again. Finally, dessert was a delicious oatmeal bread pudding with caramel drizzle, again, life changing (I'm a chocoholic after all!!), and the coffee drink topped off a lovely evening.
Well done all around!!!
Seated at a window table,we enjoyed appetizers and wine.Just right for a Sunday treat.
nice views, menu, decor, and selections. a classy place to have a great dining experience.
Very impressed with raw bar items and appetizers. Dinners were mediocre. Lobster Mac and Cheese overpriced and very bland. Disappointing! Not as good as our first two visits.
Stunning views, great service, consistent delicious food, cold drinks and a great wine list. What more do you need??
The monthly candle light dinners are delightful and a wonderful idea. The wine selection can accommodate all price points and the drinks are excellent. The linquini and clam sauce is one of the best and full of clams. I would go there just to have their bread sliced in small, manageable slices served with sweet butter. The desserts are always appealing and delicious and we usually share one. Our server, Megan was so pleasant and efficient, even on a busy night. We've already made our reservations for the new few candle light nights!
When they advertise sea food, sea fiends, sea view they are spot on. Great place for all three.
Great spot for dining. Reasonable prices for better than average fare. Can't beat the view on a sunny day.
We went for brunch and it was great. lobster scramble (minus the sweetbreads) was awesome. service was great and the view is perfect. Make a reservation!
Too bad this is not A+. Good location. Mediocre restaurant
One of my favorites. Food, friends and location summer or winter
It was ok but noisy and food was below what we were used to getting at CGH.
Dinner to celebrate 20 year anniversary. Service was slow for a Sunday night. Food was ok, but not worth the price for dinner. Great place for lunch but won't be back for dinner.
Beautiful view, great food. Would definitely go back.
Wonderful food and a gorgeous view make this a unique, terrific place. Excellent raw seafood, lobster, fish, burgers, fish tacos, salads. Spectacular view.
CGH never disappoints. Latest visit was for Beef/Seafood Wellington Wednesday. Extensive wine list allowed us to properly complement our meals. Server (Lauren) was excellent. Will try seafood Wellington on next Wednesday visit. Chao.
Incredible food, view and service. Very accommodating offering other gluten-free options.
Great dining experience. Superb food and service. Best ambience in Narragansett !
We were recommended by a friend. We had a late afternoon meal. The setting on the water is absolutely beautiful. The food and service were great. Wish it was closer - would love to be a regular.
Have been here for lunch and it was very good. Went recently for dinner. And although the service was good the food was served cold. Had to send it back to the kitchen to be heated while my husband ate his dinner.
Enjoyed our lobster rolls - and kale salad- food was delicious and Restaurant views just exquisite- this time our service was kind but a bit slow.
Food was excellent. Table had a gorgeous view. My daughter and I have been there many times
