Coast Guard House
We enjoyed the evening out without kids
poor lighting...for menu reading and eating....was sent home with a course that wasn't ours.... ugh
Our table was ready when we arrived and we got a table by the windows as requested. Service was prompt and attentive throughout our meal.
Food was very good. Dining room was exceptionally loud.
perfect winter lunch spot looking at the ocean on a beautiful cold day.
The Coast Guard House continues to be a favorite of ours and with good reasons. The food is delicious and fairly priced, the atmosphere is wonderful, the view is spectacular, and the service is always terrific. You might think an established restaurant would start to decline & become complacent, but CG justs keeps improving!! The staff is especially cordial and our server, Jessica, was superb. (even on a very busy night) We look forward to dining there again.
Enjoyable setting, good food and welcoming staff. Looking forward to my next visit.
We had window table and watched the surfers and paddle boarding people. John our waiter was great he did not rush us. This one our favorite places.
It was my wifes birthday she always loved the food the service. Last sat. She orded a steak and when it came to the table she could not eat it. I tried a piece and it was the worst meat i have ever tasted. The waiter took it away he felt bad. I think the mgr. Came over he asked her if she wanted something else. She was so disappointed because it was her special nite.
Enjoyed a nice lunch. Food was very good, lots of options on the menu. I had the scallops, a delicious but diet friendly meal, my friend had the special, seafood over pasta with a nceamy sauce, and she loved it. Of note, she had the gluten free pasta and was very happy with it. Location and views can't be beat. Valentines parking a plus.
Our favorite spot on the ocean
Jacob was a great sever ! The lobster roll was wonderful and so were the fries ! We sat at wonderful table Definitely make a reservation ! I can’t wait to go back !
We had a GREAT night at the Coast Guard House. Yes, the view is wonderful and yes the food is excellent but I want to single out the server we had who was absolutely outstanding. In fact, all the wait staff that helped move things along that night were terrific but the young woman who waited on our table was gracious, attentive, energetic, professional, polite and just awesome. I wish I remembered her name. The Coast Guard House has really upped its game in every sense over the past few years and it is a "must go" spot in southern Rhode Island!
Had the risotto...the best I’ve ever had!
We had New Year's Even dinner here and very much enjoyed ourselves. The reservation was for 8pm and as soon as we arrived, we were immediately brought to our table which was awesome. The dining room was very busy but it seemed like there was enough staff/servers to manage efficiently. The beer/cocktail/wine list was plentiful and offered nice selections. The menu offered great options at mostly reasonable prices. My wife and daughter started with the lamb meatballs and loved them. For dinner we ordered the lobster ravioli, salmon dinner and NY strip steak for me. Everything was cooked to order and delicious. No room for dessert although the menu looked very good.
The servers were very pleasant and made New Year's Even dinner enjoyable and relaxing. The dinners were served hot and the food was fresh.
Overall, we had a great dinner and will be back soon!
Excellent cosmopolitan, chowder and bolognese, super but the desert-nightly special was amazing especially with ice cream!!
Our first time visiting was also on New Years Eve. Delicious food, great service, very comfortable atmosphere.
It was NYE and it was very crowded. After 30 minutes a bus girl came over and gave us water and said that a waitress would be over soon. 15 minutes later, no one had come. A mgr was walking by and we asked if someone was going to help us. A few minutes later a waitress came and apologized because she didn’t know that she had our table. She had an order to take and would be back. 15 minutes later she took our drink order and then in another 15 minutes we received our drinks. The server was good but the restaurant was understaffed for the holiday. The food was fine but we were there for over 3 hours. We were not in a rush but usually they rush you out.
Excellent food, service and beautiful view of the waves crashing against the rocks
The food and the service, especially considering it was New Year’s Eve, was exceptional.
I would lose the music because when the place is full you really can’t appreciate it -it just adds to the noise level.
Other than that, exceptional!
Our waitress Jess was superb!
A great venue with remarkable water views. Our food was very good and our waitperson, Keri was exceptional.
Birthday dinner, everything was perfect!
We have never been disappointed at the Coast Guard House! It is always a wonderful experience!
The ambience and service are good. The food is terrible. Lobster was not fresh and so overcooked it was hard to shuck. Fish not good, octopus was soggy and vegetables are pedestrian at best. Went to lunch at Twin Willows the next day and it was 10xs better.
The ocean view is incredible. Excellent service. Comfortable dressed or casual. Great food. Valet parking. Incredible outdoor dining on the deck in the summer.
The food was great and the service was fantastic. The noise level was "energetic" to say the least - we couldn't hear each other...
Great food, attentive staff and wonderful views!! The oysters were delicious!!
Lunch at the Coast Guard House during a storm gives you a unique perspective on the beauty and power of the ocean while enjoying great food and drinks. One of our go to places.
Love CGH! Consistently good food; innovative; wonderful servers and amazing views!
My daughter & I celebrated the Christmas holidays at the Coast Guard House. Brunch was being served - it was excellent with varied choices. Ambiance perfect! Ocean view couldn't have been better! Plan to return.
Took great care to make sure customers are happy! Service was outstanding and chef took unusual steps to ensure that our table was thoroughly pleased.
Everything is well made and generous. Staff are friendly and competent. If you can get a table by the ocean on a windy night, the surf pounding on the rocks makes it a great date evening. It also has theo only lobster roll that's worth the price.
ALWAYS delivers excellent service, food and ambiance. Spectacular location.
This has always been my go to place, its absolutely the finest in the area with spectacular views . The food is always fresh local and very cutting edge, was a bit disappointed that the scallops over polenta was taken off he menu but he options are equally as good.
Meh. Menu a mixed bag. Took half hour to get a bottle of wine (15 minutes to discover original selection could not be found.) Go for the ocean view and a drink at the bar. Careful if you done, many tables are in noisy high traffic areas.
Classic in Narragansett, one of many extraordinary settings. Remake after Sandy nit only rebuilt the structure but greatly raised the bar on it's cuisine.
I have never been disappointed coming here. Food and service are always excellent and such a beautiful place
Service was great, food was good however in one of the orders, the polenta..theeggs were overcooked. All other meals were as described and very good..Waiter was Excellent..
