Coast Bar & Grill – Charleston
Food was delicious! It is reasonably priced and always consistent. COAST is our go-to place to celebrate any occasion. I wrote a note on Open Table when I reserved the table. It was a note to bring out a dessert with a candle for my son. I didn't have to remind anyone! It came out and he was very surprised and it was delicious!! We will be back!!
Prompt and friendly service even though it was busy!
Nice casual place with interesting coastal art and great service. Food was good, though not exceptional. And like most downtown options in Charleston, pretty pricey. Overall, a good experience.
Headed next door to a concert and Coast is our go-to restaurant. We each had a different variety of seafood and it appeared everyone enjoyed their food immensely. Our waitress was very very helpful and prompt with our service. Hope to return soon.
Fun place. It was pleasantly crowded, but we not too loud. Our food was inconsistent. My crispy flounder was exceptional. So were the bacon-wrapped scallops. Crap dip was disappointing, and so was shrimp and grits. Our server could not have been nicer or more attentive. Nice ambiance. We were seated right on time. We were glad to have had reservations. We will recommend COAST to our friends.
amazing food and the restaraunt environment is super nice big and openn
Celebrated a birthday here while in town on business. Service was great. The menu, wine list and food were all wonderful. It was a great evening and we would definitely come back to try something else.
Food was fabulous especially the oysters and crab cakes and the blood orange margarita.
Excellent food and service! I try to visit whenever I'm in Charleston!
The oysters were over cooked. The coast soup wasn’t as good as expected. The striped bass was good, but the green beans were undercooked. Very disappointing overall,
Food was great. Too many kids and a screaming baby so there was no atmosphere.
The Coast never disappoints. We have always had amazing food and service. It is one of our favorite restaurants.
The hostess was not the most friendly nor was our server. Food was average. We picked this place due to the proximity of our hotel and needed to feed our kids after being in the car for a long drive. It was pretty average so disappointed knowing there are so many other options in Charleston for great food. Oh well. It wasn’t the worst place but I would recommend something else
Great atmosphere, food and service. Great local spot
Over rated local chain restaurant. Marginal food and service. Will not return to any other of this management groups restaurants
We ate at Coast for the first time perhaps 10 years ago. It was excellent then and it was excellent this last visit. We've enjoyed many meals since that first time & usually get the fish special for our entree. It's always fresh and delicious. Drinks are very good & they offer 1/2 price wine bottles on Sunday.
Fresh delicious seafood! The buffalo shrimp appetizer was the best I’ve ever had! The salads are large and could be shared.
For the money, Coast is a great choice in a very expensive food town. Very casual, beachy atmosphere in a good location downtown off of King. I didn't get their specialty, the trio assortment of ceviches, which I have heard is wonderful, and looked wonderful (already had similar the night before). My seafood ravioli was very good and very rich. I could only eat half. The service was really fantastic. If you get tired of the super high prices for too fancy food, this is one of your best choices in Chas
When we got there our table was ready. Our waiter had great suggestions. The food arrived quickly and was great.
Excellent local and authentic southern cuisine! Would definitely recommend to my friends who visit the area.
Great restaurant, my wife and I have been here multiple times. Mixed bag crowd. Love the atmosphere, and honestly changes a good deal based on what’s going on in town. The staff is absolutely lovely, and the food is fairly good. Somewhere between a Hometeam BBQ and Halls Steakhouse.
Great food, and a reasonably priced menu and wine list.
Normally very good, frequently et here, but this night the food was dry and overcooked. Service, as always, was attentive and on point.
From the moment we walked in until we left everything was outstanding.. The service at the bar was wonderful.. Our server during dinner was very helpful in helping us decide what to order..First time for us going since we were all from out of town.. The good was absolutely outstanding. The only thing I am sad about is that I am from out of town..But the next time I am in Charleston I will go again..
Food was delicious. Wait time was reasonable. We throughly enjoyed our entire dining experience.
Great experience at Coast. The Calamari, and Cashew Encrusted Grouper entree were exceptional. Even the side veggies were perfectly cooked and seasoned squash and carrots. Our server was friendly and accommodating! Other than the noisy venue, which wasn't a surprise since it was in a former warehouse, this was a perfect dinner. We will definitely return when we are back in Charleston.
Coast is our favorite seafood restaurant on Charleston! Food and service are always great.
We visit Charleston at lease once a year and always make a stop at Coast. Incredible food and great service.
We had a wonderful meal at Coast Bar. The food was terrific. Cerviche 3 ways was excellent as was the blackened swordfish. The ribeye was very tasty (well seasoned) but was a bit fatty. Our waitress could not have been nicer. We had to wait about 20 minutes from the time of our reservation to be seated and the bar was very crowded but the drink selection was excellent although the bar floor was a bit sticky.
My first Time there and the Food was very good. But very very loud, I could hardly ever understand, what my partner said.
Coast was strongly hyped by people we met. Our experience, while not unpleasant in any way, was just a nice, common dining event. My husband and I both had seafood dishes which were fine but we definitely preferred dishes we get regularly at some of our favorite joints in coastal Delaware.
A cool environment, very upbeat. We loved the shellfish ceviche wee and the grilled and broiled grouper. Can’t go wrong here, especially if you’re staying near Marion PArk
First night visiting our son at local college we met at restaurant. Reservation scheduled was right on time.
Very busy restaurant did great job right through dessert. On our list of regular stops in Charleston!
The bacon wrapped scallops was one of the best appetizers I've ever had. If you like spicy then try the Adobe shrimp.
I had the shrimp ceviche and my wife had the tuna and both meals we perfectly prepared and presented. The service was also spot on.
I would strongly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great evening out.
It was alittle expensive for the food. However, the food was good and nicely prepared. Service was efficient and friendly. I loved the coastal vibe.
We love this place. Food is great and the service is wonderful too.
I enjoyed it so much, I ate there twice in my 5 day stay. Bacon wrapped scallops were awesome.
Very limited menu but the fish was very fresh
Our food was wonderful and service was awesome. Thank you for a wonderful date night with my hubby!
