5 of us gathered before Springsteen concert. Place was rockin, they honored reservations I made though they do not take reservations for special events, computer glitch. Great waiter, good bar food and beer selection. Rambunctious crowd, loved it!

Great location for eating before or after events in the downtown Phoenix area. Convenient to Talking Stick Arena and the Diamondbacks. Soup, sandwiches, and salads dominate the menu. Great hamburger combinations. Cozy, old bar atmosphere with good service and a good beer and bar selection.

We really enjoyed the experience. We were there for a late lunch. It was pleasantly quite. The service was great, and the menu was really varied. A really nice selection of choices.

Went to watch Monday night football with a few people. Food is as expected bar wise. Service was not great, under-staffed. could have been the night, it wasn't crowded

We came here before the Garth Brooks concert. It was great for drinks and dinner beforehand and they were able to seat a big group of us. Food is actually pretty good for a bar!

We enjoyed a couple varieties of the mac & cheese and they didn't disappoint. The Lobster Mac & Cheese was creamy, with lots of real lobster and a little bit of zing. I'd go back again just for that.

I made reservations for a party of ten prior to our event Saturday evening. Table was reserved as requested so we had no problem being seated. Our waitress was very busy. Not only did she have our table, she had another large group of ten to twelve people, plus several other tables. The food took longer than normal and one of our party members didn't receive his food when the rest of the group did. After waiting 10-15 minutes we were finally able to get our waitress' attention to inquire where his food was. She returned to our table five minutes later to advise they are now cooking it. Once he received his food he had to eat quickly because we had to leave to attend an event.
Overall, our experience was fair. Food was good, but service lacked. We have been to Coaches Corner before and had better experiences. Will we return? Probably. Hopefully our experience will be better next time.

Great food and would return again for that. However we will go back for lunch or early dinner. Had tickets to US Airways Center and went there at 6:00 for dinner prior. Just when we got there a huge group of "pub crawlers" came in and basically took the place over. We sat outside so we could hear each other talk but they ended up out there as well and several were smoking right near our table, which was miserable for us non-smokers. Only other bad thing is that sitting outside puts you directly in front of light rail station and everyone waiting for train is looking at you. Food was good though!!

Food was delicious, and presented well. We had a table of eight, servers were personable and spot on with our orders, which enhanced the experience.

I had not heard of Coach's before and we were taking our 2 kids, 16 and 8, to see Brian Regan on NYE. There was no way I was going to attempt downtown on NYE without reservations and the places we normally go before shows are not really "kid-friendly" they are just bars that also serve food. I gave my 16 year old the privilege of choosing the restaurant and I am SO glad he chose Coach's. From the moment we walked in the staff was welcoming and friendly...went out of their way to make my 8 year old feel included. Our waiter, Andy, gave great recommendations on what to eat and EVERYTHING we ordered, from appetizers to entrees, EXCEEDED our expectations. This is NOT a bar that serves food, this is exceptional food in a relaxed bar/grill atmosphere. I may never eat anywhere else downtown, this place is fabulous.

Sports bar with perfect location across from Chase Field. Get there early on game night -- the place was packed. REALLY noisy, but it wasn't unexpected. Not a choice for a romantic dinner. Serving staff was great, food was good and decent variety. We'll go back. Now if they could guarantee our team would win!

If you are downtown Phoenix for a concert, sporting event, convention, or just want a fantastic meal within a "cool, trendy environment", Coach's Corner Grill is a cannot miss restaurant.

NOT typical bar food; this place has upscale food, cocktails, wine, and craft beers, plus outstanding service with wonderful friendly servers.

Solid number of HD TV's throughout the place, and a large, comfortable patio area are added positive touches.

This was the perfect place to meet up for a drink and some food before a downtown PHX sporting event. It was a double event night with the Suns and Dbacks playing and Coach's Corner is right between them. The fact that they take reservations saved us at least 45 minutes.

Ambiance was typical of a sports bar on a Friday evening with lots of energy, TVs, and fans of all teams playing that night. The food, however, was anything but typical. Everything was a step above normal bar food. The steak sandwich was outstanding and tender. The nachos feature thick artisan style chips with homemade queso.

Even though it was packed the service was friendly. We never had an empty glass and the food was ready pretty quickly.

A great experience.

Looking for a place for a sandwich before a concert that took reservations. IWas a bit concerned because they still had availability. Was very pleasantly surprised! The food was excellent. The wait staff was wonderful - even with the busy restaurant. The owner came by and checked on us. Would recommend highly for a quick meal before (and probably after) a sporting event or concert.

I wanted to met my girlfriend in downtown which is the middle spot for us. I found Coach's to meet her to watch the Football playoff
Games. I loved the place. The service was excellent, the food was great and atmoshere was perfect. I want to take my husband there.

I will definitely recommend this to my friends.

Obviously good for sports fans before or after a game. For a good lunch--not so much.

We were going to a show at the Ice House and this was one of the closest restaurants we could find, since there aren't any in that area. Michael Buble was at US Airways center that night, so there were a lot of older folks in there. The service was fine--not bad, not great. We got our food in a reasonable amount of time. We had the lobster bisque (which was decent, probably out of a can), we shared a caesar salad and the chicken panini. The salad was good--served as whole romaine leaves. The sandwich was also good, fries would have been good (they are the kind I like: the skinny ones), but they were not hot. All in all, it's a good place to go before a game or event, but I wouldn't head there otherwise.

A couple of friends and I tried Coach's Corner Grill for lunch on a weekday as we work nearby. It was fairly quiet and empty, which I am sure it would not be before a game. Our food was very well-prepared, although it took a bit longer than it should have to get to the table. Between us, we had the Fitness Platter (hummus and veggies), and a couple of different salads. We were all very happy with the freshness and quality of our food, and the lunch menu selection. We'll definitely go again, especially to avoid the crowds in all the lunch spots closer to Central and Washington!

3 of us went for lunch on a weekday. The restaurant had plenty of open tables when we arrived, but close to full by the time we left. Our server was fairly prompt in taking our order & bringing out beverages, but the food took over 35 minutes to come out. When I asked the server about our meals she said that she had just asked & the chef was plating them. My guess is that the order was lost somewhere because our food choices weren't time consuming . Everyone around us was eating & hadn't been there any earlier than we were. When the food came out it was tasty & prepared as it was supposed to be. During our meal the manager came by to apologize for the delay, but no discount was offered. I would give them another try since they're new.
