I was concerned leading up to the reservation due to comments I seen here but my server was great and we had a great time

What a wonderful opportunity to dine at one of the most unique and amazing dining experiences in the city of Detroit. The flavors are amazing, the presentation is bold and stylish, and don't ever leave without having ordered a steak - absolutely my favorite dish among so many worthy appetizers and entrees.

Best restaurant in Detroit, but it's closing at the end of this week. So I guess this is a send off review.

Everything was wonderful!!! We didn't have to wait long. The food was amazing. The service was fast and the servers were attentive.

Sad to hear this place is closing soon. What a great experience, with views of the entire downtown area.

We went for a late dinner on my birthday and it was a perfect way to close our evening! The ambiance and scenic views were perfect and the food was delicious. I was especially pleased that my steak was so tasty and tender. I can't wait to go back!

They definitely had a romantic quiet atmosphere the waiter was very nonchalant the food took a very long time to come out and the steak fries were burnt overall the steak was fabulous the porkchop was delicate and the lamb chops were very tender there was not a lot of seasoning on the meat to taste but I guess I can say they had a creative sauce for each main dish I really like to taste my meat with great seasoning and for my sauce to be an excellent topper I eat out at many different restaurants so I like for my dishes to be and overall Indulgence that is irresistible for me not to return for more and that is not the experience that I got when I visited this place but I would recommend it for an upscale business lunch or upscale dates that is very exquisite not really there so much for the food but mostly for the experience

This was a fantastic Valentine's Day dinner experience. It was the also the first time ever being here for my girlfriend and me. I'm glad we were able to eat here before the restaurant closes.

Me and my wife just celebrated our two year anniversary on February 13th, 2017, this was the place that I picked to dine. Never having been here before we had a wonderful experience, I really really hate that we found out about coach insignia a few days before it's closing! I miss the place already and my wife feels the same way... Thanks for the great service!!!!!

So sad the restaurant is closing :(

The food was great, but we felt like the staff seemed down. Perhaps sense the restaurant is closing? Our waitress was nice, but a little strange and out of it. It seemed like the attitude from the staff was, well we are closing so who cares. Definitely wasn't up to their usual standards.

Not as good as our other visits. Waitress was not comprehending the needs or desires of the customers. Polite but not connected. Food was warm at best, and seemed to have sat for awhile. Not the last hurrah I expected, or maybe knowing the end was near, the drive wasn't as great.

We had a lovely evening at Coach Insignia. The food was amazing and we did not feel rushed by the waiter. It was a relaxing evening with a beautiful view. We are sorry that the restaurant is closing after just discovering it!

It was amazing best experience ever the view and food amazing

A bit disappointed with the food, but loved the ambiance. Too bad we came so close to the closing of the restaurant (2/18/17). This probably was one of the reasons that the experience wasn't stellar.

Valentine's Day

This place is really nice. I would recommend this place if it wasn't closing. I would have like to return. The meal was good except it turned cold only after a few minutes of eating it.

We have never been disappointed when dining at Coach. The rack of lamb was great and the service was just right.

Absolutely loved our dining experience. Great food, great service, fun elevator ride up to the top of the RenCen! 'So sorry to know Coach is closing at the Detroit RenCen. Best view ever.

We felt this restaurant was extremely comfortable and relaxing. The view phenominal and
and the chairs were very comfortable. The food was also very good although the salmon portion a bit small for a mans appetite. The server was good but much more attentive to the table next to us that were having more than a couple alcoholic beverages. This was our first time at this restaurant and are so sorry to see it go. We would love to have made it our favorite restaurant for more than just special occasions.

Great place for Anniversaries but it's sad to see it go

Crab cakes had lots of flavor, lobster mac and cheese needed a boost, sea bass almost bland needed more flavor, drinks delicious......First and last time going

Sad to see it closing - especially because this was my first time there. So many good things to try. Definitely great for wine lovers, but even those drinking cocktails! We enjoyed the delicious lobster corn dog, their lobster bisque was to die for, wagyu steak, and the berkshire pork chop. The maple sauce on the pork chop was seriously delicious. Of course we had to have two desserts - the flourless chocolate cake and the bread pudding (the latter was my favorite of the two!). Such a great time in a really nice atmosphere.

PS. Melanie is a fantastic server. Seriously accommodating and wonderfully refreshing to find someone chill and personable.

Booked because I know they are closing soon; glad I did. We had a wonderful romantic date with a great view. Andrew, our server, was informative and attentive. We're both glad we went and shared the experience. Worth the $.

The 360" view of Detroit is quite the plus. Take the time to walk the restaurant and enjoy the view. Vodka martini was good, crisp olives added to its taste. The 3 shrimp cocktail was not near appetizer enough, so I ordered the crab cakes. 2 cakes small but very tasty. Had the ribeye ( no bone for my dog, a little disappointed) however enough steak to take some home for him, no guilt. Service was good. very attentive staff. This place is closing Feb. 18th I hope it re-opens under a different name. Would go back

Service and ambience were amazing. Our guests enjoyed their food very much but my husband and were a bit disappointed with it considering the price. Overall it was worth the drive .. the view is breath taking.

Love Coach Insignia. So sad to see it go. Made a reservation just to have dinner there one last time and it absolutely did not disappoint. Wonderful views and amazing food.

Food was great. I did ask for my steak well done but I still had some pink in there. But it was still a great steak. Our service was great the restaurant is beautiful! So sad they will be closing on the 18th! 😢
