We were celebrating our 8th anniversary and wanted a top notch restaurant without having to drive into Boston. Since we were quite familiar with Coach Grill, we knew we would not be disappointed.

Our waiter, Kevin, was fabulous in addition to the food!

Service was good. Not rushed and the crowd wasn't like the Capital Grill wannabes. Portions were European (small). Drinks could have been better. Watered (iced) down drinks in awkward glasses that don't go with the establishment.

Coach Grille sets a high standard. It is in the same restaurant group as Abe and Louie's and, as such, represents a slight step down in steak house ranking quality from that Boston steak house, since it offers fewer prime meat cuts, but...and this is a huge but...its offerings are still top notch; it doesn't require a drive downtown; it is consistently excellent in taste and service; it has a classic steak house atmosphere which is neither stifling nor flashy; it is slightly less expensive than most other top rated steak houses; it is warm, homey and inviting; it can be dressy or casual; it consistently offers an excellent high-quality meal indistinguishable from its "prime cut" sister in Boston.

The service was terrible. We had to wait forever to place an order and then it took over an hour (literally) to get our meals after we ordered them. They claim they were not happy with the way the meals came out the first time so they say they made them again. I think it was an excuse for forgetting about them in the first place since no one had come to our table to tell us and it took some time for the waitress and/or manager to figure out the problem.

What a great meal without having to travel into the city! My bone-in filet was cooked perfectly medium rare and sea bass was super tender and flavorful. Really enjoyed our night out with very attentive service

The food and service was excellent. The total cost was extraordinarily expensive and the Wine cost was ridiculously expensive. $644 plus 20% tip for ten people ( 2 kids with grilled cheese kids meals) was by far the most we have ever paid for a group meal. So will only go for special events

Went for Easter. Our waiter Kevin was fabulous. The food was delicious. It was a bit noisy due the holiday but nice just the same. We also were not rushed out which meant a lot to us.

Made reservation for Easter brunch with elderly mother 6 weeks in advance. Arrived on time. Was seated at table right next to kitchen. Complained directly to hostess... said it would be 10 min wait... felt like she was not adequately trained....complained to manager... let us stay at that table for 10 mins while got us a better table. New table was good, near a window in quieter part of restaurant. Enjoyed our meal. Although disappointed that had to go through the hassle, appreciated that manager could immediately address our grievance. Waitstaff excellent. Food very good... lobster risotto is excellent!

Food was good, had better on previous visits. Service was excellent, above average. Only complaint is that the glass of red wine I purchased was served warmer than room temp. I really prefer cellar temp but I understand the room temp thing. However, this was warmer than room temp. Either the glass just came out of the dishwasher or where they store the bottles of "wine by the glass" is too warm. Likely a storage issue, like most bars there's little room and they keep the bottles on the back counter. The back counters are usually on top of refrigerators that produce heat from their motors which rise up behind and then on top of the counter where the bottles are stored.

$5 glass of wine no big deal, I'd throw an ice cube into it............ but at $21 (for the smaller size pour) shouldn't have to!!!

Several senior friends from high school reconnect regularly. We enjoyed the convenient location and parking. Corner table was good. Only 6 arrived. Would have been too tight for 7. Everyone seemed happy with their meal.

There were NO vegetarian options other than a salad, or the children's elbow macaroni. Even the onion soup was made with beef or chicken broth so was off limits.
How do they expect to have no vegetarian options. I was recently at the Publik House in Sturbridge, MA and they produce an entire vegetarian menu on request! Now that is service.

It’s been a while since my last visit and I was instantly reminded why. The ambiance is very stodgy and, well, outdated. It’s the epitome of a 1980 steakhouse. Food was okay. Steakhouse, remember. If you like big slabs of meat at unreasonable prices, you’re in the right place. On the plus side, they don’t nickel and dime you on sides. My Delmanico steak came with (undercooked) asparagus and mashed potatoes. The steak wasn’t bad but nothing special either. I didn’t care much for the wine list. Reasonable choices are overpriced and the two by the glass options we tried from the winery they’re pushing were underwhelming. The deserts were unimaginative and disappointing. The cheesecake with coulis for example tasted like store bought cheesecake from Stop and Shop, with two streaks of red stuff on the plate.

Service and food were outstanding. We had a vegan in our group who notified the restaurant earlier in the day. The chef created a special meal which was wonderful and he came to the table a couple times to ensure everything was OK. We were extremely pleased with our whole experience!

I like the room and the fireplace. The problem is the fire place gave off no heat. Room was cold. My brunch was good at best. The home fries were the worst I’ve had.. soggy, tasteless and very, very oily. We had franchesca as our server and she was great. I will give it another try

Amazing all around! Loved the food, ambiance, service and prices especially compared to pricey national steak chains. Six of us at a round table and loved that we could hear everyone and all participate in the same conversation. This was our first visit but we’ll be back.

The food was excellent but the service was mediocre. I consider this to be an upscale restaurant and the service was very slow. I was also brought the wrong meal and barely got an apology. Luckily they brought me the correct meal rather quickly but I thought maybe some of the bill would be discounted considering it is not an inexpensive place to eat but it was not. The food was delicious but I did not get the level of service I would expect for a high bill. I would come back for brunch to try but not really worth the high price for dinner.

Three of the four steaks came out incorrect, well done when most had ordered medium rare. I was upset they didn’t take any of them off the bill. Instead they bought us a round of drinks and desserts. Better than nothing I guess but we had to wait for our food to get recooked. There was a lot of confusion on the ordering of the appetizers as well. Overall not worth the money in my opinion. Food was decent but very high price. Not worth the money.
