Food was good, presentation was fabulous and loved the unique glassware! Quantity was a little small. Cauliflower app was delicious. The temps in the restaurant were FRIGID but was maybe 15 degrees outside. May have been a heat problem.

Burrrrrr it’s cold, outside for sure but inside the restaurant too. Not sure what the problem was, but it was uncomfortably cold this afternoon. We, as most customers, kept coats and gloves while eating brunch today. The staff offered no explanation and only responded with “I know”. This situation was poorly handled. Another issue was regarding the brunch trio pricing. On the website, brunch was listed at $26. However, we had menus with pricing at $29 and $34. In response our waiter picked up the menus with $29, replaced with $34 menus. The math gets a bit fuzzy, but ordering the same items a la carte is the better deal. This was NOT a good dining experience. Yet, I must mention, the food was pretty darn delicious.

Food was not worth while. Service was not bad but the place was very cold. Unfair to serve customers in that environment.

Not a great place, it was fair but I would not go again. Definitely not a value for what I paid.

The food was pretty good - lots of interesting choices and of course the chocolate bacon! We enjoyed the food, especially the ONYX dessert which was yummy.
My grand daughter had the SMORES entree which she enjoyed very much even though she is usually a picky eater. Hard to argue with SMORES!
The seats were very uncomfortable and when the door opened there was definitely a new chill in the air even thought we were about as far from the door as you could get.
It is a fun destination.

Not what you expect when you go out for brunch with the girls. Food was ok and server did not want to be there (she was so BLA and I'm kind). No explanation of the menu, or plates. No wonder the restaurant was empty.

Went for a date night on a Friday. The place wasn't packed, but service was still slow. We sat and watched our waiter walk past us at least 5-6 times without saying anything. It was cold inside and the lighting was way too dim (almost dark). The food was disappointing. We ordered the shrimp mac'n'cheese and the sweet and sour cauliflower. Neither of them was anything special. For entrees we ordered the beef sliders and the ravioli. We ended up sending the ravioli back because the sauce was too thin and smelled like puke! Got the fries instead (the only thing that we really enjoyed eating). I didn't even bother with dessert or ordering more drinks. Went to The Smith next door for dessert (place was booming and warm and cozy). Co co Sala is way too expensive for sub-par service and food. The first time I came, I was blown away (by the dessert mainly). I don't think I'll be returning.

Overall, the restaurant and service were wonderful. However, the restaurant is extremely cold. The people next to us dined in their winter jackets the entire meal. We asked to be moved back toward the kitchen away from the wind gusting in from the front door, but it was still fairly cold. The service was great about it and tried to help keep us warm with a portable heater but there's not a lot they could do. I wouldn't go back unless it was summer.

We have ordered chocolates from their shop next door for ten years now. We expected the restaurant to match this. People were coming in for dessert only .That’s perfect! For dinner we made that mistake... the restaurant was very cold. The service was poor and the server who doubled as the host did not understand what I was trying to order. The food was very average. We were so disappointed as we waited a long time to try this place as we live on the West Coast. There really are much better places for dinner around this area but dessert was worth trying.

had high hopes, dashed. ..

food looked great on menu, delicious combinations of classic French, sometimes with a twist or slight local add. But each item arriving was too salty, way too salty to appreciate. cassoulet lovely with flagolets, but I'mrevognixable beyond the salt.

puff pastry is several dishes..may have come from Costco? certainly to plain and clearly not made on prem.

ambiance..depends, not notate and cozy, more loud and check me out.

Came here after going to Ford's theater with a group of 8, ages 9 to 70. Everyone loved the meal. Adults try the chocolate mojito! Kids (or adults) try a hot chocolate.

Service was fantastic. They went out of their way to make sure the kids had a great time.

Desserts are a must. The onyx was our favorite.

If you like chocolate you'll love coco Sala.

Went here for my birthday brunch. Food and drinks were very good, dessert is a must. However our server was not very attentive. It took a while to get our drink order then our food order. We waited probably 20 minutes once our plates were cleared for him to return and ask us about dessert. Multiple times we needed to flag him down while he stood at the bar staring off into space and we had to ask multiple times for our check. I can understand if the restaurant was packed however it wasn't very busy. We expected better service for a restaurant on the expensive side, however yet again the food was amazing.

Over we really enjoyed it but the only things that bothered us was the fact that the waitress never asked if it was our first time there so were never told we've have to pay for water on top of the fact our waitress was not personable. We asked for recommendations and we could barely get an answer. She just wasn't friendly at all.

We chose the restaurant because of the reviews on the chocolate desserts and Mac & cheese. The atmosphere really wasn’t us - BUT someone else would like it. It’s a tight squeeze, low lights and loud. I’m 28, and I felt like it was too “hip” for me LOL It was hard to talk over the music, and the other tables because you’re so close together. The service was slow, and the waiter messed up our orders (due to the loudness I’d say). Mac n cheese was okay; the hot chocolate was our favorite though.

The food was tasty but small portions. The ravioli was good but you only get 4 silver dollar sized pieces. Seating is uncomfortable and cramped, not some place you'll want to linger over your meal.

Noticeable degradation on food quality over the years, combined with increasing cramped dining space means the mgmt is focused more on table turn- over than food quality.

Some good dishes, however menu has lost its edge. There are certainly more compelling dining experiences in the area, meaning Coco Sala falls down the recommendations list.

Everything is way over-priced and way over-salted. Don't go for dinner. But do go with a chocolate lover for cocktails and dessert.

Food was incredibly average, only reason the food was rated for three stars is the dessert was a little above average. They seated us near a group of people even though in the entire restaurant there were just a few seats that were taken. I was taking my wife here on a date. Co Co Sala instead of feeling intimate just felt dark. Oh and the besides the handicap bathroom the other bathrooms are incredibly confusing. You start by going in a room with two sliding doors on either side. You open the sliding doors to find a sink/mirror and another door. One is male and the other is female which is barely marked on the door. And the second door leading into what I assume is the mens room has no handle just a lock.

I ordered the hot and sour cauliflower and the restaurant was not very crowded but the food came out barely warm and with way too much sauce. Good flavor but I think the key to good food quality is the food coming out hot. It was a reservation of six for my birthday dinner and I was excited. I ordered the champagne and chocolate sampler also and that was good. My entree was the tuna tartare and it was okay, I feel it could have used a bit more spice. The toffee pudding dessert was very tasty and I think I would only return here for drinks and dessert.

Took my mom for dinner here before the Washington International Horse Show. Absolutely would recommend this restaurant for a nice evening out. The service was wonderful and the food and drinks were superb. I usually do not get dessert but Co-Co Sala you have to save room for dessert! Highly recommend the "Azelia Amour" dessert!

Super expensive but the food was only mediocre. Nice cocktails though. I was also surprised that although I mentioned it was a retirement dinner there were no special touches like a special dessert from the chef. In other venues, once you say it is a special occasion they always make some gesture.
