Co Co. Sala Ratings and Reviews
I live out of state and my last time here was 3 years ago. I wish I could get out here more. I love the vibe, the cocktails and the food! It is expensive but worth it!! I have been to more expensive restaurants that don’t have the above mentioned!!! Every time I am in DC I will visit!!
I ordered the hot and sour cauliflower and the restaurant was not very crowded but the food came out barely warm and with way too much sauce. Good flavor but I think the key to good food quality is the food coming out hot. It was a reservation of six for my birthday dinner and I was excited. I ordered the champagne and chocolate sampler also and that was good. My entree was the tuna tartare and it was okay, I feel it could have used a bit more spice. The toffee pudding dessert was very tasty and I think I would only return here for drinks and dessert.
Took my mom for dinner here before the Washington International Horse Show. Absolutely would recommend this restaurant for a nice evening out. The service was wonderful and the food and drinks were superb. I usually do not get dessert but Co-Co Sala you have to save room for dessert! Highly recommend the "Azelia Amour" dessert!
Super expensive but the food was only mediocre. Nice cocktails though. I was also surprised that although I mentioned it was a retirement dinner there were no special touches like a special dessert from the chef. In other venues, once you say it is a special occasion they always make some gesture.
Yet another awesome dining experience at Co Co Sala!! This restaurant has become our go-to spot for happy hour and celebration of special events. You simply can’t go wrong choosing this location. The food is outstanding and the service is always beyond reproach.
We went for the three course dessert menu as a special experience for our son's birthday. Our kids are 8 and 11, so we made sure they were on their best behavior, and the staff made it a wonderful experience for them. The desserts were amazing with layers of complex flavor. I indulged in the Fetish cocktail and it was sweet but not sugary and still tasted like an adult beverage. Be sure to order one of the hot CoCo offerings for a truly special treat.
We had Sunday brunch here for a Bachelorette party. The service was great and the food was excellent, with filling meal sizes. We were first seated at a window table with backless stools, but were moved to bit more comfortable seating after asking our host. We all left satisfied!
We were reccomended this place by a friend and it lived up to the great things they had to say about it. The food was very unique and amazingly delicious. I would 100 percent reccomend this for anyone looking for a nice and tasty dinner for a special occasion.
Took two grumpy teenage daughters here before a concert at Verizon. Great atmosphere. Waitress encouraged no cell phones at the table. Love her for that! Tuna tartare was DELICIOUS. Kids enjoyed ravioli and mac and cheese. Dessert was a tough call -- so many incredible options -- but the Chef's choice of chocolates was beautifully presented, perfect propotions. I'll never forget the Banana Royale chocolate that we managed to split three ways. Amazing part of a great evening out.
Service: waited fairly long time after being seated, forgot what we ordered, then put it in wrong. Never got our salads.
Food: The steak was decent, fries were amazing. The shrimp dish wasn't good at all.
The saving grace for the meal was the dessert, which was absolutely amazing.
My sister and I went to Co Co. Sala before the Ed Sheeran concert at the Capital One Arena. We were so excited to try the Chef's Tasting Dessert Menu and it did not disappoint. We loved every bite. The food was phenomenal with a presentation that could not be topped. The service was excellent and the ambiance was unmatched by any of the local restaurants. We were so pleased with our choice and will absolutely go back. Highly recommend.
Went for my friends bachelorette. Seating was delayed due to a party overstaying their reservation, but it wasn't a problem at all. We were greeted and given seats at the bar while we waited and even offered a round of champagne! The service was efficient and friendly, and the kitchen was very accommodating to allergy and diet restrictions, the food was delicious! Everyone in our group of 9 was extremely pleased. Staff was made aware we had another reservation after dinner and were very efficient to make sure we received our bill in time to get us out the door when we needed to. Overall a great experience, will definitely be back!
I can't find any special dishes on the menu, only the desserts is good; the waiter forgot to order steak for us, then we got two sea bass, same salad, so nothing we could share. Fetish looks great. I'm a little frustrated about the food, without a creative design.
We came here for brunch and decided to try the three-course menu. The food was delicious. I had the Aztec Enchilada which was incredibly flavorful and unique. My friend had the Smores French Toast, which was so rich and decadent. The desserts was also quite good. We opted for the bottomless option and were very happy with the berries and bubbles drink. Though the food was good, service could be better. I believe the issue was that our server was taking care of a large party in the back room, and for that reason he really neglected our table. There were a few times that we had empty drink glasses for a while, and with a bottomless option that really is not pleasant to have. We also did not have our plates cleared for dessert for quite some time, waiting almost 15 minutes after completing the main course before the plates were cleared and dessert was served, all while our drink glasses were empty. I'd definitely come back for the food, but not for the service.
This place is truly a gem. Upon arriving in the D.C. Area o immediately goodgled "best desserts" and this place showed up. After reading the menu and cocktail list I knew I needed to visit before heading back to NYC.
Three course brunch was outstanding. Plenty of options for all, and it was really bad to choose what I wanted. Ended up going with the grown up grilled cheese and wow. The tomato soup this was paired with had an amazing, slightly Spicy flavor that was top notch.
I wanted to hit all of the cocktails. I gave it a good but, trying the libido (pineapple and chocolate ice cubes. My favorite) the C3 (vodka, Patron xo and a baileys foam. The strongest :) and the malted milk. (Shaved chocolate was the best!) my friend tried the fetish (chocolate covered strawberries? Yum) the chocolate mojito (excellent flavor) and the honey mule (wasn't a giant fan as the ginger was overpowering but the honey lollipop?? Outstanding. They even gave me extra to take home :)
My friends all got the chocolate and bubbly pairing and said it was out of this world, and continued to order extra sparkling after the meal.
Service was outstanding and our server was incredibly knowledgeable and kind. It was a holiday weekend so the chocolate store was closed, however the manager made an exception and opened it just for us! Service in here was TOP notch.
If ever I am in DC again I will make it a point to stop here. Great for agirls night out of date night I am sure! Would love to come for dinner!
Thank goodness we were unable to come here for a first date. The service was nonexistent! It got so bad we started to time long it took to even see our server and he only had two tables (that we saw). If that wasn't enough he did not seem to know the menu or want to explain it.
The main dishes were very boring and was over priced.
The deserts were in a word: disappointing. There was a lot going on with the onyx but the decoration tasted so bad. It had these little sponge things that tasted like sponges. And a chocolate square on top of the main piece that tasted wrong. The churros were meh.
Overall, you should skip this place if you want chocolate or food.
