The cuisine is not the only element that sets Clydz apart from the rest. The trendy bar, enhanced by fish tanks and fireplaces, offers an extensive and adventurous martini and cocktail selection. Clydz own “private label” vodka was introduced fall ’11 with great success.
When making a reservation please keep in mind, tables will only be held 15 minutes past the reservation time. Due to high volume during dinner, an $18 food minimum per person is required. Reservations for cocktails only are not accepted.
I feel as though we are not meant to dine here. An unfortunate situation happened with a patron, and some of us had to scramble out of the way and move our tables and chairs. Our meals were on the house because of the inconvenience, so they tried to make it right, but My fiancé and I don’t fathom coming back for dinner again. Maybe drinks at the bar. It was an omen when Craig asked us to leave the first time we dinned.
Excellent dinner. Server was well versed on the menu and was able to answer any questions we had. What a great menu! Had the special - lamb shank, was awesome.
The food was really good. The fois gras was about 1 tablespoon but outstanding.
The grass fed beef ribeye was dry and on the tough side. The service couldn’t have been better. Very thoughtful and a perfect balance of attentive and giving us our personal space. Never pretentious, always a good night out.
Had reservations with my boyfriend for Valentine’s Day & thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. I had the scallops & he ordered the roasted organic chicken - both were delicious. Our server was helpful in recommending an appetizer. My only qualm is that upon coming in after spending 20 min looking for parking, my boyfriend was told we would only have until 9:15 to eat (our reservation was for 7:30, but he dropped me off since we could not find parking immediately). Because of this we felt a little rushed, but our food & drink orders came in a timely manner & we managed to get out around 9 anyway (even before some of the people who were sat prior to us).
This is the second year in a row that we came here for Valentine’s Day and we are definitely coming back here every year! We drive about an hour from New York just to come here. This year, we didn’t expect there to be traffic and because of construction, the ride ended up being over an hour and a half long. We had 7pm reservations and ended up getting there closer to 8pm. With a call to the restaurant, they assured us that whenever we get there, we would be accommodated. The waiter we had was wonderful, the owner was so sweet (they had to move us from one booth to another and he took care of our drinks just for the inconvenience, which we didn’t even mind anyway), and the food, as always, was incredible. Not only that, but they really go above and beyond for Valentine’s Day. The outside stairs into the restaurant were covered with rose petals, as well as the table, and after dinner, they give you a long stem rose. We definitely recommend this restaurant and we will definitely be back!
Tables are placed too close together
Lovely menu for those who enjoy meat. Very nice waiter.
Food was mediocre, service and drinks were amazing
Overall had a good experience. For apps had beef satay which was great. Python ravioli - I would say was a bad choice, but exotic. Had the skirt steak which was great, my wife had fish which was a bit dry and son had shrimp pasta which was excellent. Drinks were good but took a while to figure out what order as they have a huge menu. Would go back and try a few other items on the menu.
Great cocktails, great food, great fun!
I went for my boyfriends birthday with about couple and the food and service were amazing. I would definitely be coming back to enjoy the different types of game food this restaurant provides. Highly recommend!
From the moment we walked in we were treated like royalty. Eugene was fabulous and his suggestions were point on.
Food was delicious and perfectly prepared. We were able to converse with Michael and you could sense the pride he had in his restaurant.
We’ll be back!
Very good service and excellent food choices
The waiter was amazing food Delish ! Was a great time!
This would have been a 5 star except I ordered a ribeye steak - tasty but it had a lot of fat - almost like a grocery store bought piece rather than a butcher bought piece. Other than that, everything was great. Appetizers - quesadillas and beef satay were fantastic - tasty and unbelievably big portions. My wife had a petite filet mignon that she said was very good and perfectly seasoned. The martinis were perfect as always at Clydz. And the warm berry desert was a very tasty way to end our dinner. Good job - we’ll be back for sure.
Food was excellent as always. Wait staff was great.
I was disappointed with the Clydz cooler. I believe they forgot the vodka. I will go back and try a different drink. Parking is a challenge.
Birthday dinner. Drinks and dinner were excellent. Perfect service.
It was just a great place to be. So cozy and amazing food
Great customer service as well. Love it
good if not great food. they seemed to try a bit too hard. a little more on the simple side would have been my preference...i had the trout. service was very good
Drinks are wonderful at Clydz! The appetizers are well thought out and unique. The tomato jam with the bone marrow is wonderful. All of the dinners were excellent as well except the kangaroo loin was tough.
Food was great. Service was amazing. (Thank you, Terri!!)
Terri, Mike, and, Alek, were Exceptional Hosts. You really made my wife's birthday special. Highly recommended!
I love the cheese plates here. Always amazing service. Great way to spend the new year.
Been going to Clydz for New Year's eve for past 5 years. This year to food was very good except the creamy polenta with the Pork Tenderloin wasn't creamy but our other dishes were enjoyable. Duck flatbread was very good. Cocktails can't be beat. Will be back next year.
We always enjoy having such a wide variety of dishes to choose from; and to try items that you would not normally find at most restaurants. The kangaroo in a blanket was very tasty very well prepared. The NY strip steak was a great value & all the vegetables complimenting the steak were wonderful. We cannot ever remember ordering something we didn't enjoy.
We've been talking about going here for 25 years now, ever since we attended Rutgers, and just never got around to it. I'm mixed on the food--while we enjoyed the duck confit flatbread, I either was not in the mood for the meat to bread ratio or would've preferred it presented in a less "bread-y" way. My scallops were perfect and my husband enjoyed his steak. The Earl Grey's Anatomy was sooo delicious, as was the local white wine (special) from Unionville Winery. Service was attentive and, while the next table over was pretty close to us, the people were fun and friendly. All in all, enjoyable and delicious!
I haven't been to Clydz in years and was not surprised to see that they had maintained their reputation with excellent food, cocktails and service! If you're in New Brunswick, this is a place to visit,...repeatedly!
Great food and amazing service. We both agreed we would come back soon!
Diverse menu. Meat selections outside the norm. Great cocktail menu, second to none. Nice formal dinner area and lively bar with a younger crowd.
Great service and as always unusual food on the menu and everything was delicious! We love this restaurant!!!
Great time but waitress was rude once she found out we were just having martinis and apps. Mind you our bill was well over $100. Would def come back but need a different server
I made a reservation for 3 but they only had set the table for 2. They couldn't make the adjustment in the dining room so we opted to sit behind the bar. Our seat was drafty because it was the closest seat to the door and it was about 20s/30s out. The food was good and the service was good. Overall, we had a good time.
Food is a bit overcooked, and taste is fair. Great service.
Different menu with plenty of choices. Good food and atmosphere
We went pre show for dinner. The atmosphere was wonderful. Service was very good. The food quality was top shelf.
Outstanding food and service. One-of-a-kind.
Service was great. The food was surprisingly good- one of the best meals I’ve had in New Brunswick I had the Filet Tips Wrap and a cream of vegetable soup- both delicious. I also think the ambiance is great- perfect for a business meal, larger groups and even a date night. There is also some seating at the bar up front if you’re flying solo. I think it’s a great spot in New Brunswick and will definitely go back.
My first time at Clydes with my family. You walk into the restaurant with ton of people from the bar staring at you, waited for about 3 minutes for someone to tell us that we need to go through the crowd behind for reserved dinner tables. Once there was greeted well and made to sit for a party of 3, celebrating my daughter’s birthday. The server for our table asked us if this was our first time and we said yes. Gave us our menus and told us to let him know if we had questions. I found out later on they have a bread basket that comes prior to our food, and also of specials for the day. That was from a different server at another table who explained the menu for first time diners like us. We did make substitutions to our order and it was all mixed up, didn’t get to taste the boar sausage:(. The food was good, experience not worth the $300 I spent. They need to clean up the front house for sure.
