Clyde's Willow Creek Farm Ratings and Reviews
This was our first time at Clydes and loved the atmosphere. I ordered grilled chicken Garganelle. It was so heavy on the garlic that I picked out the chicken but couldn’t eat the rest. I love garlic and love spices but this was overkill. I had my husband taste it and he felt the same. We will be back and try something else. Our waitress was nice, but service was very slow.
You probably shouldn't put a couple near a table with 30 kackling women. That really isn't fair to the customer at this price point. Luckily, our service was an absolute delight. Food was awful, don't get the french toast it is like fried doughnuts. I get it, it's just how many calories is that exactly.
The food is good--no surprises, good or bad. Service is steady and friendly. The booths are comfortable and diners aren't rushed. The prices are about what you would expect for a good meal in pleasant surroundings in this area. A little higher than they should be, but it's still a very pleasing experience.
I have had good experiences at Willow Creek, but this was not one of them. Service was poor, food just okay, and the staff in general seemed frazzled and unable to handle the crowds. There are lovely decorations for the holidays, but they need to step up their game.
This was our first visit to Willow Creek in over a year. The last time we were there, service was pretty lousy. I'm pleased to report that service was very good this time around. Also, the place was nicely decorated for the holidays.
On the other hand, the food was not very good. My french fries tasted as if they had been sitting for a considerable period of time before being delivered to our table. One person at our table ordered shrimp and grits. But for the fact they were called shrimp and grits, she said they sure didn't taste like shrimp and grits. Another person at our table said that the ravioli he ordered would have been better without all the sauces that covered the dish.
We like Clyde 's. We've never been disappointed at the restaurants at Gallery Place, Reston or Tower Oaks. For some reason, Willow Creek never matches our experience at other Clyde's and for that reason, I doubt we will ever go back to Willow Creek,
Have been to Clydes several times where the food was outstanding. I was fairly disappointed on this occasion. I took my brother for Sunday Brunch. He was in town for the Thanksgiving holiday and I wanted to take him some place special. The food was noticeably different in quality. My brother ordered Shepherds pie. When he began his meal he notices the carrots were uncooked and several lobster shells were in the pie. He sent back the pie and ordered French Toast. By that time my wife and I had completed our meals and he felt rushed to finish his. His meal was "comped" but did not take away from a very special day turning out to be a disappointment.
We eat at Clyde's Willow Creek often. We have eaten there on New Year's Eve, another Thanksgiving Day, birthdays, etc. We really love the food and the great atmosphere. The wait staff can't be beat. But after making a reservation for Thanksgiving, we came a little early and had to wait an inordinate amount of time. The turkey dinner was just ordinary, not special, as we've come to expect from them. They served way too much turkey and not enough of the stuffing and mashed potatoes. The sweet potatoes weren't glazed, as advertised, and the green beans, while plentiful, were raw. I don't mind crisp, but not a fan of raw. The bread was, as usual, delicious. The pinot noir recommended for the turkey was really delicious. This is a one-off review as we really love Clyde's and recommend it to all our friends. Next time, I'll order the calamari (my fav) and a salad.
I would like your beer menu to provide more variety. This has always been my only complaint with your restaurants. I particularly would like to see more real Belgian beers (e.g., Duvel is one of my favorites), as well as a good German selection (e.g., Spaten). All in all, Clyde's is always a great dining experience!
It was a great value for Thanksgiving dinner! There was plenty of food, including taking leftovers home. Our server, Mike, was terrific too! He was very patient, friendly, and did not try to rush us out of the restaurant for the next wave of reservations. I really appreciated that! It was Thanksgiving, so it was nice to sit and relax, enjoy our company, and not be rushed. Nice not to have to clean up either. Next year, I will be sure to make my reservations early!!! WOW! They fill up fast and I understand why. Very enjoyable! Thank you Clyde's Willow Creek!
Great food. Beautiful building. We went this time for the lobster special, which We fully enjoyed. Only downside this visit was particularly bad server. However, we go we are often in poor service is the exception. I generally highly recommend this restaurant.
We are regulars here, and was disappointed with the service that night. Seats in the booth had crumbs, service was painfully slow, didn't get asked if we wanted another glad of wine, we ordered gluten free bread which didn't show up until dessert. Good was great as always, but I'm guessing they were not prepared for a large crowd on a Tuesday night. If I didn't know better, I would probably not return.
