Clyde's Willow Creek Farm Ratings and Reviews
We are frequent diners at Clyde’s. In the last year we continue to see a decline in the quality of food served. The crab cakes no longer taste fresh. What’s more, tonight there was a hair sticking out of the side of my burger. Our server seemed genuinely shocked and kindly removed the burger from our check, even after bringing another burger. He was also very attentive throughout our meal. We will return but remain concerned about what’s going on in the kitchen. There should never be any objects found in food at a restaurant such as Clyde’s—period.
As a side note, the side of fruit served with the kids meal contained pomegranate seeds with a few grapes, sliced blood orange (or grapefruit?) and one apple slice. My son ate the apple slice but that was about it. It seems like a waste of fruit to serve such a bizarre medley of fruit to children.
Went to Clyde's at Willow Tree Farm for the first time. Was a bit apprehensive as I've been to the Reston location and hadn't thought much of it. However, Willow Creek was superb. Went with a party of 5 and everyone LOVED their entree. The buildings themselves were a big bonus. Walked around after to look at all the room options. Will definitely be going back.
Repeat customer. My friend and I meet here (it's halfway between the two of us). Comfortable surroundings, ability to converse without others overhearing, food above-par casual lunch fare (some things with a nice twist), and servers (in the most recent case, Mark) always attentive and pleasant. Haven't done brunch or dinner, but would expect quality nonetheless.
Always good food that changes with the seasons. All Clyde’s have basically the same menu but somehow this one does everything better.
The decor is beautiful and creative. It’s a great place to take visitors because they are always impressed by the decor first, and then the food.
Service is always good.
Clyde's did not disappoint! We are always pleased after dining at this Clyde's in Broadlands. The food quality, service and ambience is predictable. No matter what you select from the broad menu, you will enjoy it. We always look forward to returning, even though it's located 45 minutes from our home in Winchester.
Ambiance and service was very good however the food was disappointing. I ordered the crab cakes and for the price charged it should have been mainly crab with little breading but this was not the case. I've had much better as Sweetwater Tavern for 2/3 the price.
Service was great! Table was ready on time and was a booth like we asked for. Wait staff were great. We dont usually come here because its usually too noisy for us. This was New years eve so we were ok with it. They have different rooms with different ambiances. Busy night obviously.
We’ve gone to Clydes at Willow Creek Farms on New Year’s eve for several years. It seems to have lost its magic this year. The menu isn’t what it used to be and the place is getting run down — the seat cover in our booth even had a big rip in it. Our waitress seemed to forget about us and when we finally did get our food, it was not memorable. It was mediocre at best. Probably won’t be back anytime soon.
Wonderful food, wonderful service. New Year's Eve, we book a dinner reservation before a formal party. More than a little disappointed to be dressed to the nine's, wife in a mink coat and we were shown to a table in the bar area with loud, drunk folks watching football and screaming. As it was new year's eve the place was crowded and we didn't want to wait another 30 minutes for an open table.... but you would think that one of the five people running the front desk would have been perceptive enough to see that we were a party expecting a nice night out, not beers and nachos in the bar
We went to Clyde's at Willow Creek Farm for New Years Eve dinner. Although crowded the service was excellent. There are several dining rooms with a rustic atmosphere yet clean and spacious. Each Clyde's has its own menu and we enjoyed the food more than the Reston Clyde's, which we have gone to often. It's a bit of a drive out to the Leesburg area but worth it.
We have dined at Clyde's Willow Creek Farm several times previously, and this time we seriously considered not coming back again. The food, even lacking a wow factor, is still good. However the service was subpar. Everybody, from the hostess desk people to the wait staff, acted like they would rather be somewhere else. The greeting at the hostess desk was borderline rude and the service in the dining room was limited to just taking order and bringing the food and drinks out. Well, not exactly, the waitress made an effort to say something nice when handing us the check!
We were there on 12/29, so maybe it was that crazy holiday season time??? Management really need to look into retraining their staff, holiday season or not!
The Samuel French room proved to be perfect for our family holIday luncheon with nine adults spanning three generations. The fireplace was cozy on a cold Thursday afternoon in late December. The semi-private room was intimate enough for quiet conversation. The menu offers a variety of dishes, which are well conceived and well executed (e.g., tasty entree salad with grilled salmon, shaved brussel sprouts, frisee, and grains) -- this is a hallmark of the Clyde's chain. Service was attentive and congenial, consistent with our past experiences.
Consistently high-quality food and service explain why Clyde's is a long-time family favorite. And now we know to ask for the Samuel French room again.
