Food was excellent, but I was a bit disappointed in the service. I had called ahead to let staff know that this was a "significant" birthday event and to ask that champagne (pre-ordered label) for a toast be at the table upon our arrival. Neither was known by our wait person and a different champagne was presented after a bit of a wait. Service was adequate but a bit slow perhaps due to attention given to a wedding party going on at same time. It seemed our server had too many tables to cover. These are clearly not huge complaints, but disappointments.
Parmesan crusted trout is always excellent! Asparagus was a great compliment to it.
Great venue for a large party or event. Great value for our large party. Enjoyed the food, the meal came out relatively fast, dessert too a bit long. Coffee was near cold.
All of us enjoyed the food, service was good, atmosphere beautiful.
Very nice dining experience as usual. Tasty food and prompt service. Recommended!
I had heard about Willow Creek Clyde's from few friends for a while as they had nothing but great things to say about it. I was staying at a hotel in Leesburg for friend's wedding ceremony the following day and decided to treat myself as I had opentable dollars to redeem and the restaurant was only 15 mins away from my hotel. I actually enjoyed a rather yummy dinner in the dining room - I ordered maryland crab soup and brussels sprouts salad as appetizers and the salad is definitely a must for foodies! The mix of vegetables combined with grainy mustard vinaigrette adding a nice taste, I will not forget this salad too easily for sure. For my main entree, I ordered their scallops - I will say that they were smaller than I had expected but the delicious taste made up for that.
Since I did not know when I would be returning back here, I decided to have post-meal drinks at the bar and the bartender was awesome. Every Clyde's does their HH specials a little bit differently - here, they do $3 off appetizers and $5 off burgers in addition to drink specials which is a great deal. A must for any foodies that live in/around Ashburn area or plan to visit.
We had a very enjoyable evening. We were traveling and it was recommended.
Parents 60th anniversary
We had a great experience. The calamari and the crab dip were outstanding. My favorite entree the trout was as usual exceptional. The service was great as I have come to expect from this restaurant. I choose this restaurant due to the good value and excellent consistent service.
Food was very good as usual but service was extremely slow. It wasn't the kitchen but our waitress. We always enjoy their very fresh seasonal vegetables and special desserts. Consistently enjoyable food.
We had a 40th birthday dinner celebration. The ambience was very nice. The staff friendly and attentive. Everyone liked what they ordered with the exception of the shaved salad that had no dressing and no flavor...it came with the excellent crab cake. The fillet steak was cooked as ordered but the texture tasted like paper (a shame for the price.) Loved the whipped potatoes that came with it. The crab soup is delicious. The cowboy steak very good. The Angus burger and crab cake sandwich, both were very good. Our appetizers of artichoke dip with bread was enjoyed by all.
Three friends went to The Willow Creek Farm last Sunday. Two of the people had not seen each other for 14 years so there was a lot of catching up to do. We all shared the crab & artichoke dip and it was enjoyed by all three of us. I couldn't leave the last little bit because it (and the delicious bread) were sooo good. We took a long time visiting while eating the appetizer and the waiter just left us alone, which was great! We finally ordered and had a delicious meal. I had the Classic bennie and it was very good but because of eating so much earlier, I only ate part of the one piece of English muffin.
I took home dessert which Bailey's Cheesecake with an Oreo Crust. I didn't think the Oreo Crust would go well but it was fantastic!! It came with caramel sauce and whipped cream. My husband was hoping he could have the whole thing but I needed to taste it and it was really good.
The service was superb, the ambiance is beautiful ... we come all the way from Oakton to eat here and I can't wait to go back, it's always so good and such a special place to visit.
Excellent as usual
We've been patrons of Clyde's Willow Creek Farm for years now. We are regulars and eat there at least 3 times a month. So that's saying something if we keep coming back. They always have something on the menu that we like.
I commend them on making a commitment to maintaining and improving quality ingredients in their food and not letting prices get out of control. While it's not a cheap eat, it's nowhere near as expensive as Morton's or The Capital Grille. And I only mention those places because Clyde's has a Steakhouse section on their menu that's very good. The initially rolled out a lot of options and had to cut it back to about half. The side there have also changed and unfortunately they took away this incredibly good potatoes with cheese and bacon on a skillet (it was like a loaded baked potato in pieces, diced up in good sized chunks. Shame, we loved it.
They tend to have several fish options. One of us is a pescaterian who doesn't like Salmon. I am a Salmon lover and they do a very good Salmon. They also have a great trout. But some don't like trout so they often have Rockfish. It would be nice to see Seabass and Halibut on their menu more. They do have Rockfish on there now and for the last month which is nice.
Sandwiches: They do a very good burger, but can't seem to get the temperature right. I like it perfect medium (light pink in the middle), but they always overcook it. I've given up. I used to send it back all the time, now I just eat it well done. The have a great chicken sandwich, both grilled and fried.
They also have a nice Caesar salad and their Bread is wonderful.
The waitstaff are very nice, the hostesses are lovely, and we love Willow Creek Farm. No place is perfect. And they have worked very hard to make it a place that is a solid, reliable, and tasty treat.
Wonderful food and great ambiance. Service was outstanding
Long time patron. Have watched/enjoyed both value and quality of food remain above reproach EXCEPT this particular visit. We always enjoy the Cheese Platter. Fruit, nuts, bread, interesting cheeses .. imagine my dismay this time: 5 very small CUBES of cheese, a small cup of GRAPE jelly, overly toasted pieces of raisin bread, and tucked in the corner was a sticky scoop of an overly sweet minced nut mixture. WHERE DID YOUR QUALITY CONTROL GO? Why was GRAPE jelly on the platter? What in the world was that nut stuff for? I was very disappointed; esp. because that plate isn't cheap. Sending it back wasn't an option. Not only was I with a client, service was overwhelmed outside and any extra request would have seriously tipped the service balance even more.
We did enjoy the Spring Market Salad w/exceptionally well-grilled salmon, as well as the decadent strawberry tart. Your food is always good. I am hopeful that this was an unfortunate case of poor oversight that won't be repeated.
Met cousins for lunch at Clyde's Willow Creek farm. Beautiful estate setting. Quiet, good service, and good food. Able to talk and hear each other without strain. We highly recommend this restaurant.
Love this place so much. The team here is so professional and nice. Food was fantastic as always.
Very nice meal as usual. Tasty food and attentive service. Recommended!
Cozy, relaxed atmosphere and attentive service.
Nice to be there and not feel rushed nor amongst overhead noise.
Most of the food excellent - from the iced tea to the appetizer and salad and sandwich. My trout was a bit dry and more fishy tasting than desired but potatoes and asparagus with it well seasoned.
Overall, good experience.
Sunday brunch was a very fine occasion throughout. The choices on the menu fit our desires quite well. We sampled eacch other's choices. All were delicious. The service was superb, too.
good food, good service. Too loud and a little cramped where we were sitting.
Service was fantastic and the brunch was delicious. Family friendly and delightful, as always
It was my birthday and Clydes were very generous in giving me my dessert on the house - great service and is one of my favourite places to dine
We love the atmosphere and ambiance at Clyde’s Willow Creek. Our waiter was so thoughtful, kind and quite attentive to our needs. He was also friendly and that means a lot to my family and me. It meant so much this visit because we were celebrating a family member’s birthday. The food was delicious. We did have one request that was taken care of in an expedient way! Thank you for a wonderful dining experience away from home.
Fantastic! I’m from out of town and Clyde’s was suggested to me and they did not disappoint.
We had reservations for Easter Dinner, was really hoping for an Easter Buffet, but the menu was fine! Our entrees were very good and the desserts were equally wonderful! ( even though our waitress dropped my husband’s cupcake, she brought out another one)
I come to Clyde’s many time and particularly enjoy the ambiance and the great food. The menu includes a number of choices for vegetarians, which is a plus for my family. Great food...particularly the crab cakes and fish choices, such as the trout and seared Chesapeake rockfish. My granddaughter enjoyed the Burrata Ravioli along with the homemade crusty bread. The desserts are good as well. We shared a strawberry rhubarb pie and a traditional hot fudge sundae. Clydes is a fun place to eat because of the decor, which is unique with farm theme. Clydes at Willow Creek Farm is a comfortable family restaurant , and at the same time, a nice romantic place to bring a date. In the summer the outside seating is especially lovely with a pleasant view and away from the traffic noise.
Clyde's Willow Creek has been one of our favorite restaurants for special occasions for many years - at the top of our list for holidays and birthdays. However, we were very disappointed with our most recent dining experience on Easter Sunday. The ambiance was as wonderful as ever, but the menu has changed significantly and the food quality and presentation were a disappointment. The steak and eggs were served with steak that was so tough as to be barely edible and the brunch potatoes were overcooked and dried out. Gone were the yummy hot cross buns that were usually offered on Easter Sunday. Our waiter had to be reminded of requests for cream and coffee and seemed put out that we were making the additional requests. However, the reception staff were especially accommodating, which we greatly appreciated.
First time in a couple of years we visited this restaurant and found it to be very pleasant. Foos and Service was great.
Love the ambiance. Food was NOT good for our Easter Brunch. Disappointing
We always look forward to Easter Brunch. This year we chose Clyde's at Willow Creek. We had had a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner there last fall and we're looking forward to it. The Easter Brunch was the exact opposite. Ordinary menu, ordinary service, ordinary food. Very disappointed.
We went to Clyde's Willow Creek on Easter Sunday for brunch. They handled the crowds beautifully. We were seated right away. We started with salads and although we didn't ask for a "side salad size" salad, that's what we received and were charged for appropriately. The salads were good and fresh. I think I would have liked the regular size salad which is what I ordered. We both ordered veggie burgers done with different bread choices. The naan bread they normally serve with the veggie burger was over toasted and not a good choice for any burger. The veggie burger tasted good. The fruit on the side was fresh. We had dessert which for my husband was a carrot cake cupcake and for me mango sorbet. The mango sorbet was good and his cupcake was good. Although everything was good, it wasn't up to the standard we normally have experienced at Willow Creek. I still recommend this restaurant.
We were so happy to find a late reservation for Easter morning. We dined at 11:00am and it was busy but we were seated immediately. The food was good - easy menu to choose from. Only criticism was the French toast was overdone (obviously deep fried). Everything else was good solid Clyde's food.
This experience was on Easter Sunday; there were four of us.
At first, everything was fine. The place looked nice and we were seated in a nice location. The first sign of trouble was the menu. NO Easter menu, just the regular one. Next sign of trouble were the coffee cakes. Unlike what was served in the years we’ve been going every Easter, they were not served promptly and when they were served, they were half the size they used to be and plopped on an oval plate rather than in a basket. Taste-wise, they were dry-ish with a scar of crumbly topping.
We’re knew there was definitely trouble when we ate. The surface and subsurface of the two dishes of French Toasts were cardboard crisp on both sides and tasted like the boxing material. Quiche had a burnt taste and was sent back. The last dish, granola, — difficult to fail — got passing marks.
Service was tolerable but for the kind of ambience we had, it was unseemingly to leave packaging of the to-go tins to the diners. It left a bad taste along with the food.
Sadly, times have changed for this once sparkling Clyde’s outpost. Given our experience, we are changing too: We will not return to the tattered food and ho-hum service.
Easter Brunch was very well done. A great experience for the entire family.
We went for "Easter" brunch(same menu) today. We have been to Clyde's several times between Reston and Ashburn. I can't tell you how extremely disappointed in the Ashburn one I was today. We ordered an appetizer and our meals. Our appetizer came out and before we could start the appetizer our meals came out. This is so irritating in restaurants. I complained to the Manager his response was as if he did not care and made a joke about how efficient they were.
They could have cared less that a stress free brunch turned into an irritating situation.
It was great
We were visiting for a long weekend and this was recommend to us by a winery we visited. It was so good we came back for a second night. Between my wife and I, four of the best meals we have had in a long time. The service is top notch, bubbly, friendly and knowledgeable.
We had an enjoyable dinner on a busy Saturday evening. We ordered the rockfish and the trout. We liked the rockfish better. The service was excellent. We liked ren ambiance too and will definitely be back.
