Clyde's Willow Creek Farm Ratings and Reviews
Definitely a good spot for brunch. The menu covers a wide variety of tastes so it’s easy to find something that suits everyone. The drinks are tasty as well (maybe a little overpriced but beggars can’t be choosers). Our waiter forgot a couple minor requests (we asked for some limes for our water and one of the side orders came out incorrectly) but regardless, our meals were outstanding, and I highly recommend the steamed pork belly buns. Would gladly return again!
Clyde's Willow Creek delivered a great experience once again.
Were celebrating a quiet birthday celebration with my wife and could not have been happier.
Service was very good and nicely attentive.
We shared the Cuban pork egg roll appetizer and both thought it was sensational. Great blend of flavors but what set it apart from other Cuban pork renditions was the texture. The deep fried egg roll wrapping was a perfect foil for the flavorful treat. Highly recommend.
Also impressed with the shrimp scampi. The shrimp were plump and flavorful and the scampi was garlic-y delicious. The crostini was too crisp to be edible.
The crab cakes were typically delicious. Regardless of season, Clyde's makes an admirable crab cake. The shaved brussels sprout side was very tasty too.
As a surprise, the waitress/restaurant comped my wife's dessert. ALWAYS a nice touch. Thank you Clyde's for taking notice!
Wine list is extensive, well-presented, and extremely well priced. Our 1st choice wine pick was sold out (fair enough though since is was a rose and 4 days after Valentine's Day). Nonetheless, many other suitable selections were in supply.
Overall, thanks to Clyde's I could not have enjoyed a nicer night with my wife.
Very happy with our spur of the moment date night out. Dinner was amazing, as was my cocktail and dessert. Service was wonderful. Especially when we rushed our waiter at the end so we could get to a movie. Couldn’t have asked for a better meal and experience.
The service was fine, not great. The waitress chatted with a couple for a long time while the lady was nursing a baby under her garment. Even if we were not waiting, it seemed invasive. We waited to place drink orders, waited too long to order the main course, waited for return service, waited and waited. For a Saturday early evening and not slammed, the staff should be more experienced than this.
The desserts available were not in sync with the online menu and they are still not, with the excuse that pumpkin is not in season, yet Pumpkin Ravioli was available. Pumpkin is available all year round in a can now and the waitress was unpleasant about the situation, a bit rough around the edges, and unapologetic.
There are dividing walls that are only shoulder height, so there is little privacy in the center of the room. In addition, when a large person decides to place their elbow on the wall and not "share" the divider, the room is even less private, despite its excellent history and decor. Perhaps an additional partition above the low wood dividers would make the necessary improvement.
The manager was excellent and pleasant. He offered to comp beverages over the issues, which was more than generous. Overall, the food is well prepared, the rooms are historical making the restaurant more special than a typical chain, the hostess staff was friendly, but the table service still needs more polish.
This was not our first visit to Clyde's so we knew what to expect. However, we found it a bit lacking. First, our server was not attentive compared to the other servers we observed, and she did not bring the fresh bread she promised during our cocktails and salads. We finally declined it midway through our main course. We wre also disapointed with some aspects of the food: We fouund the 8 oz steak at $37 to be overpriced. And, the beef stroganoff, although tasty, only had 2 bites of beef in an otherwise hearty serving.
Clyde’s WCF has gone downhill in the past year. Younger, less experienced staff has less attention to detail and seems less interested in getting things right. It’s like they’re going through the motions, but don’t understand what they’re doing. At least one dish is always wrong and when corrected, they still sometimes get it wrong, although it’s usually less wrong than previously. The problems exist and front and back of house.
We used to eat there at least a couple times a month, now, it’s about once every two months and will probably keep getting less frequent.
Food was incredible! Brunch steak and eggs... amazing. The steak was perfectly-cooked, the potatoes were addictive and the eggs were delicious (not dry, not runny, but plenty of flavor). Salmon salad was delightful—dressing was right mix salty and sweet, the salmon was cooked perfectly, and the veggies were fresh and crunchy. Potato soup was good, too—just needed a touch of salt and pepper.
Slightly impatient wait-service at first.
Ambiance was great.
Bartender was knowledgeable. Hostesses very polite.
The food was good but the service was less than stellar. Had difficulty getting drink refills, getting attention for anything, even to get a dessert menu and the check. Others were seated next to us, well after us, got the same thing we did (burgers) and their food came out first. Other tables around us got bread and we didn't. We were there for celebration for our son and it turned out to be not as spectacular as we had hoped.
