The waitress was very patient. My husband takes some time trying to figure out what wine and dinner to order. My daughter had the acorn squash dish which was excellent. I had the beef spareribs which was so wonderful. I will definitely order it again. Finished it with a chocolate cupcake with peppermint icing. Just the right amount of dessert especially since no one else wanted anything for dessert. (Except they decided to each have a bite of my cupcake 😊). Very nice evening
Did not expect to be seated in the bar! I wanted a nice quiet birthday dinner not a noisy bar scene! The service was excellent though.
Wonderful atmosphere, service and food!
Wonderful holiday setting. Great service, never rushed.
We took our mom out for a birthday lunch and everyone enjoyed everything from the service to the food. We love coming to this location!
Beautifully decorated, great food, and service! The waiter was excellent.
Surprise party. Fabulous experience. So much fun that we made another reservation while we there.
We have been to several of the Clyde's restaurants, and from an atmosphere perspective, this is the best. I asked for a quiet spot and we were seated in a smaller, quiet dining room away from the big crowds and Friday night bar folks. Service was very good, although I didn't like being called "My girl" by the server. We asked for the meal to be drawn out (not quick) and it was, no pressure to leave in order to turn the table. Husband's filet mignon was excellent; my pasta dish (chicken garganelle) was good but not great. Wine prices are pretty reasonable for this type of restaurant. We would happily go back.
Clydes Willow creek farm has made somewhat of a turnaround the last few months. They've remodeled the Chandler barn (Chandelier?) -- and removed all the booth seating for large tables. I wish that they had some small tables in there instead of tables for 4 or more. It's such a beautiful space, seems a shame that only big parties get a chance to see it (see attached photo).
They're updated their menu a bit and it's for the better. We found the food great all the time. The difference being the new items we had were even better.
The waitstaff are so nice. The reception has always been a great group of people and we love to met them and chat. They are wonderful.
In all, highly recommended.
the property and setting is beautiful. The food is really just average.
It was a wonderful dining experience! Staff were friendly and provided excellent service, even the hostess was so gracious. Everyone at our table loved their meal. And very special treatment for our special occasion. We will be returning soon. Only wish we lived closer
My two friends and I went here on Sunday for brunch. One friend had the French toast and loved it. The other friend had a salad and the squash soup and since both dishes were perfectly clean, I presume she loved hers too. I had the Classic Benny and it was perfect! The Christmas decorations were gorgeous! Such a lovely restaurant and GREAT service.
Our favorite place but very disappointing this night. It was our anniversary which I indicated when I reserved and we told them when we arrived. They sat us next to an annoyingly loud and very distracting event of some sort with crying babies, unruly kids and even louder adults. I ordered a cocktail when we first sat down and it took forever to arrive and when it did it was wrong and our server didn't seem to care very much. When we ordered dinner we ordered wine as well which didn't arrive until we were finished eating. Overall a terrible evening with lousy service and even lousier ambiance.
I had the Cowboy Ribeye, it was tasty, tender, and cooked to perfection. My wife had the Parmigiana Crusted Trout, it was well cooked and delicious. I highly recommend the Crab Soup, delicious! And the service is excellent, more importantly we did not feel rushed.
Loved the stroganoffs
William was a wonderful sever! Such a great experience and food was delicious!
Had an after Thanksgiving family gathering to show off Clydes to an out of town guest and you made us proud! Always love to bring visitors because of the lovely setting close to our neighborhood but food was also a star. Great menu with lots of choices for all the group and outstanding cocktails to start the celebration. Keep up good work!
Had thanksgiving dinner with my mom and it was wonderful. Chill quiet atmosphere in a farm house setting. Loved the fire, and the leather chairs were comfortable. Staff was great and was quick. Thanksgiving dinner turkey meal was awesome and so were the sides and drinks. Gonna set up having Christmas dinner with family here as well. Loved it!
Our table was ready right on time, our server was polite and friendly, food was amazing
Food was great for thanksgiving. Service was awful. Slow service 45 min to get 1st drink over an hour and 10 min before we received our meal. Waitress had to be flagged down for service but was chatty with other tables.
Great Thanksgiving dinner .... large restaurant but cozy dining areas. Nice staff.
Great local restaurant- wonderful Thanksgiving meal!
We go here often and it is always good. However I was somewhat disappointed with the Thanksgiving meal. It just didn't meet expectations. But that won't stop us from returning.
Excellent Food and service!! Well done to everyone 😀 Happy Thanksgiving
Service was excellent and made our thanksgiving dinner very enjoyable
We planned for out Thanksgiving meal at Clyde's as we were flying out of Dulles later that day. Everything tasted delicious. Our favorite side was the sausage stuffing and the pecan pie. Wish we'd ordered an extra piece of pie...one of the best pecan pies we've had! The green beans were nice with still a bit of crisp to them. Mashed potatoes and gravy was tasty and the sweet potatoes were lightly glazed and quite good. Service was quick, atmosphere was pleasant. We eat here about once a month and have always enjoyed ourselves and the good food!
Food was far from exceptional. Server was anxious to move us out and rush us along. Kept wanting to clear dishes from the table before we were finished. Not the best Thanksgiving Day meal as we have enjoyed before in other restaurants.
We has a server named Cheryl - she was outstanding! great recommendations, excellent meals, quaint dining room with a warm fireplace - all in all a great evening thanks to Cheryl and Clyde's...
Nice place however I am disappointed that the amazing barn dining room has been turned into an events space since my last visit. I loved the feel of the barn dining room but alas, i guess profits dictate losing it.
Food was good. Waiter was unfamiliar with some ingredients on menu offering. Surprised as Clydes has in the past had through server training program. Drink: the variation of the moscow mule was watered down, and should have sent it back. Egg Benedict, or bennies as they want to say were good. homefries simple but good.
Lamb Stew was tonight’s winner. / Chili and Beef dip sandwich were less than advertised.
Atmosphere was magnificent- Staff were top notch
Perfect! Food was fantastic, perfect ambience. Knowledgeable and friendly wait staff and employees. Happy warm atmosphere.
Another great dinner at Clyde’s.
Stroganoff was delicious. Also ordered filet mignon, also great. Service was a bit off, but I tend to not judge the restaurant on one person's off night.
Would recommend getting the copper mugs for your mules.....
After being constant customers for years, we were so disappointed with the terrible service and unsatisfactory food that we doubt that we will bring guests to Clydes Ashburn again!
We had a luncheon date on 11 November seated in the Audubon room. After serving us drinks, we waited over 25 minutes...so long that I asked a staff member to get our waiter to come take our order, which didn't happen for another 10 minutes. After waiting well over 35 minutes, I complained to another waiter that we had waited long enough for our lunch...resulting in our lunch finally being served. We had told our waiter we wanted our eggs well done, only to have runny yolks served!
We were never asked if lunch was OK, to get coffee cup refilled I had to call another waiter. After finishing lunch for over another 30 minutes, we complained to the reception desk that we had waited long enough to pay our bill. Only then did our bill come. What should have been a pleasant luncheon was a disaster trying to host & entertain out of town guests
The ambiance was great however the service and food was not up to par. There were 6 in our party and 3 of us ordered the beef stroganoff. While the flavor was good, there was very little meat. It seemed like a bowl of noodles and mushroom. The waitress was barely around and several times we had to ask to have our drinks refilled.
We love this restaurant as they take special care to provide excellent gluten free options. Everything was wonderful for our anniversary dinner as usual!
Our waiter Jamey was fantastic. He did a great job with us and was just the right amount of attentive. The food was prepared wonderfully and in a timely fashion. I really enjoyed the ambiance and our brief escape from adulting. Everything we had to eat and drink was delicious!
We enjoyed our dinner at Clydes immensely. The combination of good drinks, food and the beautiful surroundings made for a lovely evening. The menu and food has really improved over the past few years and we're so happy to be able to depend on it. Can't wait to come back for more!
Not sure if was an off night but service was slow and sub-par.
