Mask Usage
We know it is no fun to wear a mask while enjoying a night out, but our staff's safety is no laughing matter.
We require all guests to wear a mask while moving about the restaurant, and when speaking to Clyde's employees.
Masks have been a hot topic, with passionate views on all sides. With our team and their families' health at stake, we must err on the side of caution. We hope you will understand and look forward to the day, hopefully soon, when we can all throw our masks in the trash.

Delicious place, great service and accommodation during the holiday. (Mother’s were offered a complimentary drink!) food was delicious and the strawberry shortcake is a must have. No complaints whatsoever.

Made reservation a week and a half advance all they could give me was a bar seat. Called me a day or two before to verify I asked if we could have a table they said that they would see what they could do. Showed up more than half the seats outside and in the restaurant we’re on occupied still got shoved at the bar.Waiter seemed like he didn’t want to be working food was overpriced and cold atmosphere was horrible in and out in about an hour and still over half the seats in the restaurant and outside on occupied. Been to this place many time that was my last visit never again. And oh by the way when you’re going to take somebody’s temperature it will probably be advisable to ask them instead of shoving the thermometer up there for head the guy almost got the thermometer slapped out of his hand.

Ordered Clyde's Breakfast ... I ordered the two eggs hard-fried. Instead, I received two poached eggs, which is about as far from hard-fried as I could imagine. Took another 10-15 minutes to get a replacement. Not a big deal, but surprising if you offer eggs "any style". Sigh. Food was good, not great. Relatively expensive, though.

We had a Mother's Day brunch reservation for 4 people, but upon our arrival, there were no tables set for 4 in the area of the restaurant we'd reserved. We had to move tables and chairs ourselves in order to create a space where 4 people could comfortably fit, which was extremely annoying.
Otherwise, the food was tasty (especially the coffee cake they gave us before our meal), the drinks were a great deal ($4 with brunch!), and the waitstaff was friendly. We had to wait a bit after our meal for anyone to offer us the check, but not terribly long.
The ambiance is cool - think a combination of an old school fancy diner + yacht club + regatta.
I will definitely be going back, but if making a reservation for a larger group I'll be calling ahead to make sure the table is actually available.

I've been a Clyde's customer since it opened, and before that, in Tyson's. I always enjoy the atmosphere and the food is delicious. The service on Saturday was exceptional. John was great.

A great reliable experience, every time!! Wish they would remodel the indoors and redo the seating (because I find the indoor seats less than comfortable, and always have) - but outdoor seating is amazing and the bar area is great! Food is excellent! Great cocktails!

Wonderful brunch on outside patio! Lemon ricotta pancakes were delicious. Others dining had trout and Reuben. All were very happy with food quality, flavor and presentation. Service was top notch - attentive to details, good timing and available, but not overbearing. Felt very safe as well.

The restaurant was well set up but they miss in a few places. Server took why too long for a coke and salt. The Sea Bass was very small portion with little flavor and somewhat dry.

Waiter, Jason, was great! Managers were idiots. Walked and 3 managers standing and having a personal conversation. Didn’t think to great us or help us in any way. I had to ask them to focus on the job and leave the personal talk for off duty hours. Manager later came by the table and started asking questions. We were all in the act of eating, chewy with food in our mouths and clearly unable to respond. The managers unprofessional behavior spoiled the evening for all of us. Maybe they should find a job where you don’t need customer services skills or even basic courtesy.

Service, as usual was extremely slow. They need to recognize when clients are at “work lunches” versus personal and serve faster when it is work, they would be way more profitable with a better management philosophy. Food was just eh and they were not busy. Great patio though and really close to the office.

Service, drinks, and food were extremely slow. The cocktails were good, but all but one of us gave up on a second round due to the bad service. The food was good, but eggs were over cooked and we had no chance to tell anyone.

We typically like Clydes, but this location has been continuously poor. Calamari was peppers garnished with calamari, crab cakes on Benedict were paper thin. We enjoy the outside seating and the service is always good. Clydes management needs to figure out why this location does not match other locations.

Nothing great about our experience. Food wasn’t hot when it came out. It was room temp/cold to touch. The server was very slow and stopped by our table twice in the over an hour we were seated for. Took 45 minutes to put in a food order. Very disappointed and probably will not return to the Reston location.

We have greatly enjoyed dining at Clydes over the years. We took friends there this week for dinner. We were shocked to discover we were expected to wear our face masks when a staff member approached our table. This was certainly not what we have found to be the case at other restaurants. It was difficult and inconvenient to do when conversing and dining with friends. This was just too much to ask. We won’t be back for a while.

The restaurant experience was good. Interaction with Open Table was poor. After showing up early for our reservation and enjoying a very nice meal, we received an email from Open Table advising that we had been a no show. Despite my attempts to present proof to the contrary, Open Table has, apparently, made no effort to correct their mistake. If you have any alternative means of booking a reservation other than through Open Table I would highly recommend doing so.

While the service and atmosphere was nice, the food was far from what I would have expected. Tasteless and lackluster. A lot of money paid for that type of food. We have dined at other Clyde owned restaurants and this was by far the most disappointing.

Our server Armando D. was excellent, he recommended cocktails for us, food choices when we wished to add to the meal. And brought a complimentary birthday dessert out for our friend that was celebrating his 84th birthday. It was a remarkable and excellent dining experience.

Great Service from the hostess to the Temp Check, to the Manager being knowledge as to which Clyde's is the oldest in the area. That was one of our trivia questions for the group.
