We did not have good service at the restaurant. I made a reservation and we were seated 15 min late. We didn’t know who our waiter was. We had to ask serveral times for a waiter. No one asked us if we wanted drinks. After being seated for 45 min we finally had a waiter come and take our order. We didn’t have napkins or utensils for half of our party. We ended up taking it from other tables after asking several times. One of the girls at our table asked the waiter if the clam chowder soup had bacon in it and he said no. For religious reasons we do not eat bacon. She ended up taking a bite and there was bacon. The manger came and apologized and she ended p getting a free meal which was nice. This was for our friends big milestone of Turing 40 years old and it wasn’t a good experience. We enjoyed the food but the service was not good at all. Disappointed.

despite the fact that reservations were available starting at 5pm, they did not have any tables cleaned when we were there before our reservation. We did not get seated until almost 5:30. Meanwhile, there was no rush to get a table ready for us to sit. However, we were offered free appetizers. Did not make up for the fact that we were late getting to our movie.

It has been years since I was at a Clyde's and I was pleasantly surprised just how much better than "good" the Reston restaurant was the other night. Sufficient variety in the menu and the wine list was quite reasonably priced...special points for having a Verdejo on the list, by the way.

The food was delicious but the wait for the food was an hour. We had an 1130 reservations and the table was not ready when we arrived. It took 2 hours from start to finish, which shouldn't happen for lunch. People around us were getting served before us even after arriving after us. Not a choice for a birthday luncheon, too long.

It was Valentine's Day so we expected to wait long for our table even though we made a reservation. We waited 30 minutes happily and patiently. It was clear the staff were working hard to get everyone seated. Once seated we ordered delicious food and drink (crab dip is amazing). It took probably 45 minutes for our entrees to come out because of a mix up but we did not even notice because we were having such a good time and were satisfied by our appetizer. Still, our waiter compted us our dessert. What a perfect Valentine's Day.

It's a chain restaurant, I believe we got what we payed for. It was a solid 2 star restaurant and I'm not going to return.

Reservation experience:
I had a reservation for 7:30PM and I reached at 7:25PM. I was only seated at 7:50PM. Given the prices at the restaurant, I understand why they didn't offer drinks while we waited, however I would have been a lot happier and a lot more likely to return had they offered us a complimentary drink while we waited to be seated. We spent 120$ for dinner, 2 drinks would have cost them a few dollars.

After being seated, the waiter didn't arrive for 5 minutes. He took the order and didn't get us bread for another 10 minutes. Our food came a few minutes after he brought us the bread. The waiter only came back to check on us when we called him. He didn't check on us at all. At the end, our bill had an item that we hadn't ordered. We had to get it fixed which delayed our stay by another 5 minutes.

The steak was good for the price. I ordered medium rare and it was mostly medium rare - the thickest part was a little rare. I don't mind rare meat, so it's ok. Also the steak was only 37$, so whatever.
My wife ordered bolognese pasta. It was a mess. The pasta was overcooked and the sauce and pasta kind of gelled together. Yuck. The service was terrible, we were hungry, and we had already waited for about an hour since we got to the restaurant, so we didn't return it.
The brownie sundae was delicious. The ice-cream to brownie ratio was perfect.

Valentines Day, so the crowd was pretty heavy. Reservation for 7:00, arrived at 6:55, waited about 20 minutes for our table. As always, the ambience was great, the food was delicious, and the wait staff was friendly and responsive. Because of the special occasion, there was a strolling violinist ambling through the restaurant playing romantic music. Considering the location, the atmosphere and the wonderful menu, the prices are actually quite reasonable. One of my favorites for dining with my wife.

Valentine's Day is probably not the best time to maximize the experience of dining at Clydes, one of my favorite restaurants. While the food was still excellent, the ambiance of a special occasion was disrupted by the additional tables the restaurant set up in every possible location, including where we were seated next to the foyer waiting area. There was no light on or above the table, so my wife had to use her cell phone flashlight to read the menu. The proximity to the door, as well as the guests waiting to be seated, distracted from the normally intimate experience I have always enjoyed at Clydes. I was also disappointed that there was not a special Valentine's Day prix fixe menu offered. The overall experience was still good but it didn't live up to my expectations for a memorable Valentine's dinner with my date.

My fiance and I went for an early Valentine's dinner, they had done a good job decorating for the holiday a day early. Service was great right off the bat as we were seated by a manager, Dimitri, who let us know about how Clyde's has been doing farm to table for years. Our server was Chris (nice wine presentation!) along with a trainee who worked well together. I had the catfish, my fiance the firebird sandwich which we both enjoyed. We left full and happy, thank you to the Clyde's of Reston team for making our night special!

In years past we were very pleased with the food selection and service. Our last visit failed to meet the food selection and taste. The sirloin steak ordered by my son and myself was absolutely the worst steak I have ever had in any restaurant. We paid $50 for two steaks that were stringy and tough. Pot roast would have been far better. The au gratin potatoes had no taste. To be fair the fish a chips were good as was the Italian dish. I really enjoyed the Brussel sprouts as well. Overall the restaurant needs to improve on the food selection and as far as the meat, they need to hire a new person to order the beef and/or preparers . They clearly do not know cuts of meat or how to prepare it.

Terrible waitress my son had a steak and ask if he can have the 3 sauces, she said that wasn’t possible.
She could it offer for an extra cost but didn’t and when she brought the bill, I notice it what a lot less money than what we had consumed and I told her that she had brought the wrong bill and her reply was “you could of gotten lucky” and I reply I was just being honest.

We bought the specialty drinks but they were overpriced and weak. The food wasn’t as good as I expected it to be for the price. The service was slow and the waiter wasn’t fast on refilling drinks.

Overall, good service and food. The salmon was served with a tomato sauce that was much better than expected. The place was busy, but the service was still prompt. Great location, right next to the skating rink.
