Clyde's of Reston
Clyde's at Reston Town Center has mahogany and leather, antique model planes, boats and equestrian artifacts. Outdoor dining next to the Pavilion April thru October. American-style saloon menu.
Great service, great food!
Noisy - had to raise voices to be heard, waiter forgot bread (never came), crab cakes and scallops were excellent, one meal came out with cold vegetables...
We enjoyed meeting friends here for a chance to chat about recent exploits, kids, grandkids, etc. On arrival (5:30) it was very quiet. As we were getting ready to leave (about 7 pm) crowd had arrived and noise was up a bit but still not bad. Service was good but our server was finishing a long day and was ready to go home, but no complaints. Food was excellent. We certainly will return and recommend!
Food was but the service not so great. Asked for an apple juice (small) and was charged $5. Too expensive and unfair.
Haven’t been to Clyde’s in about 5 years because I have never been too impressed with their food. Tried them again last weekend and food was very mediocre.
Great meal to celebrate our adult son's birthday and enjoy a glass of wine!
We had a 10 table of 10, but only 8 showed up. The waitress did not ask everyone their drink orders. Some of us just had water, and had to ask for other drinks.
It took a long time before our food came. Four at the table got their food at least 10 minutes before the rest of us, and one of the orders that was late was incorrect. The correct food order was served in a timely manner.
Amazing food, I had the chicken and waffles and totally recommend it. Also has a very nice Bellini!
Have been to Clyde’s in RTC many times. Have always been more than satisfied with meal.
Ordered my usual selection, salad with grilled chicken breast. The chicken breast was way over cooked and cold.
Appetizer, cocktails, and service were on par with regular experience.
Disappointed with entree.
Our server was friendly, accommodating, and funny. Food was great. Thanks!
Food and service was outstanding!
We found the food we ordered to be lackluster. The Reuben sandwich was too large and too dry. The sauerkraut on the sandwich was not cooked so it fell out on you as you ate. The spaghetti sauce was bitter, tasting like it was just heated up from a can, not really cooked. Service was good, and so was the creme brûlée.
I’ve loved Clyde’s for decades but this time our food just wasn’t on par. We had to send back two brunch plates for incorrect cooking and that was after waiting over 45 min for them! The staff tried to fix things but the kitchen wasn’t making it easy. What was even more confusing was the place appeared to be only about half full. I’ll hope my next Clyde’s visit goes better.
Food was totally covered in salt. Could hardly eat it
Relaxing and allowed to talk with our friends without interruptions. Food is consistently fresh and delicious
Beautiful dining room, relaxing ambiance and good food and service. Was my first visit and I'm glad I finally got to visit Clydes!
Great service. They were out of the “special” and I wasn’t crazy about my second choice, but other than that it was a good meal!
We were a group of five for lunch. Everyone was happy with their meal and our waiter was excellent.
Food and service are consistently great
Service, food, ambiance all superb!
Ordered a WONDERFUL seared scallop entree. Scallops on a bed of fresh peas and farrow with a light butter cream sauce. Outstanding. Service is always exceptional.
Been coming here for many years and always have a wonderful experience. The food is good and the waitstaff is excellent.
Good mood and good service!
Always love the experience at Clyde’s
Great St. Patrick's Day Dinner in refined setting complete with Pipers!! Great Fun!!
I have eaten at Clyde's countless times - mostly many years ago. The meals I split with my 24-year-old daughter on Saint Patrick's Day (2019) were the best two meals I have ever had there. They may even be the best meals we have ever had, anywhere. The corned beef and cabbage and shepherd's pie were both sublime. They were so good that we ordered one of each to go and just savored them at lunch and dinner over the past two days. I have never, in decades of eating out, done that. Kudos to you, Clyde's!
St. Patrick's Day Dinner -- YUM! Always look forward to having a delicious corned beef meal prepared at Clyde's. The bagpipers were strolling, table decorations were gorgeous, and the Clyde's Irish buttons were were our souvenirs. Our dinner was delicious. Too much to finish. Loved our server (Brittany).
The only thing worse than the food was the service. (Example: when it takes 37 minutes to get your check and make your payment, that's a huge problem!) I've been going to Clyde's for decades ... but tonight was the last time. Ever. I had the St Paddy's Day corned beef & cabbage -- Not good at all. Such a disappointment!! Slow service. Dirty utensils. There's just no reason to ever go back. I'm done.
Hillary was terrific. Love St. Paddy's Day at Clydes. Have buttons for every year dating back to 1974.
I’m so disappointed in what used to be a good standard for us. But this is the second time they have failed us. Not sure what has happened.
The food, our waitress, the ease of getting a reservation - everything was great.
Great food and our waitress was very good and professional. The kitchen was slow tonight, we waited an hour for our food, but y’all as great.
food was very good, ambiance was nice.
We enjoy Clyde’s. We’ve been twice so far, with each time getting a steak. First visit, we got the cheese board which was lovely with different cheeses and honey. The price was slightly high for the amount we received, but we would still recommend it. We both ordered rib eye steak. The steak comes with a choice of a side and a house made sauce. They are very willing to give you all three sauces if you ask the server kindly. I prefer the béarnaise and my husband prefers the salsa verde, which really tastes like a chimachurri. We got the brussel sprouts and creamed spinach; steak house favorites for us! The second visit we ordered steak again but shared. I got the onion rings - though we did not enjoy them at all. They are five thickly breaded, very large slices which are hard to eat and have no flavor. It was definitely disappointing and maybe I should’ve sent them back. Though our steaks were always grilled to perfect temperature and very tender!
Been coming here for over 25 years! Great place - so glad to have it here.
WE always take our out of town guests in particular to Clydes of Reston. It always exceeds expectations-- good food, good service-- fun atmosphere.
Service was very spotty. Took a long time to get a waitress and then a long time to follow up on bread, drinks etc. food was good but I have had better at other Clydes
I went to Clyde's in Reston in early March. Clyde's does some curious that I don't understand. It offers lobster on the menu only "seasonally," according to the server, as if Maine lobster is only available during certain times of the year. This isn't like grouse season in the old country. This is the 21st Century. Live lobster is available at many restaurants year round--if you have a tank, you have live lobster. Red Lobster is only the most obvious example.
We’ve been going to Clyde’s for years and always loved but today was the worst dining experience we’ve ever had. So sorry to say we won’t be going back.
Knowing that Reston Town Center is very busy on Saturday nights, I decided to make a reservation at Clydes for 7:30. We arrived at 7:30 and checked-in and were told our table would be ready shortly. It quickly became apparent that most of the people waiting for tables also had reservations. Fast forward to 30 minutes later and we still had not been seated. My husband finally spoke with the manager and we were seated immediately.
Once we were at our table, the waiter was rushed and it was obvious that he was just trying to keep his head above water. He promptly took our orders, but it took 40 minutes for our food to arrive. When it did, my scallops were rubbery and over cooked.
The whole experience left me feeling very annoyed. It was not the relaxing fun evening I had envisioned, and I got to pay for the pleasure.
