Clyde's of Reston
Clyde's at Reston Town Center has mahogany and leather, antique model planes, boats and equestrian artifacts. Outdoor dining next to the Pavilion April thru October. American-style saloon menu.
Always great and reliably great service ! Classic ambiance
I always enjoy the atmosphere at Clyde’s. I was happy with the food and cocktails. However, during this visit, the service was extremely slow and less than personable. Given that it was late and the restaurant was relatively empty, I would’ve expected more attentive service. I would go back again only because of past experience, not my most recent visit.
Always a consistent meal! Brunch is very good
Unfortunately service much slower than usual. Manager accommodated slow service with comp beverage... Food was scrumptious! Best deviled eggs anywhere! Pork chop was perfect, so was the duck with excellent root veggie selection. Parking a definite walk that seems longer in inclement weather . Clyde’s is still a solid choice . Price is fair and ambiance and booth seating is great.will be back.
Our friends from Cape Cod said the crab cakes they ordered were the best they've ever had!
We are three friends who live within an approx radius of 15 miles from one another, Oakton , Ashburn, and Centreville. Clyde's at Reston Town Center was the perfect meeting place for atmosphere, service, and food. Our server, Erica, was awesome, and the ambiance was perfect!
Thank you and keep it up!
I was disappointed. We asked for a quite table, which we got. However, we were in the service dead zone. The food was ok but lacked anything special. One member of our party was vegan and that is not something Clyde's is really set up to service.
Always can count on Clydes for good service and food. Happy now that I can make a reservation.
For the third time in a row our experience at this Clyde's was just OK. We arrived promptly at 5:30 for our reservation. We were told our table was being "cleaned off", yet the restaurant was probably only 15% full. We waited a little more than 5 min for our table (what's the point of an early reservation??). The server was a bit inattentive (he forgot my son's juice, my father in law had an empty bloody mary and he was never offered another, our water jug/glasses were empty for 10-15 min until we had to ask for a refill from another server). The food was alright, nothing stellar. My son's kid's meal in particular was just strange - they served pomegranate seeds as part of his side of fruit (what toddler eats seeds??) and his chicken fingers were burned to a crisp. Not sure when I'll learn to stop coming here.
It was fine. Not special but fine
We had a very nice New Year's Day brunch at Clyde's in Reston. From the 4 year old eating waffles from the kids menu and two of us ordering brunch entrees, to the "All-American eater" who ordered a cheeseburger and fries, we were all satisfied and pleased with our meals and service. Enjoyed the mimosas, too!
Met a friend there for lunch on New Years Eve. Staff was extremely friendly and attentive even though it was a busy afternoon.
Ok just ok I will not completely disregard it at this point but the wait was way to long. Way over booked
We were seated 45 minutes after our reservation time.
Made a reservation for four at 8:00 PM. Showed up at 7:55 and checked in at desk. We were informed that they were "running behind on reservations" and that it would be an additional 20 minutes. The lobby area was full. Returned after 20 minutes and were told it would be around 8:45 before we could be seated. This is unacceptable for an 8:00 reservation. I informed hostess of our displeasure and that we would be going elsewhere. We walked down the street to a different restaurant and were seated after 20 minutes without a reservation and five minutes before their estimate. In addition Clydes started texting me at 8:45 stating report to hostess table is ready (after I cancelled it in person after voicing our displeasure). I will NEVER go to Clydes of Reston again. This was pathetic customer service and clearly they do not understand the point of making reservations.
The meal and restaurant was great. We had to wait until almost 9 when our reservation was for 8pm. However, it was new years eve, so it is an extremely difficult night to serve individuals. Thank you for a great meal and keep up the good work.
Waited over an hour for our table, even with a reservation. And then got sass from the hostess when I pointed this out.
Long time fan and customer of the entire Clyde’s group. Never been disappointed.
Always a fun time and it doesn't matter what location. Great place.
The brunch menu was offered. We selected a meatloaf entree and fish and chips.
The fish and chips was adequate.
Themeatloaf entree was abominable; meat pasty with bad flavor and texture; sautéed greens undercooked and bland; whipped potatoes were offensive and awful tasting.
Waiter tried his best to help me doctor the swill with spices, peppers and made the event palatable and fun providing us with a tasty baguette and other small treats. He was superbly calm and professional. If he decides to make a career change, please let us know so we can follow him; we have followed sommeliers and chefs but this waiter merited our consideration.
We began dining at Clyde’s 50 years ago and were always pleased with the meals. But as a result of this miserable experience, we will never do so again.
Food was mediocre at best. It was not worth the money in my opinion. It was bland and nothing special. Our waiter, however, was great and very attentive.
I had some trouble finding the place initially, but that's a problem with Reston Town Center more than the restaurant. I had some difficulty finding menu options that would suit my strict diet--I had the choice of one of their salads, an egg-white omelette, and that was pretty much it. It was also pretty noisy, and there weren't even that many people seated around us. But overall, I did enjoy my meal with my friends, and would recommend it to others.
Service was super slow and terrible, been here min 50 times and this was the worst service ever!!!
The service was quick and pleasant and the food was delicious (:
The waiter seemed to be disconnected. He was not responsive in bringing anything until the third request (ice). He didn't come back to take our order until another waiter stepped in. Our little granddaughther didnt receive her pizza and they had to scurry around to do it after everyone else had been served. This was our family visiting from India and we were out for a nice family dinner which I believed Clydes would be able to provide. (over the course of years though, this is not the first time we have been disappointed with Clyde's but on this occasion, while it wasn't busy, it appeared that they were just getting by and were short staffed. We wont be back even though we live in the area. :(
Both food and service were excellent. The pace of service, accuracy of orders, and value were excellent. This was a Christmas eve family celebration and everyone in our group was satisfied.
It was our annual Christmas Eve feast and it was superb!!
They went above and beyond. Couldnt be happier. We were there for an 80th birthday. They made it extra special
Although the service was with a smile, we had to chase the waiter down for everything. We had asked for dessert to be served with a candle for the birthday girl, they told us no problem, and then just forgot about it, which was disappointing. The waiter totally got our order wrong, food presentation was--bland; no effort was put into making the food look appetising. And actually, it wasn't very good at all. The environment is pleasant, though. and again, the staff was polite and smiling.
A nice experience. The food was good. Love the location. Waiter seemed preoccupied. Still had a lovely evening.
Service was outstanding. Interacted with several employees and each was attentive and reacted to our needs with a very positive attitude. Food was good . Helpings a little on the small side for me.
Awesome Christmas celebration with our growing family. The service was excellent. The ambiance even better. The brunch/lunch was delicious.
Neighborhood gem since 1991. Terrific management and staff!
We enjoyed our luncheon very much! Our waitress, Caity, was so pleasant! Will be back soon!
Great atmosphere and great food. Waitress was helpful and accommodating. We come here every year around the holidays for a fun, delicious relaxed meal. Great place!
Swordfish below par, smothered in tomato sauce a la spaghetti
Noise made it impossible to hold a conversation
Geeat atmosphere and great venue for a celebration or special occasion. However I had the NY Strip and it was very tough. I returned it and got the filet which was much better.
Kind people and great food
Classic American dining at its best. Good food, good service, comfortable environment. I didn't notice the background noise, despite being hard of hearing an conversing with a soft-spoken 94-year-old. Great for lunch or dinner outdoors in the summer.
