Clyde's of Reston
Clyde's at Reston Town Center has mahogany and leather, antique model planes, boats and equestrian artifacts. Outdoor dining next to the Pavilion April thru October. American-style saloon menu.
Good mood and good service!
Always love the experience at Clyde’s
Great St. Patrick's Day Dinner in refined setting complete with Pipers!! Great Fun!!
I have eaten at Clyde's countless times - mostly many years ago. The meals I split with my 24-year-old daughter on Saint Patrick's Day (2019) were the best two meals I have ever had there. They may even be the best meals we have ever had, anywhere. The corned beef and cabbage and shepherd's pie were both sublime. They were so good that we ordered one of each to go and just savored them at lunch and dinner over the past two days. I have never, in decades of eating out, done that. Kudos to you, Clyde's!
St. Patrick's Day Dinner -- YUM! Always look forward to having a delicious corned beef meal prepared at Clyde's. The bagpipers were strolling, table decorations were gorgeous, and the Clyde's Irish buttons were were our souvenirs. Our dinner was delicious. Too much to finish. Loved our server (Brittany).
The only thing worse than the food was the service. (Example: when it takes 37 minutes to get your check and make your payment, that's a huge problem!) I've been going to Clyde's for decades ... but tonight was the last time. Ever. I had the St Paddy's Day corned beef & cabbage -- Not good at all. Such a disappointment!! Slow service. Dirty utensils. There's just no reason to ever go back. I'm done.
Hillary was terrific. Love St. Paddy's Day at Clydes. Have buttons for every year dating back to 1974.
The food, our waitress, the ease of getting a reservation - everything was great.
Great food and our waitress was very good and professional. The kitchen was slow tonight, we waited an hour for our food, but y’all as great.
food was very good, ambiance was nice.
We enjoy Clyde’s. We’ve been twice so far, with each time getting a steak. First visit, we got the cheese board which was lovely with different cheeses and honey. The price was slightly high for the amount we received, but we would still recommend it. We both ordered rib eye steak. The steak comes with a choice of a side and a house made sauce. They are very willing to give you all three sauces if you ask the server kindly. I prefer the béarnaise and my husband prefers the salsa verde, which really tastes like a chimachurri. We got the brussel sprouts and creamed spinach; steak house favorites for us! The second visit we ordered steak again but shared. I got the onion rings - though we did not enjoy them at all. They are five thickly breaded, very large slices which are hard to eat and have no flavor. It was definitely disappointing and maybe I should’ve sent them back. Though our steaks were always grilled to perfect temperature and very tender!
Been coming here for over 25 years! Great place - so glad to have it here.
WE always take our out of town guests in particular to Clydes of Reston. It always exceeds expectations-- good food, good service-- fun atmosphere.
Service was very spotty. Took a long time to get a waitress and then a long time to follow up on bread, drinks etc. food was good but I have had better at other Clydes
I went to Clyde's in Reston in early March. Clyde's does some curious that I don't understand. It offers lobster on the menu only "seasonally," according to the server, as if Maine lobster is only available during certain times of the year. This isn't like grouse season in the old country. This is the 21st Century. Live lobster is available at many restaurants year round--if you have a tank, you have live lobster. Red Lobster is only the most obvious example.
We’ve been going to Clyde’s for years and always loved but today was the worst dining experience we’ve ever had. So sorry to say we won’t be going back.
Knowing that Reston Town Center is very busy on Saturday nights, I decided to make a reservation at Clydes for 7:30. We arrived at 7:30 and checked-in and were told our table would be ready shortly. It quickly became apparent that most of the people waiting for tables also had reservations. Fast forward to 30 minutes later and we still had not been seated. My husband finally spoke with the manager and we were seated immediately.
Once we were at our table, the waiter was rushed and it was obvious that he was just trying to keep his head above water. He promptly took our orders, but it took 40 minutes for our food to arrive. When it did, my scallops were rubbery and over cooked.
The whole experience left me feeling very annoyed. It was not the relaxing fun evening I had envisioned, and I got to pay for the pleasure.
The food was delicious, but our appetizer arrived after our entree’s. The waiter or general manager should have given it to us gratis , yet they took it away. The restaurant was exceptionally busy ,so my husband and I thought the appetizer would be a little late and a little bread would stave off hunger . The waiter didn’t realize our appetizer wasn’t served. Again, food was delicious., staff was disorganized. Certainly not typical service for this established and respected restaurant group.
Very loud - salad was not good - waiter was great.
Always a nice place to grab dinner! A lot of ambience...nice for casual or fancy.
I've been to this Clyde's before and it was good. This time the food was fair. We ordered from the Brunch menu. We had to send back the Taco appetizer. The meat was dry, so was the soft taco shell. No questions asked and they brought us something else. All in, a fair meal. Hoping for better next time.
As usual. There for lunch and the services was prompt and attentive. Food was good and they were willing to modify orders. I enjoy going back.
My girlfriend and I celebrated my birthday @ Clyde's and the server took excellent care of us.
We shared the flatbread pizza with cauliflower and sundried tomatoes as an appetizer, the winter squash vegetable plate and two side dishes: mac and cheese and creamed spinach and chocolate chip bread pudding. Everything was delicious with wonderful service.
We had a great server, he was on top of everything. He was really good. My salad was awful. You used to make a really excellent steak salad, so I ordered it with salmon instead of steak. It was so bad I only ate the salmon. Thank you to management for discussing it with me and taking care if it, but go back to the old steak salad that was so excellent! We will be back and try again!
Great experience as this was my initial visit to Clyde's. Very positive from atmosphere to service to quality of food. Highly recommended!
Clyde's is one of my faves and did not disappoint. Food service and price were their usual excellent.
We had a great time, fun good, service good, lovely evening
Clydes has always been a local favorite. Everything was delicious and there were no complaints, however, the menu has become quick pricey. I felt there used to be a better selection of more reasonably priced options available. This is moved more into the special occasion category.
Great trout and s wonderful pork chop! Some booths a little tight . Have been going for years and will continue to frequent!
Empty water glasses. Worse yet for Clyde, empty wine and beer glasses. My party of 8 was completely underwhelmed despite low expectations. Food was meh but the service on a not-particularly-crowded night was horrible. Per the locals in my group - other locations fare much better. Avoid this one.
Always friendly, always consistent. Won’t change you life but will leave you rested and content.
It was a great time at Clyde’s, always!!
Our waitress gave recommendations. She was great had lots of energy, kept our glasses full. Our table was ready on time. The food was delicious.
This is a glorious place to comfortably spend a late lunch with a friend. It was after rush, so no one was hustling us out of our booth, the service was excellent as always, and the sound levels allowed us to talk without having to shout and hear without having to strain. Highly recommended!
Post valentine’s celebration awesomeness. Jonathan our server was great. Love the truffle mac n’ cheese with my 20 oz steak. Wife loved the seafood o mare. Thnx.
Took over 2 hours for dinner and dessert. Wasn’t that crowded so not sure why...
We had a great Valentines Day dinner. The food, service and ambience was terrific.
Food was amazing and our server (Carmen) was top notch. Definitely a return customer.
