Tyson Corner Clyde's has been a wonderful restaurant for a great many years. We couldn't miss out on dining there one more time before they closed their doors. There were a few hickups in our evening because of that. My dining partner asked for Wild Turkey and ginger ale but received something he couldn't name. He went back to the bar with it and complained and was told they had temporarily run out but found him some while he stood there. The restaurant had run out of all chicken so my first three menu choices were quickly crossed out. Despite these two things, the service was very good, the food was excellent, and the ambiance was what we like. When we told the maitre d' that we had often frequented the restaurant, he brought us over a very nice coffee table book about how Clyde's does business. I'd love to say I would recommend but, alas, they are no more. One will have to dine at any other Clyde's or Clyde's associated restaurants across DC and Maryland.
Since it was the last night they were open, they were running out of lots of food and drinks. But we managed to have a great meal, with some tasty cocktails, and say goodbye to a local landmark.
Went to be there the last night, We will miss this great place,. So many memories over the years.
Have been going since the night it opened.
It was the last night before the restaurant closed for good, to be torn down for redevelopment, and the service was a little chaotic. The food was as good as ever. Here's hoping that Clyde's opens a new Tysons Corner location soon.
Good Food and Awesome Service!
Last day February 4. The restaurant is being torn down to make room for new development. It was unique and will be missed.
This was my second time at this location. I remember having more menu choices and faste service the first time I was there. However, I should say that it was the last day the location was open for business due to development in the area. We were seated next to the fireplace and by a water fountain so we lucked out. My friends enjoyed the 3-egg omelette and I had the runner's breakfast. We were all happy with the choices except it seemed like it took about an hour from the time we were seated to the time we got our food. Anyway, we enjoyed the ambiance and the company. It is also very good for families!
After 30 years we had to have a last meal at Clydes Tysons. It was total bedlam and reminded me of the early days at Clydes. Hate to see them closing their doors and hope they will reopen in one of the new buildings. They will be missed!!!
Good Food and Great Service!
Nice place for a date, kids! Thank you for the great service and the delicious food . .
Waiter brought 3 waters for a table for 8 at the beginning, disappeared for 20 minutes. Forgot multiple drink order multiple times. The food orders were right, but very forgetful. I guess I can chalk it up to the server. It caring since the location was closing. Still VERY disappointed.
Good "last meal" at Clyde's Tysons this week; it closes Feb. 5 for demolition and redevelopment. We hope the décor will be saved and reused at a promised new location in a high-rise to be constructed by the Greensboro Metro Station. Sad that the original building will be no more...
Good food and service. Decor outdated, but drinks were good!
Every aspect of the service was awful. Waited 15 minutes for our drinks. At least 4 times the wrong order was brought to our table. Never received refills.
Disorganized. We told them three times we had a reservation through open table. They still came and ask us and another group how many were in our group and then who came in first. It took a long time for the waiter to get to our table, never brought us any water and when I asked him to please bring the kids good out first he just said "No, I'm sorry they all have to be grouped". The food arrived at our table after an hour of wait. It was extremely salty. Again we complained to the waiter he just said ok, turned around and left. My kids could not finish their food either we end up paying the $100 bill, left hungry and disappointed.
Best atmosphere out of all the Clydes I've gone to. The architecture, and aged decor really make you feel like stepping back in time. It is a great shame that it is closing in a matter of days.
We enjoyed our dinner and so did our friends. A fun evening!
Unfortunately this location is closing. My family had been meeting here for birthdays and celebratory dinners for the past 10 years as it was a halfway point between our homes. We'll miss it!
The service was horrible. Took our waitress almost 30 minutes to bring a few beers and wine. She never came to check on us once through the whole meal and then we had to ask another waiter to find her when we were ready to get the check.
The service was quick and gracious and the food was excellent! Never had a bad meal there. Would recommend to everyone! Please hurry and come back! Will miss you!
