We enjoyed dinner here on a Monday evening during our stay in Georgetown. My wife had the turkey rueben which she thought could use more thousand island but was otherwise fine and substantial. I had the steak salad that was done just right and tasty though I thought it could be amped up a bit. We'd definitely recommend Clyde's and would come back next time we're in town
Service was very slow.
Server Nick was very friendly and attentive. Outdoor seating was great.
Excellent service and food. Fun to sit outdoors...great people watching and fancy car sightings. Unique cocktails as well. We will definitely be back the next time we are in Georgetown.
Great roasted chicken. Hugely noisy.
Our server was excellent. My friend has dietary restrictions and she worked to accommodate. She gave us great recommendations on the menu and very attentive. Great experience!
menu was just fair, missed the crab cakes now they are off menu.
We really enjoyed this place, we had Matt as our server on 10/11. He was efficient, fun and energetic without being obnoxious The food was great, we had the mussels, fried fish sandwich and the fried chicken sandwich. The broth from the mussels were fantastic with the crusty bread. The fries were excellent and the pickles were awesome This was a great find on OpenTable, for a quick bite.
Reservation slot was not honored ended up waiting 40+minutes to sit and dine on a weekend. Staff is extremely slow and the service in general is poor
We loved where our table was placed, and our server was very attentive. My only complaint is that the dish that I ordered off the menu called crispy chicken rice bowl, turned out to be extremely spicy for me even though there was no indication it was a spicy dish, so I couldn’t really eat much of it. I think it would be a good idea to make some notation next to dishes that are spicy to warn people if they can't tolerate spicy food.
We came here for Sunday brunch. We were late for our reservation but they seated us right away in the back room which was very spacious, bright and airy. We were immediately greeted by our server, Matt, who took excellent care of us. He served us complimentary coffee cake which was a pleasant surprise, especially in Georgetown. The steak salad was amazing. The burger was a little bit over done but otherwise excellent. The price point here is just right.
Excellent service, great atmosphere and food was excellent! Can't wait to return.
An overall great experience. The food was delicious, the cocktails were great. I ordered a mimosa and they gave me two separate glasses for the champagne and OJ. I also have a gluten allergy and the waiter was exceptional when it came to the knowledge of accommodations needed. He was very helpful in making me feel that there wouldn’t be any cross contamination. Good atmosphere for a group, a must stop if you’re in DC.
Enjoyable Sunday brunch while visiting from out of town.
The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Although they were super crowded, they made space outside for our large group as soon as we expressed our concern for dining indoors.
Enjoyed our lunch in Georgetown. Perfect spot.
Service and food were great.
The server was nice but the food tasted so bad. It was very salty
Good food. Nice outdoor seating in the heart of Georgetown!
We were seated quickly, the food was great and provided in a timely manner. The staff was professional and made sure we had what we wanted and needed. No complaints at all.
Great ambience, good food. A bit pricy, but I guess that is to expect in Georgetown.
A dependable better-than-most Georgetown hot spot. Been going for 45 years on and off and still appreciate the service, food and ambiance.
Nicole had excellent suggestions, per usual, with the clams and pasta, as well as the sauvignon blanc. Delicious clams and sauce, and they paired well with the blanc.
Had the Maryland crab soup for an appetizer. Delicious as well.
Always fun- menu is wide enough to have choices that suit most everyone. Great that they validate parking after 6pm!
Our server took excellent care of us and made sure we had an excellent evening. The food and service was excellent. We took our time and didn’t feel rushed. Only our second time out since being vaccinated and we had a wonderful time. It was a memorable evening and we look forward to coming back!
Medium rare hamburger was more on the well-done side but I believe that U.S. health requirements mandate this?
The restaurant was not super busy today so the restaurant wasn’t particularly noisy. Service by Matthew was, as it has been the past times he has been my server, excellent. There were a few “chunks” of corned beef in my Reuben sandwich today that were a slight distraction, though everything tasted great. I enjoyed the splurge on the bread pudding for dessert.
Visiting from out of town
Everything was great! I would definitely come back.
The seating was too close to other guests. Given the ongoing pandemic and rise in COVID-19 cases, I would have felt more comfortable dining there had there been greater distance between tables. For that reason, I will not be dining there again for a very long time.
Solid. You know what to expect and that’s exactly what you get. Nice burgers and salads. Friendly staff that’s happy to accommodate special requests such as splitting and extra sides, etc. Jovial classic higher-end “bar” atmosphere.
Omg such great food!!
Party of 5 (age 18 to 73), eating @5:30, so not very crowded. Food was great. Service was excellent without hovering. Server even brought more water when we had finished eating but were still talking. Only issue was that wine I ordered was on menu but out of stock.
Friendly and competent service. Good selection of cocktails. Average type menu selections, nothing unique.
The three members of our party who had fish (haddock and salmon) really enjoyed their meal.
Bolognese sauce/ragu was too thin and rather bland. Menu needs more than two pasta options . Unless the shrimp is wild caught, having the other pasta option as garlic shrimp is a non starter.
The crab soup should be listed as being spicy, as coughing fit ensued after taking one spoonful.
Nik was on point, friendly, had great recommendations and we enjoyed his personality. First time here. We will return.
Our waiter was the best! The food was delicious. Will definitely go again.
Overall experience was not great. We came for dinner, food was mediocre and some tables are in high traffic areas making social distancing impossible. Our waitress was the best part of the experience. Would not return, there are so many other options in the area.
While the good was as good as expected, it was the service that was above and beyond. The highlight was the attention provided by Owen. Truly made the experience awesome.
