Clyde's of Georgetown
Clyde's doesn't joke around with its food. With hearty portions and great flavor, you can easily see how this is a fave among the DC eater crowd.
Service was a little slow for how late it was
Clyde's of Georgetown was fine. It was a busy Friday night -- the staff was stretched, the crab cake was delicious but portion was small. I would go there again without hesitation if someone wanted to see it; It's not a place I would make a habit.
The waitress was great. She was personable and not in a rush as you often see in DC. The food was good and fairly priced. Overall a good experience
Great restaurant. Good food. Good service. Good selection.
The ribeye steaks were overdone and chewy for 3 in a party of 6. Appetizers of CaLamari and Cauliflower were good. 3 main dishes were fine. Clyde’s has never been this bad. Not coming next Thanksgiving or for a while.
Excellent Thanksgiving dinner, rivaling the ones my mom used to make.
Turkey was tasty and moist, both white and dark meat. Dressing and potatoes were delicious. Some of the best sweet potatoes I've ever had. Gravy and cranberry sauce were great as well.
Will is an excellent bartender/server. Friendly, attentive, very knowledgable.
We always have a great time at Clyde's. Great food, service and ambiance. It has become our Thanksgiving tradition to go there rather than cook!
Server was excellent and attentive, Clyde’s was very busy though and the noise level was high due to large number of diners. Food as always was very good, although it was a lot, smaller portions would be nice.
Thanksgiving Dinner was great. This was the 2nd year we spent the holiday here!
Excellent Thanksgiving dinner.
Food was good, staff was awesome.
Nice ambiance, attentive service.
Typical American fare - nothing exceptional except the prices.
We really like this restaurant for business meetings or go out with friends. Food is always great and service excellent.
I’m familiar with Clyde’s restaurants and their menu. Overall this restaurant seemed promising until we were seated for Sunday brunch. Instead of using the comfortable front area they were cramming everyone in a space in the back so close that elbows were within other tables placed about three inches apart and against walls. The seating was so unnecessary crammed that we left. It’s embarrassing for them to even consider doing this to guests, and therefore I suggest that you go elsewhere, like we did. Georgetown and DC in general are restaurant rich. Absolutely no reason for an awkward and uncomfortable meal!
Too crowded. So-so food, tables too close together. Chair was broken.
The food was quite good. The service was horrible. Waitress was very poor. Not attentive and food arrived completely out of sync.
Very very noisy. Hard to hear anyone at our table. Very small table for 4 of us and right next to server stand. Not a good choice!
Always enjoy going to the Georgetown location. It is a little crowded, chaotic, but fun.
Our server Heyner was excellent!
Our waiter was great!! We go back at least once a year and love it!
They took a while to get to us eventhough it wasn't very crowded and then they forgot two thinks we had ordered. Ambiance was nice. Close to the arena where we were headed.
Clyde's of Georgetown never disappoints. Our waitress Mary Margaret was phenomenal! Actually all of the Clyde's are excellent! We have eaten at several of them, from The Old Ebbitt Grill to Clyde's at Willow Creek and have NEVER had anything but fabulous food and service!
Great time at Clyde’s. Service was super attentive. The food was excellent- crab cakes? Sliders and their salad was awesome. Would highly recommend!
Great food and service, as always.
Decor and food were great and our waitress (I’m sorry I didn’t catch her name- young, tall -about 5’7” blond hair on a braid) - we sat in the area with planes hanging from the ceiling- she was fantastic!!! So professional, knowledgeable and sweet. She made the dining experience really really great! Many thanks!!
As our family motto states "You can never go wrong with a member of they Clyde's family" . Loved it!! A must on every VA/DC trip.
Girls night out to celebrate promotions!! Amazing service, wine and food. The zucchini chips are must along with the crab tower. (Instagram worthy). Burger was great (got the Caesar salad as a side which was ok) and pork chops with sides were good although the potatoes were undercooked. For dessert we shared the pumpkin cheesecake which was good texture but I would have liked if sweeter. We were given the special ice cream as a sample, which was bourbon and amazing! Overall amazing meal and...they validate parking after 630 pm!
The only thing that kept me from giving 5 stars was our waiter - he was not attentive nor polite. Aside from that, the food was delicious and the atmosphere outstanding.
The food was not taste, he space between tables is too small, almost impossible to walk around. The atmosphere is good.
Excellent in every way food service location drinks ambiance friendliness
We always have a lovely time at Clyde's whether in Georgetown or Columbia. On a busy Saturday night we were quickly seated and had a great waitress Izzy. When we first arrived to our table, it was very warm and Izzy acknowledged that they were trying to resolve the issue and it quickly felt better. The entire meal including drinks and appetizer were delicious and Izzy did a great job making my husband's birthday meal a perfect celebration.
What a gem. Wonderful food, service & hospitality — with prices about half of what you’d expect. My father in law said, “best restaurant meal I’ve had in a long time.” Can’t wait to come back— often.
Great as usual & surprisingly not busy!
Great way to spend a rainy Sunday morning. Good variety of menu items leading to a pretty lovely spread on the table. Will definitely go again.
Great brunch and warm friendly atmosphere
Excellent food Service was fabulous. Cozy fun atmosphere. Couldn’t have found a better brunch place. Crab tower amazing. Pancakes super yummy. Croque Madame delicious. Not crazy about the coffee cake. Excellent.
The wait staff was so fantastic! The food is delicious and the vibe was great. Highly recommend.
