This was my first time back a this location in about 10 years. I won’t be going back. There were an inordinate amount of mosquitoes outside and some came inside. It was annoying to deal with. I ordered the Crab cakes and they were over cooked and flavorless. Need I mention, it was a warm day and they brought room temperature water to our table. No ice in the glasses either.

The seating hostess noticed that this was our wedding anniversary and she seated us in a very nice table in the atrium room. It took a bit of doing but she persisted. Many many thanks It’s nice when the circus matches the food. This particular Clyde’s is our favorite!

Overall negative experience. Waiter did not correctly take our order, burgers were not up to par for the price, slow service, surcharge fee is outrageous (don’t go if you are a large party)

WE made a reservation for the restaurant. When they tried to sit us in the bar, that was crowded with 24 year-olds, I asked for the restaurant. We were seated in a loud room in back between the kitchen and the bathroom. Strike 1 I ordered a martini, slightly dirty. Was came out was full of salty brine. I asked for additional vodka to thin it out but that never came. After ten minutes, I sent it back and asked for a vodka tonic with lemon - it came with lime. Very busy and loud. Fine for some - not for me.

Service not great. The waiter looked and acted like he didn't want to be there. I honestly didn't want to give 20% tip I would have given 18 or less % but the people I was with was watching me and I didn't want look rude. Food was very good, but a 2.5 hour dinner was a long time to me and could have been avoided with a little more attention from the waiter

One of my favourite spots, but today the Shrimp Pasta a La Genovaise had double pesto and half pine nuts. Disaster. Server didn’t enquire if there was a problem when late amount sent back. Server took an order for a second drink and completely forgot. When I reminded him he feigned shock that I wanted a second drink. The chicken wings were tasty though. And I think the server just needed more training.

Great service and food, per usual. I asked for us to be moved from our table in the center row, as the table to our east was very loud. We were quickly accommodated, which I greatly appreciated. I had the chicken, which is always excellent. My friend had the steak frites, which she loved. Very big compliment for her to like the steak frites, and she lives in Paris, and is married to a native Parisian.

Clyde's was always a go-to place for me. Not any more. Half of the space was humid and uncomfortably warm (where I sat with my guests). The other room (bar side) was chill and comfortable. Parmesan-crusted trout was really disappointing. Not the usual style of Clyde's. More like something from a fried-fish buffet. Too bad. Maybe just a bad night for Clyde's, but also my last night.

I think the food flavor and taste has gone downhill; not as flavorful. On a recent trip I had the Mexican corn appetizer and won't be getting it again compared to where I've had it at other restaurants. Just yesterday had a chicken salad bowl and the rice had no flavor.

A great Georgetown institution that has grown stingy with the food lately. Wings with barely any sauce, a half table spoon of hollandaise on the eggs Benedict, and a burger paddy buried under its bun. Not the old style foods I was used to seeing at Clyde’s. Still, the staff are great and the ambience has stayed as cheery as ever.
