Clyde's of Georgetown
Need to book at 11:30 PM?Other great restaurants with availability.
Our server Heyner was excellent!
Our waiter was great!! We go back at least once a year and love it!
They took a while to get to us eventhough it wasn't very crowded and then they forgot two thinks we had ordered. Ambiance was nice. Close to the arena where we were headed.
Clyde's of Georgetown never disappoints. Our waitress Mary Margaret was phenomenal! Actually all of the Clyde's are excellent! We have eaten at several of them, from The Old Ebbitt Grill to Clyde's at Willow Creek and have NEVER had anything but fabulous food and service!
Great time at Clyde’s. Service was super attentive. The food was excellent- crab cakes? Sliders and their salad was awesome. Would highly recommend!
Great food and service, as always.
Decor and food were great and our waitress (I’m sorry I didn’t catch her name- young, tall -about 5’7” blond hair on a braid) - we sat in the area with planes hanging from the ceiling- she was fantastic!!! So professional, knowledgeable and sweet. She made the dining experience really really great! Many thanks!!
As our family motto states "You can never go wrong with a member of they Clyde's family" . Loved it!! A must on every VA/DC trip.
Girls night out to celebrate promotions!! Amazing service, wine and food. The zucchini chips are must along with the crab tower. (Instagram worthy). Burger was great (got the Caesar salad as a side which was ok) and pork chops with sides were good although the potatoes were undercooked. For dessert we shared the pumpkin cheesecake which was good texture but I would have liked if sweeter. We were given the special ice cream as a sample, which was bourbon and amazing! Overall amazing meal and...they validate parking after 630 pm!
The only thing that kept me from giving 5 stars was our waiter - he was not attentive nor polite. Aside from that, the food was delicious and the atmosphere outstanding.
The food was not taste, he space between tables is too small, almost impossible to walk around. The atmosphere is good.
Excellent in every way food service location drinks ambiance friendliness
We always have a lovely time at Clyde's whether in Georgetown or Columbia. On a busy Saturday night we were quickly seated and had a great waitress Izzy. When we first arrived to our table, it was very warm and Izzy acknowledged that they were trying to resolve the issue and it quickly felt better. The entire meal including drinks and appetizer were delicious and Izzy did a great job making my husband's birthday meal a perfect celebration.
What a gem. Wonderful food, service & hospitality — with prices about half of what you’d expect. My father in law said, “best restaurant meal I’ve had in a long time.” Can’t wait to come back— often.
Great as usual & surprisingly not busy!
Great way to spend a rainy Sunday morning. Good variety of menu items leading to a pretty lovely spread on the table. Will definitely go again.
Great brunch and warm friendly atmosphere
Excellent food Service was fabulous. Cozy fun atmosphere. Couldn’t have found a better brunch place. Crab tower amazing. Pancakes super yummy. Croque Madame delicious. Not crazy about the coffee cake. Excellent.
The wait staff was so fantastic! The food is delicious and the vibe was great. Highly recommend.
Exceptional food. Well served. Lovely environment. Well worth the price
I’ve always loved this restaurant, picked it for a family birthday dinner. When we arrived there was a crowd at the door. Apparently the reservation person dropped the ball and most of the crowd had reservations but no tables were available. There were a few people on a wait list who just walked in. I heard one of these complain about the wait, and the poor nervous young lady at the hostess stand was flustered. About 25 min into our wait beyond the reservation time, this waitlist guy and his family were seated. I asked the nervous lady what gives? And her reply, “He threatened us if his family didn’t get seated.” He did look like a Soprano lackey, so I get it on one level, but...call the police, don’t do that to all those parties with reservations patiently waiting.
Of course we were seated next to this bully, literally within inches. The food was just ok, and our server did his best under slammed conditions. Didn’t even bother to stay to see if we’d have the birthday acknowledged...Clyde’s can do much, much better than this.
Maybe we’ve become too old and sophisticated, or perhaps they now cater to folks who prefer brand and location over ambiance and quality, but this was an unexpected dud of a meal. Inattentive service, overcooked seafood and a noise level that rivals a Midway Carnival, I cannot call this a good experience on any level but the tolerant guests we invited to join us. Too many other options in Georgetown to waste a repeat.
Went for the Lobster special and enjoyed the 1/2 price bottle of wine on a Sunday evening.
Great menu, excellent service and food. Kitchen was a bit slow this time.
Great for a special date and the place feels homey
Our server was awesome. He allowed us to take our time. We were having dinner before a show at Blues Alley and had lots of time to kill and he didn’t rush us at all. He was real cool. My husband and I often come to Clyde’s before going to a show at Blues Alley and our experience was just as good as any before. We’ll continue our dinner and a show tradition at Clyde’s.
Great burgers and crab cakes. Super service!
Everything was very good except the service. Our waiter was playing "rock. scissors. paper" with a colleague for several minutes while we waited for our drinks which we saw were prepared and waiting on the bar. I finally had to go over and interrupt his game to ask him to bring our drinks over. Would expect higher level of professionalism from servers especially in the middle of a fully seated Saturday afternoon crowd.
Clyde's is well laid-out, open and airy. We were seated a little early, which was great!, and greeted by our waitor promptly. The food was very good. The only problem was that it was so noisy! We struggled to hear each other talk during our meal, so we left sooner than we normally would have. It was a Saturday at lunchtime, so there's not much that could be done about that.
Usually Clyde’s is great but the last few times at the Georgetown location has been disappointing. Our waiter this time was slow and forgetful and sometimes borderline rude. The food was luke warm. The lobster special is a good value but it was barely warm. Bread was good after asking for it twice. I’ll go to Clyde’s again but not the Georgetown one for awhile. They seem really off their game.
Food, drinks and service were all great!!
Great evening and fabulous food!
We had a wonderful waiter. Thank you
Clydes is always reliable. The service was great and they were able to accommodate a picky eater in our group. Love the crab cakes!
Delivers exactly right. Food delicious. Service is friendly and helpful. A little noisy
The waiter was very snooty. The restaurant was very loud. The food was ok. I would not go back to Clydes.
The steak was really tough. Although we did not even want them to, the took it off the check. The waitress was good and everyone friendly.
Loved it! First time at Clyde’s but it won’t be our last.
Great mussels appetizer, great crab cake, nice place
