Clyde's of Georgetown
Definitely coming back! Great food, ambiance and attentive waiters.
We had a great dinner. Love Clyde’s food and friendly service.
Flounder was excellent! Really liked the service too!
Make sure you have a reservation as the restaurant is very popular. The food was well prepared. The service was well appointed. The Prosecco choice was delicious. The atmosphere was quite comfortable. We look forward to dining there again!
Service was very slow had to ask waitress several times
For another drink. Crab cake was no better than the frozen Phillips ones.
Our first and probably last time very disappointing.
Ehh... nothing special. The service was extremely slow, inattentive and the food was just ordinary. We waited almost 20 minutes for anyone to come to the table and offer water. The server never checked back after we got our food. We had to ask for the check so we could leave. Will not return.
We always get good food and good service at Clyde's
The food was great and the ambiance was charged.
Food was ordinary but ok. Good burger, not heavy. Waffle arrived very cold and not their strength. Rude waiter, awkward service.
Food & service was EXCELLENT ❗️ highly recommended this place! My girlfriend and myself had an amazing time!
Outstanding Crab Cream Soup. Crab cakes have more filler than expected but tasty.
Wonderful as usual!
Quality service good food and overall great experience will be coming back for my next special occasion
Amazing food and service and great atmosphere.
Great place that is located in the heart of Georgetown. Very good food and service.
Glad I booked as it was busy with a great vibe. Food was nice - and healthy! On business from UK and I find US food a little heavy on the carbs sometime. This was a nice break with salad followed by fish with veg. I’d definitely go again.
We had an incredible first time at Clyde’s. The service was fantastic and the food was delicious.
The food was good, but not great. Okay for a quick lunch, but not if one wants particularly flavorful food. The service was excellent, however.
Overall the experience was average. The servers were pretty good. The hostess let a party seat themselves, which would have been ok if their weren’t other party’s already there waiting. No apologies were given it was kind of ignored that the party just sat themselves.
The experience would have been a little above average if it weren’t for the restaurant allowing a woman and her dog to stay/eat in the restaurant. The patron walked through the entire (small and crowded) restaurant holding her dog. She proceeded to have a drink or two at the bar and ordered food to go. The restaurant (including the bar) was completely packed with about a 20 - 25 minute wait. The dog was not in a carrier or on a leash, she was just holding it in her lap as she sat at the bar.
This obviously raises concerns about cleanliness and allergies. It is also concerning that none of the staff seemed to think it was inappropriate to have a dog sitting at the bar with food and drinks readily passing by/through the area. Not to mention that even if you couldn’t or didn’t see the dog, you could definitely smell it.
If you're heading to Clyde's of Georgetown be sure to have your reservation handy. It's a bustling spot with classic wood decor. Myself and a friend sat in a booth by the end of the bar and had James as our server. Great service that was not overwhelming. It was a busy Friday night, so James let us know that our drinks would take a bit longer than expected (which they did), but the heads up was much appreciated. Nothing was rushed and they didn't push us out the door after we signed the receipt.
Thanks for a lovely evening, James!
Wonder-filled , comfort experience at a classic pub with food to enhance! Thank you Sophia, you made our experience so very special!
Loved Clyde’s at Georgetown!
Chef Cristobal’s cauliflower appetizer was on point - my husband who said he can eat this all the time! 😁
I ordered the beef stew and it was tasty and melt in your mouth goodness. The desserts were equally great as well!
Thank you for a wonderful dining experience!
Very patient server! Thanks!
Clyde's of Georgetown is my favorite DC bar-restaurant-pub. The fantastic crab cakes are their signature dish. Menus the same at other Clyde's but the ambience in GT is the best. Good house wines, an array of microbrews on tap and an amble menu that concentrates on a range of the most popular dishes, from shellfish to crabs and fish and meat and some very appetizing veg sides. Super, professional and friendly staff.
This restaurant had an awful smell. We were nauseated and it completely took away from the dining enjoyment. It was all we could do to get out as fast as we could. 🤢
Amazing pork chop! Our group of four had a wonderful experience in a short time frame. Great food, service and value.
Great meal. We were stuck in traffic and late and they still managed to find us a table.
We love Clyde's and just wish there was one at Tyson's. Normally I give them 5 stars, but on this evening, we were shoehorned into the back area. There was not even enough room to walk between the tables. The front area has all booths so that is better seating. I love the fireplace and that area could be much better with fewer tables or booths. Food was excellent. Miss the Trout.
We dined at Clyde’s on a Thursday night. The atmosphere was cozy, and the staff was extremely attentive. We were seated on time. Everything was delicious even down to the dessert. Parking in the mall below the restaurant is very expensive!
Our burgers, wings and salads were delicious. Server modified our order exactly as requested and was careful to confirm we had no food allergies.
Every time I come to Clyde’s I request Rayven as my server. She is extremely attentive and ensures that our orders comes out perfectly. The food is great, but it’s the service that keeps me coming back.
You should make reservations if you want a table for brunch. It got really crowded after 11 am.
Food was subpar. Service was great. Way overcrowded
I've eaten at various Clyde's for several decades. I generally find the food good to very good, the service very good and the noise moderate. The Georgetown location fit that description. It was fine for a dinner with friends.
We had a great meal before the show at the Kennedy Center. Took advantage of Restaurant Week specials.
Food was great, definitely one for the books!
It was just terribly crowded. But our server was excellent!
We were dining with a little girl and our server was wonderful. Everyone enjoyed their food. We had a great visit.
The service was good and quick. The food was good quality and we had a great time.
Food was great. Environment was great. Bloody Mary was a little weak. But i cannot get over the bugs I saw in the bathroom that shares a wall with the kitchen.
