Clyde's of Georgetown
Carryout - delivery & pickup
We know it is no fun to wear a mask while enjoying a night out, but our staff's safety is no laughing matter.
We require all guests to wear a mask while moving about the restaurant, and when speaking to Clyde's employees.
Masks have been a hot topic, with passionate views on all sides. With our team and their families' health at stake, we must err on the side of caution. We hope you will understand and look forward to the day, hopefully soon, when we can all throw our masks in the trash.

Great service from Ben, per usual.
Enjoyed the swordfish, very much enjoyed the sauce/accompaniment.
Had the cream of crap soup, was absolutely fantastic.
Looking forward to my next visit.
Great restaurant!!! Food was great and sevice was wonderful
Alex is an outstanding server.
We had a nice breakfast in Georgetown on our trip to DC.
We did have to wait for 15 minutes or so once we got there, even with a reservation, as their outside patio was full. They told me it would be upwards of 45 minutes and then I guess someone left early. That being said, I was offered a table immediately inside and apologies from the staff, so that was mainly due ot COVID and not Clyde's as a restaurant. Other than that, the food was excellent, the outdoor tables were adorable, the service was prompt and our waitress was wonderful.
Delicious cocktails and food in a very relaxing atmosphere.
Our server was exceptional! Her kindness, vivacity, and assistance was out of this world.
Food was good. Service and outside seating was very good.
Great spot! Thank you! Always enjoy eating here.
no comment should not require this. I will not fill out another survey if I need to complete this section
The Servers are outstanding, prompt, attentive, stellar! Food was blahhh...more important under cooked French toast!!
Well done. As comfortable and enjoyable as in other times with current restraints. Appropriate menu changes.
The outdoor seating was great, they put a special flooring in over street to keep it level and it made for a nicer Look. Pulled pork sandwich. Fried chicken sandwich were fantastic.
Great service. Attentive and friendly.
Great lobster special, to which I look forward every September. My buddy had the lobster, I had the pot pie. Both delicious. Great with the pinot grigio
Service was excellent, per usual.
great place for lunch! food and service are always great!
This was our morning stop ending our anniversary weekend. It was a very nice place. Food was great and the service was excellent.
Unfortunately, this wasn’t one of our better experiences at Clyde’s. Covid has become a good excuse for chaos.
3 people at front desk, 2 of them talking to a guest with no reservation while a 3rd one is just looking. We had a reservation and just stood there waiting for someone to talk with us. When the third person finally noticed us, she had a LOT of attitude.
We order sparkling water. Our salad arrived before our drinks and sparkling water. Finally we’re told they are out of sparkling water.
We order coffee with our dessert, waitress forgot. She was a very nice young lady but seemed a little unorganized. Restaurant was half empty so no excuses.
Finally, we requested parking validation (which is offered in website). They gave us a card and said “this should work”. It was obvious that they didn’t know how to validate the ticket per the building’s new system. So that was an extra $22.
We always tip well, especially nowadays, so that was a little irritating. The tip and parking totaled half of our food bill.
Food was good. Hope Clyde’s can get it together and return to the days when good service was expected and received.
Service was courteous and fast. Their calamari was delicious as always!!!
I arrived early and was seated at a nice table. I was served efficiently. The food was good, as expected and as always. The only negative was that the music was too loud. I had a very nice lunch experience.
Friendly,,Attentive yet not overbearing staff. Perfect food!!
This was our second visit in a week while on vacation and they were able to recreate the outstanding food and customer service. We had the turkey and the crabcake sandwiches on both visits and each time they were 'delectable', absolutely tasty. I love the fact they give you a nice little yet high-quality salad as a side and a crunchy dill pickle. An important part of the sandwiches is how they are very well prepared or built with care so as you devour them with two hands they do not fall apart. My wife said I became so quiet while eating, there must have been a problem but no, I was mesmerized by the flavor and want to go back again!
Great food and great service! I always enjoy Clyde’s and this visit definitely didn’t disappoint. Shoutout to our server Claire who is awesome!!
Too close to road. Parking validation ticket did not work
Arrived to meet a commandante of a hostess trying to maintain the line but then we were given an excellent waitress who was excellent and attentive to everything possible! They made our 24th anniversary lunch feel special. Our food was so tasty and fresh. The decor was fun and even the restrooms were clean and upper scale.
It was a great make shift outdoor seating option during covid. My salad was overdressed but the drinks were on point! Highly recommend!!! Thanks
Great spot for brunch, especially with the new street patio. We felt safe inside. Staff wearing masks and gloves and customers wearing masks when not eating or drinking. Key lime pie and espresso at end made the day! Even payment was contact free. Thank you!
We were seated at the first table near the bar and patrons there were obnoxiously loud just that conversation with my guests were difficult
Hostess was rude and disconnected. Tried to seat us in the back next to two tables each with screaming little children when there were plenty of tables in a separate room up front by the windows. Ridiculous.
Clydes is a classic. Glad they have been able to arrange outdoor seating.
Loved this restaurant, service was excellent. Food outstanding. Coming back soon.
I brought my wife and children to celebrate her birthday, and made a reservation in advance indicating we were celebrating. The seating, service and food was lackluster.
They stuck us in a corner, in the back next to the computer where they placed the orders. The building had a strange scent. I suppose indicated the age of the building, but with the renovations and prestigious history, I expected much better. Maybe, it had to do with where they stuck us for seating. The restaurant wasn’t even 30% capacity.
The food was barely edible. The children enjoyed their pizza, but the accompanying fries were too hard for them to munch on. My wife ordered the catch of the day which was Halibut. There was no identifiable seasoning, no salt or pepper. It was merely grilled, plated and presented on a leaf.
My rueben was tasteless as well and we all suffered from the stiff cold fries. The only thing that saved my wife’s fries was the sprinkling of Parmesan cheese that accompanied it, since she ordered truffle fries.
The server was disengaged and pretty much seemed interested in just ending her shift. Since, it looked like she spent much of her energy on her other two tables.
Oh, and there was no hint of a birthday mentioned.
We packed up and left as soon as the children had washed their hands.
Overall, it’s not what I expected from Clyde’s Georgetown. Their reputation did not precede them. We would have had a much more enjoyable time and food experience had we gone basically anywhere else. But, our favorites have been Del Fresco, Capital Grille, and Eddie Vs.
Lessoned learned on trying something new on a special occasion. The only upside was the Georgetown Cupcakes we picked up prior to arriving.
Love Clyde's, one of my favorite Georgetown spots!
Our server was amazing and truthful about the options on the menu and was extremely attentive to all needs and requests! WOULD 100% recommend this restaurant to anyone in the DMV area!!!!!
We loved our experience at Clydes. The food and drinks were amazing and we will definitely be back!
The food was really good.
Nothing more classic than lunch at Clyde's. Great options from burgers to fresh local seafood. Staff are always friendly and attentive. Good for families or a low key meal with friends.
Food is always good and the service was attentive and not overbearing. Very happy.
To our surprise, Clyde's Georgetown first day of opening since the Covid-19 lockdown came with a 50% off everything on the menu. It was the start to a fantastic evening. Their menu has been wisely and thoughtfully limited with enough to choose from.
We were celebrating the 23rd birthday of our son, and the experience lived up to the celebration in every way.
Rebecca was our server and she was outstanding. Helpful and knowledgeable giving us enough sizzle to go on and make our choice on the menu.
The food was delicious. For appetizers, we ordered the chicken wings and a portion of fried calamari. They were morish but we knew we had to leave room for entrees. We will be back for the appetizers for lunch and beer.
My wife had the Salmon and she polished the plate. My 23-year-old and I each had the steak Frittes with Parmesan and truffle fries. Delicious!!! Our youngest, who is 7, thoroughly enjoyed his burger off the kid's menu.
Well done Clyde's Georgetown. And thank you for the 50% special offer. It was very generous of you. We will be back.
