Clyde’s is an easy pick when you don’t know where else to go
This restaurant was great!! The food was great and the waiters were engaging and friendly.
Valentine’s Day
Great time
Asked for a quiet table and got one...thank you.
Food and service always reliable. We had a very loud toddler near us - a place as big as this might consider having a family section so business discussions need not be part of socializing the youngest of guests!
Superb value for money. The ambience makes it for the food quality and choice of drinks. Efficient service.
Service was slow but the food was great. If they are trying to save money by cutting back on servers, that is a poor way to do business. It was the evening of a Caps game, you know you will be busy.
Love Clyde's, especially before a Caps game. The atmosphere and professionalism of the staff is amazing. Great menu, the food came out quickly, unfortunately the drinks did not. Hockey fans pregaming likely led to this but we didn't mind. Highly recommend Clyde's of Gallery Place.
The only thing there was no whole lobsters on the menu, and that was bizarre for this restaurant to be as extravagant and upperclass fine dining. We looked online and there seemed to be false advertising on your pictures of your entrees show whole lobster and that's one of the main reasons for our visit to Clyde's.
The Food and Service was great and timely. We will be back.
Went after Georgetown Basketball game, a little crowded (due to Georgetown game ending and a Capitals game to start later that evening). But they were very efficient in honoring our reservations. Our server was professional and efficient. The food was delicious as usual.
Service and food were above average. Took a bit to get seated with reservation after Georgetown game. Overall, very satisfied with Clyde's.
The hostess was amazing. I didn’t get her name but Clyde’s was innodated with people after the Georgetown game let out and she managed herself and the restaurant beautifully with little help. We were seated quickly and efficiently.
Unusually slow service on a Sunday at 1 pm.
I dine at Clyde's fairly often and am always impressed with how friendly and fun the wait staff is.
We had reservations for 5:45 and did not receive water or bread until 6:30pm. This was after we requested the manager. We had tickets to the game at Capitol One Arena and were looking forward to a nice meal before the game. In addition, it was my husband's birthday. Very disappointed in the service.
Moved to the sandwich side. The hamburgers were a revelation. Very flavorful and a good size. I recommend. I'm back.
Jamil was very knowledgeable about the drinks speedy service can’t wait to come back
Go there before every Caps home game. Had a problem with the kitchen being backed up this time but the manager came over and comped our meal!!! Always great service - this was an exception but the manager made up for it and we still made it for puck drop.
Service very slow. Granddaughter’s French toast was burnt.
The service was shockingly bad. I’ve been going to Clyde’s restaurants for 30 years and have never experienced anything like this. The only thing worse was the attitude of the server. So out of character for Clyde’s...or maybe not.
Our server and food were great, but the kitchen had issues. My daughter ordered salad and banana bread as appetizers, and we both ordered entrees. Our server came back promptly to tell us the banana bread was out, so we ordered biscuits instead. Someone else then came out probably 10-15 minutes later to tell us the same thing, and we told them we’d reordered already. Then our entrees came out 10-15 minutes later, but no salad or biscuits until after we mentioned they were missing.
The restaurant was packed with the pre-game Caps crowd, so service was slow. Our meal took almost 90 minutes from order to check. Luckily, with a 10:30 reservation, there was no rush and we had a great time.
Clyde's remains a dependable spot. You want a good meal, you'll get it, and the atmosphere is lively. I encourage them to integrate additional offerings.
Great place to eat before a Wizards basket ball game!
Birthday Celebration & this place was just what needed-1st time visitors & we'll definitely be back. The food was absolutely delicious - steak w/ mushroom gravy on side, raw oysters, oysters rockafella, pork belly appetizer, desserts...awesome!! We sent the greens back (too crunchy) & got the creamed spinach-perfect. The Host Tariq was FABULOUS & so was our server Aisha (I know that's not spelled right). Thank you for a wonder Birthday Dinner out.
Clyde’s has such great food and an extremely unique ambiance in the restaurant. The food is reasonably priced and the service is fantastic!
Our table was ready and we were set easily. The waitress was super, the burger great!
Went on a night of a Caps Game was also a Friday very busy but everyone there made it very easy for us with my brother being in a wheel chair and also having my 1 year old son in a high chair. Would highly recommend
Perfect for what we use it for: A jolly and exciting place for a burger and a beer before (or after) a game. We are always so very impressed with the paintings, sculpyures and other wonderful artistic touches that this (and i imagime all) Clyde’s properties have as inspired by the near-genius of the late Richard McCooey.
Always appreciate the professionalism of Clyde’s waitstaff. At a recent lunch the server did a great job of handling “off menu” requests for two of my guests.
Always good food, quality service and positive atmosphere. Even on a hockey night, it was not terribly noisy.
Great place to eat before the game....our Wait Staff person "Ms. Tee" was awesome!!!!
We were told that there was no bread several times by our server and saw other tables getting bread and butter. Orders were incorrect for at least 2 people at our table. Extended waits due to errors in the orders.
Great Food, Great Service...absolutely love to bring visiting family to Clyde's!!
Enjoyed a good meal with a wonderful ambiance. May want to add more vegetarian options.
Great service! We were sat as soon as we arrived and food came out pretty quick. A table of 6 on a Saturday night also.
Aretha was an excellent hostess and server. She went out of her way to make sure our experience was pleasurable.
The food and service was outstanding. Our server was also. She was attentive to all of our needs
We came during extended restaurant week. There were six of us and all of the food was amazing!
