The concierge at the JW Marriott recommended. She is a terrible concierge. This is a terrible restaurant. From surly hostesses, to terrible drinks from the bar, to terrible food, what a disappointing experience.

We went for thanksgiving because they had a nice , reasonably priced thanksgiving meal as well as regular menu offerings.

I had a reservation at this restaurant for 6PM. When I arrived at 6:05 I was told there were three people ahead of me and I had to wait. When I objected the hostess immediately (and impassively) asked if I wanted to speak to the manager. I said yes. He stepped up and told me the same thing. I told him I had theater tickets at 7:30 and asked how long the wait would be. He refused to say. We were seated at 6:20. No apology, no offer of a drink or appetizer. Completely indifferent. It was quite obvious that this behavior was business as usual for them. I would never go there again.

Same old menu. Never any changes. If you eat there regularly, you will tire of the menu.

Very disorganized. Overwhelmed server disappeared for long stretches. Took an hour to get our food. Would not recommend to anyone going prior to an event at the arena.

We go to Clyde's fairly often. Food is good and fairly priced. In this visit, staff recognised we were in a hurry going to the Hockey game next door. The bread seamed unusually good. My wife loved the 1.5 lb Lobster and I enjoyed my sandwich noting the French Fries were noteworthy. I was at the suburban location two weeks ago and thought the calves liver was exceptional.

We were attending the Lady Gaga concert at Verizon Center and we chose to have a pre-show dinner at Clyde's. It was a lovely meal...great service and we were on our way in plenty of time.

Food, atmosphere and service were good. "Energetic" rating translate to extremely loud, detracting from the overall rating.

Barret was a awesome server! Great place to go before a concert next door. They play the artist that is performing at that venue on that night.

Food was good. Service was okay but it was too loud for us. We left as soon as we could and went somewhere else for dessert. Would not go back on Sat night it was painfully noisy. We couldn’t talk and enjoy the meal.

This is a great place to go before CAPS games as it is right next door to the Verizon center. Food is good and the price is moderate.

We really enjoyed the restaurant. Décor, service, and food excellent. We arrived just before a Washington Capitals game and it was very boisterous and loud that detracted some from our meal because of the noise.

I had unknowingly made a reservation for my brother who lives in TN and me for 7 pm on the night of a Janet Jackson concert. The place was packed and we had to wait 20 minuted for our table, but we got exactly what we wanted: a quiet table so we good catch up. The service was excellent and I loved my bratwurst. Given the crowds coming for dinner before the concert, I can't imagine how the staff could have done any better. I have never been disappointed at Clyde's.

The seafood is fresh and well seasoned, but not overly salty. They have a pretty good wine list and service was great.

We waited almost 30 mins for a waiter/waitress to come over to the table. This isn’t the first time with Clyde’s. I’m considering not going back anymore.

The service was he worst ever. It was son's 12th birthday and it was the worst experience I have had with Clyde's. We arrived at 6:05 and did not get to order food until after 7:10pm. Several tables were seated after our party and received food and cordial services in between appetizers and their meal. We were able to order appetizer but they came out almost 40 minutes after the order and were cold. The server was rude and used a lot of blaming for why the service was poor as opposed to taking responsibility for "dropping the ball". I have been a consumer of Clyde's for years. This experience was very disappointing and the absolute worst. My son only turns 12 once...thanks alot.

I am from out of town and this place was recommended to me by a local. It was a horrible experience and I will not be going again. The best service was at the bar. Our waiter ignored us. My lobster was chewy. I had an order of fries I had about 8 fries.

We had 5:45 reservation and were seated at 6:20. it then took another 10 minutes for the waitress to take our drink order. we ordered our whole meal. it arrived in this order: 15 minutes salad; 10 minutes later before dinner drink; 15 minutes later dinner; 10 minutes later dinner drink (soda). Clyde's D.C. location has been getting worse over the last two years and is now only worth while because it is next to the basketball game. they are packed because of the arena and clearly just don't care anymore.

Clyde's is great for good everyday dining. We use them on a regular basis for our dinner spot after a movie at the Regal Gallery Place theater. It's in the same building, they validate... it makes for a nice, easy, low-key evening.

We arrived early for our reservation. I let the host know we would appreciate getting seated early but would get drinks and wait. Close to our reservation time he came over and asked me to check in and said they had plenty of seats. I am unsure why we weren’t seated 35 minutes prior. Our waitress was slow. I am pregnant and cannot drink. We were never offered a water refill until we finally flagged her down. We only got sandwiches (which we very good) but took a very long time to prepare. We missed the first half of the game we were going to after dinner due to very slow service. Overall, we will likely not return.

All about location, location, location...best place in DC to gather before any game or event at the Arena. Wait staff is great and the menu is tailored to provide great fare in short time frame to allow dining, socializing and getting to the events on time. Disappointed in the DC Fried Chicken...

I went to Clyde's twice during the 3 days I spent in Washington DC with my kids ages 14 and 11 - something on the menu to please everyone. The food was very good - I had the Lump Crab Cake on the first evening and a Burger on the second occasion each time with a glass of Clyde's house cabernet wine. My son had sliders from the kids menu and my daughter had a burger on both occasions. The place is big but cozy, the staff are friendly and attentive, and the food is good. Don't let the down stairs sports bar deter you from going into the restaurant which is upstairs. Cozy wooded interior is perfect for Winter evenings.
