Beautiful rich dark wood. Several smaller rooms. Delicious food, attractively served.
We were originally sat in the circle room... because we asked to watch the football game. Mind you the bar in that area was closed... there was no one else in that room....a server didn't see us for 10 minutes until I asked the hostess to sit at the bar.... then we received service.
This was definitely worth the visit. Would recommend.
Very delicious food and great service! Even though pretty busy, everything went smoothly!
The atmosphere was very loud and boisterous, with the pre-hockey game crowd. It appeared as though they were short-staffed as I was left waiting quite a long time for service multiple times. Also, their draught beer selection was minimal for that type of establishment.
Great waitress. Good food.
Waitress seemed extremely tried even though it was only 6:00pm. She asked me and my guest to pass down our food or napkins so she didn't have to walk around the table. She definitely did not deserve the $40 tip.
The sunroom was beautiful - especially in the early evening. It was cool when it got dark outside and the lights came on. The muscle pot appetizer is a must! We had the steak salad, sword fish, and salmon. All were great. You can’t go wrong.
Quality of food, decor, and service have gone down post-pandemic. They are doing the best they can given challenges with staffing; however, I'd probably wouldn't return anytime soon. Clydes use to be my go-to spot in Chinatown for before concerts & movies as well as out of town guests. I need to find a new spot.
Great food, drinks and setting!
I think they are likely suffering from staffing shortages and just getting back up and running after lockdown. I enjoyed my meal very much and although there were minor glitches with the kitchen. I was happy to be out eating a meal at a restaurant.
Great service. Minimal wait. Food was excellent.
Had to ask for dessert menu three times. Entrees were brought to the wrong table and then reversed when brought to us.
It was our first time back in a while since we are season ticket holders and we always go there before a game! It was so nice to be back and Clyde's did not disappoint. Friendly service and great food! Will always be my go to when I'm going to the Capital One Arena.
An ok experience, had to ask for items and they bought just one
Food and service were great. The Cubano sandwich I ordered was delicious.
We were seated near a table w 4-6 ladies and it was too loud for normal conversation. Another party ended up requesting to be moved it was so loud. Our service was less than expected as well. He didn’t ck back frequently, didn’t offer to refill drinks. The floor manager went to every table but ours in the area we were in during our 1.5 hours there. I expected a higher level of service based I. The reviews and price point.
First time at Clydes - delicious food, excellent service, perfect ambience. Highly recommend.
Haven’t been to Clydes in awhile and we decided to go back. Everything was really subpar although our server was great. Nothing was really outstanding. I felt like I could been at an Applebee’s
Not all the food was hot and the Norwegian benedict was so salty I could only eat half and regretted eating that much. Clyde's Tower Oaks Lodge food is much better
Nice Gallery restaurant with upbeat music and friendly staff! Walking distance from Capital Arena.
Excellent food, service, atmosphere and a fun place too.
The service was very good, so was the food, and ambiance.
Staff rude , forgot salad dressing , by the time my wife received it everyone else was done. Took forever to get drinks
The food was excellent and the prices were very reasonable. Great setting and old world charm. We will definitely return during our next visit to DC.
I'm so glad I made the reservations at Clyde's! I love the chain. Course I would have been better had I been in Chevy Chase or Rockville... for selfish reasons, but it was great to see my childhood best friend and her family. Aretha was very attentive!
We came here after a pre season hockey game and it wasn’t packed. The food came quickly and was good, they handled gluten free very well, we had wings and a Cesar salad and steak frites all gluten free. The service was a little slow and I didn’t get a drink that I had ordered but it was overall a fun time and the food was good.
Waitress was awesome. Greetings assisted me in pinch without…thank you for great experience
Nice ambience, food was decent, service quick. Nice spot if you have tickets at the arena. Right next door.
Our waitress provided excellent service, the food was very good, and we didn't have to wait a long time for it. They seated us at a distance from other diners so that we felt safe from a health standpoint, and they require masks except when eating and drinking of course.
Calamari and salad were generous enough for 2 or more each. Swordfish steak was well prepared, firm, nicely seasoned, possibly a bit drier than needed. Fried chicken was crisp and moist.
However, I was very irritated by an apparent agreement among the server, chef, and food runners that swordfish can be farmed. I asked whether it was sourced sustainably, and the server told me "sustainably farmed." I asked her to verify that with the chef; she returned with the same answer. When the food runners brought it, I said "So this is the farmed swordfish." They said yes, "100% sustainably farmed." Language issues may have interfered, but I still do not think that swordfish can be farmed, and Clyde's needs to educate its help better.
My experience at Clyde's was great. It was a pretty slow Sunday night, but this just meant that we were able to be in a quiet corner and receive attentive service from our waitress.
Incredible! From the moment I made the reservation to us arriving, dining and leaving they were accommodating, understanding, appreciative and attentive! Moreover the food was exceptional!
Before Harry Styles Love on Tour!
No surprises. As usual my guest and I enjoyed a tasty and attractively-presented lunch, with attentive service and quiet ambiance.
Clydes is always our "go to spot" while in DC. It has always been a pleasure each time!
Clyde's of Gallery Place has become our restaurant of choice for Sunday lunch. We have always been very well cared for by everyone who works there, but of course, the people who we spend the most time with are the people who help us plan our meal and then deliver our lunch exactly the way we ask them to. One thing never varies for me, and that is oysters to start my meal. The oysters at Clyde's of Gallery Place are always fresh and well shucked, and the selection is good. If you need help in picking a type of oyster, their experts will be of great help to you. I think that customers pick a place where they feel comfortable, and my daughter and I have found ours.
Drinks were great but overpriced. Wings were super small. Crab and artichoke dip was good but 1/2 the bread was over cooked. Cubano was good but a little greasy.
Pretty cool all around. Very neat. 12/10. Would recommend to a friend and close family member
