Waitress needs some service acumen; she was polite and timely but seemed off
Food was good and is consistently good. The waiter was pleasant. We will be back.
though it was gamed day, the noise was not that high. we got seated immediately as we had a reservation.
understanding the urgency to get to the game @ arena, our order was quickly taken and the food along with drinks was outstanding.
The food was great but our service was lack luster. We saw our server when he took our order and dropped off our drinks but never again until after we finished our meals. So my husband was never able to get ketchup for his fries which was a minor inconvenience but we also never got refills on our drinks. We were also sat on a side of the restaurant on the second floor that looked like a green house and it was freezing. Our server said he would turn on the heaters but they weren’t. And it was so loud. Most of those in the restaurant were there for the Capitals game and it just happened to be the day we were in town. I highly recommend NOT GOING WHEN ANYTHING IS AT CAPITAL ONE ARENA. My husband and I also got a piece of cake to share but they split it in half which was okay but kinda weird as we were trying to share a cute moment for his birthday. Also in our reservation I was asked if it was for an occasion and it was my husbands birthday. So I thought he might get some type of acknowledgement but he did not. Again the food was great and worth the price but service and freezing cold greenhouse did not match.
Service and food were excellent! They got us in and out in a very timely fashion before our capitals game. Our server was excellent and attentive and the food was great!
Service was slow and the wait staff didn’t seem to care that you were sitting and waiting for 30 minutes until they could figure out who’s responsible for your table. Food came out wrong and In no particular order. Overall horrible experience
Great dinner before the game. The waiter didn’t mention the occasion (my birthday) and we were in a bit of a rush to get to the basketball game so it was overlooked… the food was good and came out promptly and was delicious.
This is a fun environment with beautiful surroundings. The food is very good and the prices are reasonable.
The food, ambience and service was amazing!! I’ll definitely be back for the oysters!!
We had a marvelous dinner. The decor is beautiful dark wood and we had a spacious booth. Friendly server was attentive and enthusiastic, and the manager checked on us to make sure al was good. Would highly recommend this location of Clyde’s.
A quality lunch destination in a convenient location.
Friend really enjoyed the tacos. Quite a filling dish. The restaurant was lively and the bar was busy on game night, signs that better times loom.
This was my first trip to Clyde's at Gallery Place in the past two years. The food and service were excellent. The downstairs dining room was cold enough to set into me and at least one of my dining partners. Unfortunately, COVID is showing its impact here more than at Clyde's in Chevy Chase where I have business lunches once or twice a month.
good food, and had a nice vibe, nice location and service
Great the bartender was amazing
Attentive service, good food, good experience
Someone in the back was having fun when we ate here. Midway through our meal, the music ramped up to "quite loud". About 15 minutes later, it was turned down to reasonable levels. My husband and I were very amused. It was almost to the level of not being able to hold a conversation, but not loud enough to complain. We learned some new music, for sure.
Excellent food and service, quick service, nice wait staff
Service is great as always. I love how the manager always checks on us when we are there. Perfect place before a Wizards game!
It was great
Great food, ambiance and service! Loved the cream brûlée and a good drink selection.
Went to Clydes right before a Caps game. Clydes was packed and I believe that this impacted our service and food. The service was incredibly slow, we would wait 20 minutes for our waitress. The food was delivered cold. At this point, we had no choice but to eat our cold meal before heading to the game.
I am sure that Clydes was overwhelmed, but the restaurant is well aware of the the expected game day crowd. They may also be dealing with a worker shortage, but they certainly didn't do anything to limit the number of guests so they are responsible for the service. It is also interesting that this Clydes location has significantly lower reviews than all other Clydes locations.
We will definitely try again on a game day simply because of the location, but I really wish they could do better.
Great meal! My friend had the filet and I had the rockfish. Both were excellent. First time I had the rockfish. Pinot noir and Sauvignon blanc complemented each dish. Very happy.
Had a great time. Service and food was great
We've been going to Clyde's for years this year was the first time where it didn't feel warm and inviting. It has a different feel from years past.
I have gone there often and will continue to go. The quality of the food and the service are consistently good.
Crazy busy before the Caps game, but we checked in early for our reservation and the food came out quickly. Waiter was great!
Great food and service!
Great service and meal
Service was sub par. Food was good. Location in Chinatown excellent.
Service was good. The food was just okay. The crab dip is probably the best item on the menu.
Front desk staff was HORRIBLE…!!! Didn’t realize this is a chain… no wonder the service was HORRIBLE
If you dine vs eat out… DO NOT GO HERE… If you don’t understand this statement… you should go here
service was great!
Clydes @ Gallery Place is a long time favorite, and for a small family post Christmas dinner out, it once again proved to be a winning combination of atmosphere, food quality and breadth of menu (those raw oysters and their sourcing are amazing!) and dedicated, courteous service.
Naturally, we'll be back again and again!
Holidays brought out the crowds. Quite full on a Sunday evening and festive. My nephew had the salmon and thought it was quite good. All in all a good meal.
This was our first visit to Clyde's and it was absolutely delicious!
Highlights: beautiful restaurant with gorgeous view. Great entrees and mix of drinks. Food comes out fast!
Cons: we waited 45 min to be seated after making a 3:00pm reservation. When we got sat at the table took another 10 min to be greeted and given water. Their desserts suckkkk! Do not get them. Cold cream brûlée and Cold brownie. Very disappointing.
Pasar solos por primera vez la nochebuena en Washington, la familia está en Argentina
My waiter was fabulous and the food was good. We weren't close to anyone either.
