Great place to get together in Penn Quarter before an event at the Capital One Arena.
Drinks were terrible… more simple syrup than bourbon in the worst old fashion I’ve ever had. Even the cosmo was icky sweet. Are we making drinks for college kids? Meatloaf was mediocre at best . Disappointing visit. Not the Clyde’s I once knew.
Took the wife and kids to dinner before the caps game - always a must. Great food, of course, but as for any game day/night, be patient as everyone and their mother are there at the restaurant so the service might be a bit slower than another night.
Compared to other times we’ve eaten here, this time service was very slow. Took 30 minutes from the time our order was placed to when it was delivered to our table. Not once did waitress drop by the table to explain slow service, to set how we were doing or ask if we wanted another drink.
My wife and I had a wonderful date night dinner. Everything was great. Bar area noisy and crowded but we were upstairs in a quite area. Looking forward to a return visit.
The food and service at Clyde's Gallery Place were good. The women's restroom did not have soap and the toilet paper dispensers were off of the wall. I told the hostess about the problem. She said that she was aware of the problem and had alerted the manager about it. Not having soap in the restroom was not comforting during COVID.
Beautiful restaurant. Delicious food. Friendly staff.
Not enough vegetarian options… I have eaten there many times they took off the cheese plate… Not a good idea
Fish tacos should not be made with swordfish
The service was horrible, the wings were terrible the Mumbo sauce is definitely good.. the crab cake was ok…everything took along time to Receive and had to keep asking for the same thing over and over… Never again
Delightful meal! Servers remained masked and attentive.
Had a lite brunch which was very good and generous. Wait staff was outstanding. My only issue is with the booth seats which are too deep for my 5’ frame. Waitress could not find a cushion to help me sit up straight. Otherwise very nice dining experience
Very friendly staff and the fish tacos were great.
Chicken rice bowl was good. Great service from richie rich amd the hostess stand.
The reservation was ready when we came. We were served fast and the drinks were first class. Food was great, especially the salads.
The service was good, but very slow. It took us an hour and a half to eat.
Service was great. The entire restaurant was hopping with Caps fans before the game. Good atmosphere
Checks all the boxes. Everything on the plate eaten. High praise for meatloaf.
The server was very accommodating and understood our particular needs (special diet, need to get to the theatre), which made the whole experience pleasant. I will say that someone at the greeters desk told my friend (who walks unsteadily and uses a cane) that she could walk up the stairs (probably 20 stairs or more) to reach the reservation desk. That bespoke a complete lack of attention. No one who uses a cane can tackle those stairs. There is an elevator, and she took that instead.
Overall, our experience was wonderful until my daughter got ill immediately after we left the restaurant. They would not allow us to re-enter to use the restroom to clean her up and when I requested napkins or something to help I was told “I will see what I can find” and then handed 4 tiny paper cocktail napkins. There was zero concern for my daughter (who likely got ill from the food as she was perfectly fine after). My daughter had to stand in the cold while my husband went to retrieve the car. I really felt Clyde’s could have been a bit more helpful. It was extremely upsetting and disappointing
Everyone in my group agreed Clyde’s was a fantastic place and the food was so delicious 😋
This atmosphere is beautiful!!! The menu has something for everyone. This is a great place to take kids. It is also a great place for date night. Don't expect it to be quiet. While I'm sure it can be on occasion, it is right next to the Capital One Arena. When there is a game, this place is packed. Reservations are definitely recommended!!
The food is always great!! The service usually is as well but this time it was a little subpar. We arrived about 10 mins late for our 5:30 PM (so before dinner rush) and our table wasn’t ready for our party. Once it was ready, apps came out quickly but entrees lagged. Also, they didn’t have any kids menus printed. Still great food just lacking a little of their usual luster in service.
We love Clyde’s, the perfect location for lunch when attending the DC Christmas market!
Service was outstanding. Our server was very attentive to our allergies and super patience and accommodating. It was great food as well.
Thanksgiving dinner, saved us cooking. Great set menu; lovely ambiance.
I found a broken toothpick in my salad and it wasn't taken off of the bill. Bathroom was disgusting.
Clydes is usually really good, this was disappointing.
Clydes' of Gallery Place has become a personal favorite for several years for Thanksgiving Dinner.
From the easy booking to ample space with a delicious menu, it's very comforting to witness other singles and families celebrating the holiday in the city.
A tried and true destination!
We make reservations every year for Thanksgiving and always have a great experience. This year was no different. Food and service were excellent. Will definitely keep the tradition going!
There was an easy access to the restaurant from the parking garage by using the elevator at the parking garage. The food was good and it was a nice touch for non-Thanksgiving Day items to be on the limited menu. We enjoyed the ambiance and our stay at Clyde's for Thanksgiving Day.
Very nice place for Thanksgiving. We ate at 3:30pm - missed the crowds and noise. Jasmine very good server.
We were a party of four for Thanksgiving dinner. We had the the turkey dish plus a burger. The turkey was tasty and the food plentiful. The service was also friendly and efficient.
Jasmine our server was great!!!!!!
Greeted and seated promptly
Food was of high quality and presentation mouthwatering
Would recommend highly
Great location and decor is awesome
The chef kindly blackened the salmon on the menu for us. Very good. Hummes appetizer was average. We did not know that the Caps were playing that evening. Glad we had reservations.
Our most recent visit to Clyde’s Gallery Place was great. The service was excellent. My husband liked his burger. I loved the butternut squash mushroom chicken pasta with sage and Madeira cream sauce. So unique and tasty!!!!
Very impressed with everything. Food was delicious and the service was great.
We always go to Clyde’s before an event at Capital One Arena. We were seated in a great area. Corinne was great. Menu was limited (they started with telling us all of the items we didn’t have). The shrimp cocktail wasn’t as good as usual, the shrimp was dry, it didn’t appear fresh, but it didn’t look or smell bad. Our meals were good.
My nephew said the steak was delicious. The bacon cheeseburger was great. My friends loved the meatloaf. Let's hope conditions allow us to dine and enjoy meals like these.
