Clyde's of Gallery Place
miso aoli, pickled cucumber, multigrain bun
thinly sliced roast beef, Swiss, roasted red onion, horseradish mayonnaise, ciabatta, warm beef jus
The staff at Clyde's of Gallery Place were amazing, especially in light of the chaos caused by the coronavirus. Each person had a smile and went out of their way to serve my very large family.
The music is too loud in the upper stairs dining areas.
Clyde's is always a perfect choice for lunch when we can actually get out of the office! The atmosphere is amazing, the service was exceptional and the food was delicious!
Our server was excellent, the food was very tasty and exceeded expectations, and the ambiance was truly wonderful. Clyde’s does not disappoint, ever!
Was perfect for a night in Washington DC after wandering around and before seeing a show.
Clyde’s is always reliable—good food, great service and lovely atmosphere. We made a reservation at the start of the Georgetown-Villanova game and we’re glad we did. It was packed and had a wait of 20 minutes but with the reservation we were seated immediately.
Very good food and delicious desserts. Great for our birthday celebration.
The service and food was excellent.
Everything was good except for the very annoying music that was piped in.
Good go to place. I love the ambience, service and food.
It was a very busy time for the restaurant pre Flyers v Caps hockey game and I'm glad I made a reservation! Plate presentation was meh, but the food was fine. Our server was cheerful and attentive.
Delicious food, great service. So convenient to the arena.
We will surely return!
great place for lunch/brunch/dinner/drinks---always consistent
The service is excellent. A big shoutout to Rachel who waited our table past Saturday. Eye-popping decor, the poached eggs and roast potatoes were lovely but the English muffin was soggy on arrival—probably from the boiling water dripping off the eggs when they were removed from the saucepan. The booths are comfortable, the atrium when open is bright and lovely.
We got there early but they were able to get us seated immediately. We had a nice brunch and thoroughly enjoyed the coffee cake bites provided. The Bloody Mary (regular) was delicious but the Maryland Bloody Mary had too much Old Bay on the rim (it overpowered the rest of the drink). But the food was great and the mimosas were perfect! We shall return...
Seevice and good was perfect..waitress was attentive and pleasant. Love the ambience; we were 2nd floor in booth in a small section that was not too noisy.,
Food was excellent and a diverse array was ordered at table. Seafood tower appetizer a must. Drinks tasty as well.
Once again Clyde’s continues to impress! Food was excellent and server has such positive energy and made the experience great!
Great food! Great service!
the group really enjoyed everything at this location, the waiter was excellent.
We had a good dinner but we had seven in our party and they placed us in a booth with a chair at the end making for a very tight fit and limited space on the table. The service was not attentive either as dishes could have been removed from the table far sooner than they were. We had to even ask for our check when our server was located.
The quality of food didn't live up to my expectation. The salmon was tasteless. The steak was burn on the outside and rare on the inside .
Great pLace for a meal before a Caps game next door. Always good food, although I wish that cream of crab soup was still on the menu. Tables a little tight making conversation a bit stilted. Neighbors seemed to openly comment on my food. Yuck! Nice server. Food came out well before I had finished my appetizer. Made me feel way too rushed.
Great happy hour 3-6 pm and good spot to be if you are going to an event at Capital One arena. Staff were courteous and quick service. Good happy hour selection. Pays to make a reservation, as it can get crowded.
Efficiently run, attentive wait staff, wonderful service. The food was very good and the chef was happy to make adjustments to my dish to accommodate my food allergies, even on a busy pregame night! Major shout out to Elvis, the best server I have had in a long, long time- attentive but not intrusive with great recommendations and the patience of a saint!
Stopped by for Happy Hour prior to the Wizards vs Bucks basketball game. This was my second time dining at Clyde’s and will not be my last. Truly enjoyed the festive environment, service and food.
Two couples, long- time friends, met for dinner after at Shakespeare Theatre. This was our first time at this Clyde’s location. We were pleasantly surprised by the ambiance and
fact that we heard no street noise. Truly a beautiful setting! A great meal! Impeccable service and great food. Very pleased by the menu variety,
Got brunch at 10am before the noon Capitals game. The restaurant was full and they seemed ready for all the fans. My food was bad; a sandwich on a stale roll and fruit obviously cut up the day before and tasting of whatever preservative they used. My daughter’s quiche was rewarmed (from yesterday?) but not warm enough. My husband’s and son’s food was delicious.
The portions, in light of the prices, were inadequate. Everything else was Excellent.
Long awaited date night with my wife of 15 years. I believe our server was Paris. She was extremely nice and informative when it came to helping us choose an item. We ordered wings, beef stew, and the district fried chicken. I have absolutely no complaints about the food other that I wish I had more. Hahaha! I can’t wait to go back and try a few other items on the menu.
Everything was great. Special shout out to the hostesses up front. I was running late and concerned about losing my execrations but after I called the second time to update them on my whereabouts I was told not to worry my reservation would not be cancelled. I was extremely grateful considering I came up from Fredericsburg VA with my Mom who is disabled and I did not want to find another location to have dinner. Thank you Ladies! Absolutely outstanding and professional service! I plan to visit again and will recommend the restaurant to others. I salute you!
Lovely, enjoyable dinner with the family. Everyone had a perfectly prepared meal, served in a timely fashion. Our server was attentive and swift.
We were seated right away. Service was awesome and prompt.
Joseph the host was very helpful. He is always a pleasure to work with. He goes the extra step to insure that everything goes well.
Consistently good, our go- to place near Capital One Arena. Good drinks, quality food in a variety of prices with a well trained staff
The service was just okay. We saw a lot of staff just standing around the hostess area talking. The restaurant was not super busy but that should not have affected the service we received, if anything it should have been more attentive. Several times I had to ask for refills. Not only that, the food we ordered was wrong, twice! When we finally received our meals, they were quite good. The decor was lovely as Clyde's is know for but the bathroom could use some attention. Overall a good experience but unless the attention to detail and the service gets better not sure I would be in a hurry to return. I would suggest this to a friend however since the food was quite tasty!
Crowded holiday but front desk was efficient. Sat our large party quickly. Waiter (an experienced older man) made sure the four children ordered first and served quickly. A very pleasant experience.
Clyde’s always has delicious food!
My boyfriend and I came here for a belated a Valentine’s Day lunch. We ordered the Light House during happy hour (everyday 3pm-6pm). It was delicious AND half-off!! ($164 to $82!!). I would highly recommend!
