We started our meal with a perfect gin and tonic. We both ordered the special lobster dinner that is running through November. It was excellent!! It tasted just like Maine lobster should taste...fresh and salty from the sea. It comes with great French fries and Cole slaw. For $18.99 you can’t beat it!

Our dinner with friends at Clyde's was outstanding, as usual. We used Open Table to get a reservation just when we wanted and were seated immediately. With a new menu from our last dinner there, I was tempted by the lobster shepherd's pie, which was superb, and full of lobster meat. My dinner companions chose all different menu items, from sandwiches to pasta to meatloaf, and all were very pleased. For appetizers, the cream of crab soup was outstanding, as was the chili. All in all, we were very pleased - and will be back.

I had not been to a Clyde's in years. Friends were in from Michigan and we were looking for a place to book a table for 11 after the Maryland game. I knew from experience that Clyde's is a good place for a group, so we booked. Service was great, food was wonderful, and the staff accommodating. We had a great time and shared a lot of memories.

Had the lobster special which was good. However, sitting along the windows is awkward since the tables are so close that you can't help but overhear the conversations of other diners.

We LOVE Clyde's! Cream of crab soup is always a favorite! The Lobster was yummy! The Chef there has a great reputation! Even the spinach was amazing! Great customer service, friendly staff! One of Columbia's BEST restaurants!

I enjoyed visiting a friend at Clyde's, and we were able to sit and talk for 3 hours without feeling pressured to leave. I was a bit disappointed in my meal considering the cost plus the price of a cup of tea. I have two food allergies and our server was very helpful and supportive.

Not as good as 5 years ago, but not bad. Unfortunately, two in our party got sandwiches with molded bread. This was dealt with immediately and good was comped

The food was fantastic and your server was great too! We dined on a Sunday afternoon and we ordered off the brunch menu, steak and eggs and a frittata. It was enough for a second small meal. We were able to take our time eating and not feel rushed.

We had a wait a little bit for our table, which was understandable for a Saturday evening. Our server, Steve, was friendly and kept coming to check on us. They were able to present a little surprise birthday dessert at the end of the meal.

Right when we walked in the hostess was very unfriendly, no welcome, no smile. When our reservation time came, out table wasn’t ready so we had to wait. When we got to the table our waitress had a very flat demeanor, again no smile. You could tell she didn’t want to be there. Out of our three meals, only one of them was good. The baked cod had no taste to it, very bland. The bison burger was terrible in that it had so many conflicting flavors. The meatloaf, however, was excellent. We ordered pumpkin creme brûlée which was cold. I was always told it was supposed to be at least warm. Overall, no one in our party felt like the experience was worth the $70 bill. I would not recommend this place to a friend.

Clyde's was great.... except for our snooty waitress. She acted annoyed that my girlfriends and I (who haven't seen each other in over a year) were talking and not looking at the menu. She was also visibly annoyed that 2 of us paid with a credit card and one with cash. She couldn't seem to understand the math even though we told her exactly what to charge to each card. At the end, she actually whipped out her iPhone calculator and was making sure we weren't ripping her off. She was awful.

One the great things about the Clyde's group of Restaurants is that they are all excellent, but the are all unique. It's fun to go to a new place (for me) that is special in its own right yet also familiar. Clyde's of Columbia is a terrific restaurant with great food and high caliber service. The menu included some creative specials. Best of all is the setting. We had a nice business lunch meeting and were seated at a great tables overlooking the lake. Great experience that exceeded expectations!

This was the worst experience that I have ever had in dining out. The waiter was awful, he was not attentive, said that he didn't remember the drink that I order, so I never received the drink.
The vegetables were unacceptable and he would not exchange them for something else. I had to ask for lemons twice and then when I brought some of these things to his attention, he got an attitude. Very disappointing experience. The manager came by to pick up the check and I shared my disappointment and she offered a dessert...
This is not a place a business that I would recommend to ANYONE.

Five of us dined at Clyde’s on a Sunday evening and had a very enjoyable time. It wasn’t as crowded as it is on Saturday evening when we normally go there but it was still pretty crowded. Our server, Noah, was very professional and personable. For appetizers two of us enjoyed the French onion soup, one had the cream of crab, and another had a Caesar salad - all were very good. Two people enjoyed burgers (this is actually one of the few places my husband orders a burger), two of us shared a Reuben sandwich, and one diner ordered the Bison burger. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals and dine at Clyde’s often.

We visit this Clyde's often and enjoy it. This past Friday was the opposite experience. Our son's mac and cheese had a long hair in it and the server seemed confused that we wanted it remade. It was but I'm not entirely sure it was remade with new food. I also ordered the fig and ham appetizer. They ran out of figs and replaced it with pears, cheese and the fig dressing alone. I'm not sure why I didn't get told they were out before giving me half of an appetizer and paying full price. Including paying for my son's dinner. The service was less than we expect - including having to ask for things multiple times including bread. I would have expected that a Manager would come to our table and absolutely take care of the low priced kids meal from our bill. Really disappointing given we drove a half hour from two different directions to meet as a family for an otherwise good meal and service you'd usually expect from Clyde's in Columbia

Have enjoyed Clyde's since it opened in Columbia. Generally food is good; some especially good, such as crab cakes. Unfortunately it is still a very noisey venue and sometimes difficult to have a decent conversation. Location is very good with view of lake.

Not worth the money

We were celebrating my birthday but it was a very noisy atmosphere because of the number of children dining. Like other reviewers have said the service was slow but the waitress was great. It took about 20-25 minutes to get our beverages. My crab cakes were good, and my husband said the New York strip was delicious. For dessert, I ordered bread pudding, and they gave it to me with a lit candle. I thought it was free, but it was on the bill. I would only return for lunch.

The bacon dippers were pretty good.. They should use a thicker slice bacon tho and make the serving 4 strips instead of 3 if you're charging 8.00. 😉😊

When we arrived they closed the patio because of "bees" but the next door French restaurant was open outdoors with no apparent problem.

The coffee orders took a long time to bring out, no bread was offered without asking for it. Eggs Benedict was very underwhelming-very dry, the poached egg was over cooked, the hollandaise was dried, it tasted like an eggs Benny I'd get on a cruise ship that's mass produced. Surprised at the overall lack of quality experience. I will not go back.

Server got our order wrong. Didn’t take off a drink that we sent back, instead he didn’t charge of us for a different drink claiming they were the same price when they were not, the previous drink was more expensive . And we found a hair in our food. Nice venue and location horrible service.

The food was great. The service, not so much. We were there for a birthday. We waited forever for our drinks. When our food finally came, the waiter passed a plate to a young child. The person at our table who touched the plate to pass it was burned. Her hand blistered. The manager came over and took down details (for the lawyer I guess). We expected that they would at least take the kid's entree that had burned her hand off the bill. But, no. Very disappointing.
