We had a great time. Great service, great food, great price!
The ambiance was very nice ! I ordered clydes Cabernet wine which was very smooth . I also order the steak frites which was OK. I have had better steak for the same price other places. The service was good though.
Service was great, however, food was just okay on this visit. My Fish & Chips were not fully cooked and came with soft uncooked batter. The chips were fine.
As for the balance of the food, I believe all was okay and satisfactory. It’s been a while since I’ve visited this Clyde’s; I found the service friendly and attentive and because of this, I will give it another try down the road.
Request an intimate table on the reservation. The accommodation was perfection.
Thank you Clyde’s
Had an amazing meal like always!
Had a reservation and were seated quickly. Food and drinks were very good. Attentive service
Everything was delicious! Staff were all very very kind.
Great food and service. I don’t care for the tight, too close seating to people beside you.
We really enjoyed our New Year's Eve dinner at Clyde's!
We had a great time. Our waiter was excellent. We were not rushed at all. Food was good. Fairly priced.
It was nice that there wasn’t a fixed menu on New Year’s Eve. The evening could not have been better.
Brunch was great! The steak and eggs are my favorite and the coffee cake is wonderful. We dine here 2-3 times a month. Never disappointed and the value for our dollar is great! Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a nice place to eat with a view of the lake!
Excellent service. Fillet was done perfectly.
The setting was exactly what we wanted.
Parking was far from the entrance so there was no easy way to get disabled guests to the front door.
We always enjoy Clydes, but hate the side by side seating. The table next to us was loud, annoying, and basically in our laps. I hate to see hats worn at a table, and that was my view all dinner. The food is solid and well priced. The gnocchi appetizer would make an odd appetizer, but made a great small entree. We continue to go back, and just cross our fingers we don’t get the awful side by side seating.
Met friends for dinner. I arrived during happy hour. While waiting, I ordered calamari and pear sangria. Bothe were delightful. Was surprised the sangria was not on a happy hour special.
For dinner, I had a Caesar salad with salmon. It was very good. I asked for extra lettuce and it made it just the right portion for me.
The service was generally good. Ambiance was nice. Will return soon.
Superb service and very reliable menu. The scallops and crab cakes are so good. Looking forward to dining here again on New Year's Eve!
Clyde’s has been one of my favorite places to eat for 20+ years
Christmas Eve dinner for three 2019. My daughter had pan-seared sea scallops and she said they were very good. My wife had shrimp linguine that was prepared very spicy. The waiter had the dish remade and it was good. My 8 oz hanger steak was burned on the outside, but the center was the way I like it medium. The service was excellent and the Wild Lake Choir caroling at tables was nice.
Christmas Eve
Christmas Eve Dinner
Excellent Christmas Eve dinner with family
Beautiful lakefront view from a comfortable booth. Holiday decor was lovely. Service attentive without rushing us. Food was very tasty especially the warm Fudge Brownie. Only deficit was the lukewarm crab cake.
I thought the prices were very reasonable, and the food was excellent.
Ask for a quite table but was put by a large family in front of the bar!!!
The food was good, our waiter was amazing but the hostess was terrible! She was rude and argumentative all because we requested a booth...she was very unprofessional.
Always a great meal in a great location.
I went to Clyde's for the first time to celebrate my birthday, the food and the service were outstanding. I will definitely be back!
We had a birthday dinner in my honor with our daughter, son-in-law and 2 grandchildren. We were seated in the rear of the restaurant at a booth for 6. It was perfect because it was quiet so we could all engage in conversation. The Carolers that came to our table several times added to the ambience. We all were impressed with the children's menu that actually offered fish ( that wasn't fried) as an entree. Delightful meal as always!!!
We love Clydes. We’ve lived in Columbia since 1973 and it has been consistently the go to restaurant for us. This time, our server was not very efficient. Didn’t place drink order until 20 minutes after being seated and he just seemed to be confused and like he didn’t receive proper training. Nice yes but not like the typical Clydes waiters who are usually on the ball.
We were in bar so of course it was loud. To be expected. Food was good.
Very busy. Even taking that into account, service was very slow. We skipped dessert because it took so long for the waitress to come back to take our order that we had no idea how long it take to get the dessert once ordered. The waitress was nice but the service was slow. We go to Clyde's all the time. This was the exception to normal service.
For a Sunday night of no particular importance, there was no excuse for the poor service at Clydes, which we have visited numerous times in the past with far better results. Our reservation was for 6:15 but we didn't get seated until about 6:45. The wait staff was harried and slow and the food was a long time coming. Not bad quality appetizers and main courses for dinner but the menu was not extensive. Also it was quite loud making conversation difficult. Crab cakes were heavy on filler and light on backfin. Not going back anytime soon.
I have been going to Clydes for over 35 years and always enjoy it. I preferred the old menu, though. New items are ok but selection is more limited. I see that they are trying to appeal to people with food issues; allergies, etc.
Awesome. Emma was great...first time at this location. We will be back!! Crab cake was delicious!
Clyde's is always excellent. I've been to several of their locations but this was my first time at Clyde's of Columbia and it did not disappoint. Food was excellent and service was great even though it was the middle of Sunday Brunch and they had a Breakfast with Santa event. Santa and Ms. Clause were wonderful, and Clyde's did a great job managing that event.
Made an advance reservation for a party of 10 for brunch on a Saturday. I requested a window table.
Was very pleased to see that they had reserved a great long table by the front windows overlooking the lake. Our server was friendly, attentive, and all our food orders came out as requested.
Santa and Mrs Claus came around the tables with gingerbread cookies to greet everyone. They also had tables go up one at a time to get photos with Santa. Great for groups and kids.
Excellent food and service!
We met friends from D.C. for dinner. From food to the service, everything was outstanding! We arrived and were sat immediately. All of our meals were absolutely delicious. We will definitely be back!!
We had the beef stew and the swordfish with gigante beans, both were excellent. We enjoyed the ambience (as always) and the service was good even on a busy Friday night holiday season.
Had a great meal and catch up with friends at Clyde’s of Columbia! I enjoyed the best burger I have had in years and everything came out of the kitchen as requested. Our server was the perfect degree of attentive, always there when needed, but never overbearing.
