Food came very quickly and was adequate. Menus optioned leave something to desire.
Great service here - appreciate the outdoor space
Except for the appetizer of brussel sprouts that was delivered AFTER the dinner entrees were delivered, food was fine. They blamed it on the computer- annoying. Filled up on bread since we were hungry and needed something to eat with the wine. Should have comp’d
Clyde’s is a go-to place for outdoor eating. The menu is good and the atmosphere is great for a casual meal with friends
Just a small celebration for a friend finishing chemo.
The sever was nice but seems new. There was a mistake on the drinks and it took awhile before they even arrived. Then we were charged for the drink we didn’t order Coffee took forever also. I know it is hard to get help these days but please do some training!
enjoyed our dinner.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Very poor abbreviated menu and very poor service. It was a big disappointment
Service was slow, but our waitstaff was very friendly and professional. My complimentary brownie sundae for my birthday was a nice touch.
Ww came for the usual Maine lobster formula in the fall. Unfortunately, it was not available due to Covid. Nonetheless, our dishes were fine. The price/value ratio is also quite good.
We liked the salmon, the rigatoni, and the apple walnut cake.
It is good to find a restaurant with a lot of outdoor space. It is a good neighborhood place. The fact that they validate parking is great.
Our service was superb! The server knew the menu well, she was patient, helpful making Clyde’s so welcoming. Just wish I remembered her name to thank her more personally.
Our server Joe Fisher is always excellent. The new chef is also top notch.
I was disappointed yesterday, 10/10, in the hostess's hospitality, and brought this to the attention of Clyde's management.
I've been a Clyde's regular since it opened in Chevy Chase and have grown accustom to impeccable service from the entire staff, so any slight is noticeable.
It pains to me leave this unfavorable rating today. This is one of my mom’s favorite restaurants, so we visit often. Yesterday’s experience was not good and I’m hoping it’s a one-off. Our server was very inattentive and slow. I asked for straws and she came back with 1 when there were 3 drinks sitting on the table. My side salad that I asked for as an appetizer took quite some time and our entrees were just as delayed. I’m not sure if the restaurant was understaffed or what, but it got really annoying waiting for our food and waiting to get the attention of our server. Even paying the bill took a while. Again, I hope this was just one of those times.
Great place for Sundy Brunch. Eggs Benedict were great as were the Bloody Marys.
Out door seating is a plus in our current environment.
As always Clydes is always the best. Our server Olivia was excellent.
My office is across the street from this Clyde’s. Been there scores of times. Things just keep deteriorating. Open Table reservations were screwed up. The server couldn’t be less interested in serving. And he was wearing a dirty shirt! When our food finally came my Reuben didn’t have any thousand island dressing on it. I couldn’t get the server’s attention so I got up and tracked him down and asked for some. He came back to the table and said they were out of it. Then another waiter brought a portion which I added to my sandwich which by that time was cold along with the side of fries. This used to be a great restaurant.
Excellent food and service!
Our 'go to' place for a good meal. Clyde's is very accommodating for requests regarding your order. Service is top-notch.
They always do a nice job. The menu is limited but with COVID and employment challenges that is understandable. Our server was excellent and fun without being intrusive.
Brunch was superb! Patio seating was a nice option. Waffle was out of this world! Do yourself a favor!
Needed an outdoor place for lunch while visiting our daughter at college for parent’s weekend. First time at Clyde’s and it was wonderful; close by and accepted reservations for outdoor dining.
Abby was an attentive server and helpful with the menu.
Great food, great service and terrific ambiance - what more can on ask for?
Our server was excellent
The food was good at a good value
Joined a friend for dinner good was great service was even better!!
The Chevy Chase offers a varied menu and excellent parking. Eating outside on a perfect day was a huge bonus.
Always enjoy Clyde’s!
The sandwiches and sides were tasty and modified to our liking. Service was helpful but not intrusive
Clyde's is always dependable. Outside is a nice spot.
We sat outside and were asked our preference for sun vs shade. Our server was attentive and food was delivered quickly and was hot and delicious. A good experience!
Good ambience food was excellent. Waitstaff was great
Hope there are plans to keep the outside warm and bright as long as the temperature doesn't dip into the 40s.
I ordered scrambled eggs, bacon, and wheat toast. The meal comes with "brunch potatos."
The potatos were overcooked and I could only bare to eat 3 of them they were so hard. The eggs were fine, I got no bacon, and got white toast instead of wheat. I managed to flag down a manager and told him about the bacon. He got me an order quickly and apologized.
Our waiter never came to ask how the meal was.
I recommend Clyde's because I know it's a good restaurant with usually great service.
Lack of bread obvious - too bad.
Salads each had were very good.
A great place for people who have allergies. It's one of the only restaurants in the DC area where I've never been given cross-contaminated food that triggered a severe allergic reaction. The staff is exceptionally well-trained in allergy protocols.
Food and service excellent.
Thought the menu was limited. Where were the crab cakes?
Clyde's was a nice cozy place to dine on a rainy fall evening. Service was attentive, food tasty, and ambience lovely.
Service was abysmal, took over 90 minutes to get my food
