We were a group of seven and arrived to find a broken air conditioning system for a 7pm meal on a sweltering day. We not warned that there was an issue with the AC. We stuck it out but were not comped in any way. Poor customer service at that level but our wait staff was polite and professional. The transportation decor theme is colorful but the whole place needs updating and refreshing to bring back some of its original gleam. The food was good but not exceptional.

We waited a long time for soda, and were never offered bread. When I requested corn bread with my meal I was told that it was only available if I ordered ribs

An out-of-town visitor invited me to dinner but ask that I pick the restaurant. Clyde was geographically the most convenient sitting as it does on the friendship Heights Metro station. I also knew the food was good the service quite nice and we kept the price down because I didn't not want to embarrass him with picking a more expensive place.

Poor service… was later reservation and the sever was overwhelmed and received no help… saw people just standing around… Slow food, inconsistent and poor follow ups… management seemed oblivious (or didn’t care) what was happening on the floor.

This mainly relates to it be young child friendly. Went with 2 small children. Advised server at very beginning my children were "ticking time bombs" & we needed to move quickly (young children developmentally have limited patience), for which he acknowledged by saying he absolutely understood because has a young child as well (the age of his child and my oldest were nearly identical). Anyways, I put in an order for an appetizer, which never came (and was not on the final bill). That said, I lucked out the restaurant errored on it (because in hindsight it would have added time I didn't actually have). Then, since I was there to celebrate my daughter's half birthday (important to a young child and as her father I want her to feel special), I asked them for a birthday dessert, hoping they would bring something with a candle and possibly have a few staff to sing HB to her (I had my camera out and ready to record this). confirmed this at the reservation, with the server at the beginning and then again after we were done with our entrees. After, 20-25 minutes of waiting, and my kids unraveling, I had to ultimately find the manager. We never received the birthday song or dessert. And I felt like I was held hostage for nearly a half hour with two toddlers that I was trying to keep well behaved but were ready to explode because I could neither get them something special (i.e., dessert) or I could get them on their way (i.e., the server was nowhere to be found for me to ask for the check). As a parent of young children, if a server or a restaurant make my job as a parent harder, then why the hell should I go to that restaurant? I don't expect special treatment but at the same time I also don't expect to be put in a precarious situation.

Waitress was good not great. Food is average. I always loved Clydes because they are consistant. But I feel like this place needs a refresh Just seems a little tired

We had a nice meal and a good experience overall. The only qualms were that the train wasn't moving anymore, and that when I asked another staff (not our waiter) to refill my iced tea, the request was forgotten until I was able to flag down our server.
