Clyde's at Mark Center Ratings and Reviews
The Ribeye and Shrimp & Grits were flavorful. The artichoke and crab dip was salty sour. The small room crammed with tablecloth tables that my husband and I were stuffed in was disappointing. The woman sitting closer to me than my husband was coughing. I made a reservation expecting to avoid this especially when I noticed that there were normally sized dinning rooms enjoyed by other guests.
Consistently great service paired with consistently great food. We are a regular customer at this Clydes and always enjoyed the food. Favorites include the oysters, buffalo chicken sandwich (secret dish not on the menu), and sprouts when they have them. Favorite dessert would be the strawberry shortcake
place was a little dark for me, and a little outdated as to design and restaurant decor. carpets need a little cleaning but overall the experience was good. food was ok not extraordinary, we went for brunch. place is kid and family friendy. the service is good , our server is very attentive and great personality. i will be back but maybe next time for dinner or lunch not for brunch.
Clyde's changes their menu daily and also with the seasons. There's always a good selection from among appetizers, salads, sandwiches, entrees, and desserts. We went for brunch and it's always a good selection to choose from My Eggs Florentine were good, as usual, and the eggs are never overcooked! Their french toast also good. Waitress very nice.
I ordered the lamb shank which was the first lamb shank that I have ever eaten that was dry and a little on the tough side. My husband had the duck breast and he was not impressed. We've been to many Clyde's and have never had a bad meal. But this is the first time we have been to this Clyde's. It was a Tues night, kind of slow so maybe the kitchen was just not feeling it...
We enjoyed lunch in the boat room—ate French Onion Soup, Caesar salad and a crab cake. The crab cake was beautifully presented and tasted great (lots of crab meat chunks). Everything was good. Our server, Timothy W., was a charming gentleman. Clyde's is a fantastic restaurant chain and you can count on them to deliver fresh, consistently good food in comfortable and interesting rooms. We'll be back soon. Thanks!
Must admit a bit disappointed. My friends meals were okay at best. The mushroom soup was not hot and tasted of flour with little mushroom flavor. The shrimp in the pasta dish tasted old according to my friend from Coastal South Carolina and smelled slightly fishy. My winter quiche was good. Hope things will improve as I’ve always loved Clyde’s and their food.
I came for the oysters. Always good at Clyde's. Had Rockfish entrée with root vegetables. The purée which had lots of beets and broccoli overpowered the Rockfish, won't order that again. Service was lackadaisical. Clyde's is always hit or miss, which is too bad for the price point. Stick with the raw bar.
We were seated quickly, and the wait staff was at our table promptly. Drinks came quickly, and the staff gave us plenty of time to order. Food was at the table quickly, and was delicious. The wait staff checked on us several times, but wasn't trying to rush us. Highly recommended.
