Relatives in from Russia wanted show them something very America. Love the decor and the good was good.
Clyde's has consistent quality and value for the food.
Time to update/change the brunch menu?
Waiter was tired so service was a little sluggish.
Service left something to be desired. Our waitress was woefully inattentive. She took our order, someone else brought our food. Our drinks were empty third bite in to the food and we didn’t see our server again until we flagged her down for the bill. The food was alright, kind of bland tasting...no real flavor.
Asked for a quiet booth and was put in the noisiest part of the restaurant!
It was a wonderful evening get together of old friends. We were in the Newport Room. It was quiet and roomy. Service was excellent. Food was quite good. I had the pork chop and it was excellent, as was the side dish of sweet potatoes and apples. Friends had fish and chips, liver and the stew. The fish and chips were fine, but did not compare with the other dishes. The whole evening was truly enjoyable one, and I'll be back before you know it.
Good food and service
Great place! Good food! i was a great place to celebrate my husband's birthday.
I ordered the fish and chips...I had more batter than fish.
Every time I go to Clydes it seems the prices have increased once again. It's no longer worth it. If you charge fine dining prices, the service shouldn't be so poor.
We were visiting from out of town and found this gem through Open Table and thanks to their search engine. We wanted an open fire and found Clyde's. It was a chilly day for these Floridians and we were thrilled that we got a table by the fire as we have requested. It made our day! It was a very memorable and cozy visit.
Came for my uncle's 60th birthday. We had 18 guests and the team was very accommodating.
Great meal. Seated promptly, attentive server. Food arrived promptly. Creative recipes. Better shrimp and grits than any other version of this dish I've had, including in New Orleans. I want to note that this was a busy Saturday night. Thank you for a terrific experience.
Good place for a quick bite. Excellent service and imaginative cuisine.
Always a great place for two people or a large group. Good food, good atmosphere and good prices. Only issue was a large group was seated in the room we were in, and the large group acted like it was their private room. They were standing and chatting all over the room, including inches away from our seats. I wish the staff would have said something to them.
I’ve been to this location once a year for the last 5 years. There are very few alternatives close to the nearby Hilton so this is a default annual event. It’s acceptable, but nothing to rave about. I had fish and chips this time and I hope to remember not to have that again. Dining partners had better luck with the salad topped with salmon or the gnocchi.
If you are staying at the Hilton and are too tired to go out then this will suffice. Otherwise, skip it.
One of my go-to restaurants. (No pun intended!). Consistently good food, service, and ambience.
Well it was bound to happen...we had a rather disappointing experience at Clyde’s Mark Center. Our waiter was pretty much non-existent throughout our dinner. For some reason Clyde’s has dropped iceberg lettuce from their investory and consequently their signature wedge salad. Apparently mixed greens and arugula are the preferred salad components along with romaine. Opted for French onion soup appetizer and roasted chicken entree for dinner. Roasted chicken entree was terrible...to be fair they comped the chicken, but it left such bad taste reordering was not an option. Clyde’s seems to love rotating the dinner entrees, but has retains the same old dessert menu. I hope this isn’t the beginning of a downward trend. Just plain disappointed .
We had expected Easter Dinner and was disappointed to find the usual brunch menu. Next time
we are planning a holiday meal we will check the menu first. Thanksgiving was wonderful this not so much!
Always good service and good food
Though Easter staff got us seated in our favorite section
Perfect for an Easter Brunch. Outstanding service and a variety of very good food enjoyed on a busy day—starting with delicious oysters.
Stephanie took excellent care of us and we had a wonderful meal. We’ll be back.
The service at Clyde's this time around was not as good as it has been in the past. And the noise level in the restaurant seemed louder than normal.
I was celebrating my 40th Birthday and the staff really made it a great evening! They were attentive and very accommodating, even when there was a little concern with dessert.
Good liver and onions, good salmon, delicious Vignonier wine (spelling?). Service wasn't rushed and place wasn't crowded at all, so we could sit and visit.
Clyde's is a dependable mainstay in the area. Food is consistant and service attentive. Bar snacks, sandwiches and entree's are good. Not overly fancy but worth the trip for a few drinks or a meal. This restaurant is kid friendly as well. There is also plenty of free parking.
We only go to Clyde's for good food, drink, atmosphere ... and we're never disappointed. We were advised that we would have to sit at a table with an extension but our table for six could not have been better situated. The ambiance, food, drink, and conversation were never lacking. Clearly - and as expected - a good time was had by all!
This is one of our favorite restaurants.. However, the food quality in this specific night was substandard. It may have been our choice of entrees. My wife had salmon and I had the Guinness beef stew. It wasn’t as good as the meals we normally have here. We are hoping this is not a trend. We will dine here again soon and hope for the best.
Clyde's never disappoints - have been to several and they are all quality: food, service, ambiance. It was Friday in Lent so options were fish/seafood - Clyde's always had very good selections, and has really good crabcakes! I had the shrimp bucatini - really nicely done and just the right portion - not such a gigantic portion but just right - to save room for sharing red velvet cake!
Service was slower than our group expected, which made us run late for our next appointment. The food was good though.
Menu needs more variety. Same dishes appear each time we visit. Desserts are in particular the same old things.
Service is not what it used to be. The food is good and the prices moderate. They are not the accommodating place it once was though.
Lovely location and rooms. Food was good, but service left a little to deserve as there were long spells between ordering drinks and/or food before it appeared. That said, the wait staff was very pleasant and friendly and we will return as we always enjoy Clyde’s.
Homemade corned beef & cabbage on St Paddy’s Day: superb! The best ANYWHERE!
I dare admit: My Irish grandmother couldn’t have done as well!
Good food. Great bread
Took forever to receive food. When it came, one of the dishes, the mushroom risotto had obviously been sitting awhile. It was lukewarm and congealed. Still ate half of it because I didn't want to make a scene with family present. Worst dish I ever ate at a Clyde's and I've been to 'em all in D.C. area.
The food was very average. I had blackened catfish that was extremely dry. My colleague had crab cakes — too much filler. The server was really bad — no personality and not helpful. The restaurant has great ambiance and it is kid friendly but not much else.
The menu seems to be updated. Service continues to be held to a high standard . The food was ample in portion and delicious.
