Excellent service and excellent food : Chesapeake Bennie amazing.
We come here from time to time, and almost always have a great dining experience. However this time, my wife ordered a seafood pasta dish that was described as a bit spicy. To the contrary, it was actually pretty bland, and the pasta was undercooked. She was a bit disappointed.
Disappointed in menu- not up to usual selections. No lobster, for one thing. Just not good selections.
This is our go-to place for lunch with a friend in a wheel chair. It’s great for lingering conversations after a filling meal.
Quality food....quality venue...quality service.
Not very crowded but took a long time for initial service. One entree was heavily salted and the other was particularly average and worthy of diner food and not what we have come to expect from Clyde’s.
Always a pleasant experience, with attentive but not intrusive service and an upscale environment that permits easy conversation. Steak wedge salad offered two tender and delicious steak medallions. My wife's trout was even better than expected, perfectly cooked. Only complaint is that the take-out burger was slightly undercooked. We always know what to expect and will be back to Clyde's.
I have always enjoyed Clyde's! I do think the 'fishing room' booth seats are terribly uncomfortable for my back and I am not sure why but twice we have sat there, and my lower back pays for it every time! I need to remember to be put in another dining room next time!
Always consistently good! Food is fresh and locally sourced as available.
Clyde's oysters are the best.
My martini was served in a water glass with ice. When I explained that I wanted it straight up, the waitress took it and poured it into a smaller glass. Of course there was a lot of meltage from the ice and it was not to my liking.
Very pleasant experience, excellent service, delicious food, and top notch craft IPA draught beer.
recommended the place spend a spectacular lunch
I always enjoy eating at Clyde's because the atmosphere is good and the food is wonderful!
The food was good but not stellar. Chicken could have had more flavor and the braised beef was a bit dry. The service was slow to start but was then attentive for the rest of the evening. Ambiance was great and it was quiet so it was easy to hear other people at the table. The holiday decor made it feel cozy.
Food and drink were excellent. Our waiter was superb. The room was quiet enough to enjoy our conversation. We really enjoyed News Years' Eve with a good meal and quiet atmosphere.
This is our 2nd trip and now have placed this on our standard list for a great meal. The oysters are a routine hit and are fresh, delicious and always available. Cocktails are pleasant and ample. High on our list for recommendations are the beet salad, NY strip, Steak Frites, and trout. The vegetables that accompany the main dishes are tasty, ample and complement the dishes.
Perhaps the most notable feature is exemplary service from numerous wait-staff. It is polite, unobtrusive and efficient. It was New Year's Eve and the place was packed. Thanks to an online reservation, we were able to get seats at the bar within a few minutes.
The Negroni's were excellent as was the brownie dessert which was ample for sharing.
I had the jumbo crab cake as it has been a signature of Clyde's for years and sadly I was disappointed. I chose 1 medallion and it was very small and very "bready" not at all like the crab cake they are reputed for full of lump crab meat. It was New Year's Eve and while the service was good it wasn't outstanding or very good, just enough to get by. On a positive note, I had previously made a reservation for 2 and the front desk was able to accommodate 4 persons, a change I called about 5 days ahead, so I greatly appreciated that.
We had a great New Year's Eve dinner. We'll be back.
Though it was New Year's Eve we still got outstanding service and food. Our waiter, Louis, was excellent recommending an great wine to go with our meals. We've eaten here before and we were very happy that we went back for this special night.
Great neighborhood delight, good food, great raw bar, great beers!!!
Been going to the original since 1972. Now in Chicago but when in town always get to Clyde’s for the best, best, best chili in the world!
Got together with family for lunch. Had a wonderful visit and meal. Terrific experience
Very good food and great service from our waiter. Only drawback was that one individual in our party is Gluten-Free and options are limited. The menu states that pasta options can be prepared Gluten-Free (at a small extra charge) but we found out this was not possible with the ravioli (so this was a bit misleading). Otherwise, nothing to complain about and I am happy to recommend the restaurant to others.
I made a reservation for Christmas eve 2018 at 9:00 PM. Quick and friendly service, excellent food, nice environment. It couldn't be better.
Clyde's at Mark Center is my local go to for consistently good food with a nice atmosphere. The house wine is a bargain and the warm bread with butter is a welcomed start. There's something on the menu to please everyone and the bill doesn't break the bank.
I've been eating at Clydes for over 20 years, and I think the menu isn't as good as it was in the past. The price of the cuts of meat was too expensive. The entrees were fair.
Food quality was very poor. Steak frites— steak was very poor quality meat. Lots of Grisel. Veggies sub par. Went there Christmas Eve. It wasn’t as I remember. Used to be good. Won’t go back.
Best Christmas decorations in town.
Excellent service on a very busy night, Christmas Eve.
We had great service and food Christmas Eve. Thank you!
Wanted to grab a bite as we headed out of DC from seeing a show. Oysters were tasty, calamari was delicious with a great coating. All entrees were delicious.
I love Clyde’s and haven’t visited that location in about 15 years. The ambiance was great, service was amazing, but my grits were not cooked fantastically. That would be my only complaint.
I am always happy when I come to Clydes. I’ve been coming for a decade. Recommend very highly!
Food was very good...typical of clydes.
Waitstaff less than attentive. Not crowded, but service was lacking.
Always a reliable spot for food! Loves
Always great food at Clydes. Had catfish and it was delicious
dinner with elderly mother
Food was excellent. Service was impeccable thank you for a great holiday dinner
Having not been to Clyde's in awhile I did not know what to expect, but during the busy Holiday Season all of the staff members I encountered were at the top of their game. From the host who greeted us, to the server of our table (Patrick) and all others, it was a stellar experience.
