Clyde's at Mark Center
Indoor, Outdoor, Carryout
We know it is no fun to wear a mask while enjoying a night out, but our staff's safety is no laughing matter.
We require all guests to wear a mask while moving about the restaurant, and when speaking to Clyde's employees.
Masks have been a hot topic, with passionate views on all sides. With our team and their families' health at stake, we must err on the side of caution. We hope you will understand and look forward to the day, hopefully soon, when we can all throw our masks in the trash.

Thank you Clydes for a very nice Friday evening. We appreciated the special care during these times and are grateful to enjoy a lovely evening at a favored restaurant! The steak and lobster were delicious---
Always a great experience at Clydes.
Another enjoyable experience, even if it is in a parking lot.
One of our few restaurant meals out since Covid 19 restrictions were begun. The tent made for a pleasant environment for lunch. Service was slow and less than attentive, but we weren't in a rush and I think they're running on short staff both in terms of servers and the kitchen. The big disappointment was the lobster. We've been going to Clyde's for the lobster special for over 20 years. And the lobsters have always been great, flown in fresh daily and sold in quantity to happy diners. Well, my husband's lobster was less than fresh, not off, but definitely not alive the day before. I had a reuben sandwich and the corned beef was just perfect, thinly sliced, still rare, not too salted. If I had gotten the lobster, I would have sent it back, but my husband didn't want to make a fuss. So nice to get out but so very disappointing that his meal was less than mediocre.
Wonderful food and very relaxed dining. I highly recommend Clyde’s.
Very safe place. Restaurant takes appropriate steps to ensure safety from the spread of COVID 19 - masks, sanitizing menus, seating, tables, etc., and social distancing - indoors every other booth with plexiglass dividers. Give Clydes an A+
For outdoor dining during this pandemic, Clyde's at Mark Center offers an outstanding setting. The restaurant has covered a sizable area of its parking lot with awnings and umbrellas to accommodate dining parties of different sizes, all well distanced from each other. (Note: The outdoor dining area has expanded considerably since it was first offered early in the summer.) The distance between the outside tables also makes the dining experience quieter than it sometimes is inside the restaurant.
We went there, on this occasion, specifically for the lobster special--which, at $22, including fries and slaw, is a real bargain. I think the special runs until the end of October.
Service is always good.
Clyde’s has done a nice job with the tent outdoors. Big planters and lots of space between tables make for comfortable dining. Service was great, and the food is the same, dependable dining experience as always.
Ate outdoors, and their outdoor space is excellent. Servers are very careful and wear masks and gloves. You are asked to put your mask on whenever a server comes to your table. Food is superb. I had the fresh lobster and felt just like I was in Maine! Definitely a place to go and I just hope they get heaters so this wonderful journey can continue in the colder months ahead.
Excellent customer service! Our waiter name was Shawn and he was so attentive and so was the manager! The safer protocols due to Covid was excellent!
They were super organized. all polite and friendly. the safety features were spot on!. hand sanitizers and paper towels on the ready.
The food was very good. My Steak frites was bigger last time I visited in Georgetown.
A very enjoyable experience. Becoming my go to place.
One of the things I look forward to every time they have them is Maine Lobster. Me, my wife, our daughter and son-in-law made a reservation. I ordered a dozen raw oysters which rated right up there with the best I have ever eaten. All 12 were plump and tasty with a nice salt water taste. I ordered a pair of lobsters with no sides, our son-in-law, who had never eaten a whole lobster ordered a single with sides and we both enjoyed them. Our daughter ordered the steak, which she said was perfectly cooked and delicious. My wife ordered the meatloaf. It was a large serving and we brought some of it home, which I later made into a sandwich. It was delicious. All in all we had a very enjoyable experience.
I have been going to Clyde's for many, many years. I guess blame it on the COVID but our "service" was terrible. First, I ASKED, specifically, for my lobster NOT to be cracked. Some of "the best" lobster juice is contained in those UNCRACKED lobster claws!! I'm a New Englander hailing from Boston. I know. Our waitress was not attentive. We had LONG waits "in-between." I'm hesitant to return for "outdoor" dining.
Staff was wonderful, and very kind. I do wish they came around more frequently to the table. It was nice we weren’t rushed, but we rarely saw our server. The food was delicious- just priced at the higher end. The ambiance was very cute. The inside seating was every other row and every other booth. The outside seating looked well lit too. If you’re looking for a safer option due to the PHE this is a topic pick for safety. Oh and of course the place is very cute.
Outdoor dining is nice; great service.
We had a lovely meal and felt perfectly safe sitting under the tent outside. Our server, Sean, was excellent as was the food. Always love Clyde's
We ate outside and the area is very well maintained for social distancing. The service is top notch and the food always great.
Great to be back at Clyde's. They are doing an excellent job with social distancing
I love this restaurant, particularly during covid. They have maintained their levels of excellence in all respects. I feel very safe because of their protocols and table spacing.
They allowed me to have a half salad and the table to have a shared appetizer without surcharge. They also created a wonderfully refreshing lemonade with grenadine. My friends split the calamari and I had Caesar salad. I had the veal and my friends had salmon and lobster. We all had the apple crumble. There was not a scrap left on any plate.
Make a reservation. You can thank me later.
Clyde's is always good, as well as service and really appreciate their Outdoor Dining . I really hope they are able to get heaters to use Outdoors so we can extend the season a bit during this Covid year.
While our calamari was very tasty, as were our desserts, we ordered the lobster shepard's pie which was very unsatisfying. A lot of glop tasting too strongly of fennel, with peas and carrots and mashed potatoes and some tasteless lobster meat. If you want to use up lobster, why not make a nice lobster roll? Our mistake to order it but it certainly wasn't up to Clyde's usual level of delicious.
Ate outdoors. Everything was great. And I mean everything: food, service and ambiance. Eating outdoors is very safe. Tables are socially distant. Servers were masks and gloves. Orders taken and food delivered only if people at the tables put on their masks. You feel very, very confident that nothing bad will happen.
Clydes has done a wonderful job of moving the dining room outside. I hope the weather continues to hold so I can return. The staff was wonderful, accommodating and took the covid-related precautions seriously. The food and service was consistently good as usual.
Clyde's has done a wonderful job of providing a covid-safe dining experience. We were seated on the patio (former parking covered in tents). It was comfortable and given that they are surrounded by trees, a really lovely setting for a fall dinner. The wait staff was gracious. Happy to support a local business doing their best to bring restaurant dining back!
Really appreciated the very open tents outdoors and the distance servers kept while interacting with us. We felt very safe. Food was good. It was nice of them to put a candle in our dessert for our anniversary.
what a lovely spot!
We came here for my husbands birthday. Clydes is always our go to place. The food is great and their new outdoor dining is very nice. Our server,Danielle, was amazing and gave us a great wine recommendation.
Great place and food to match! Try it soon, you’ll
Very nice & pleasant - area power went after right after lunch which not restaurant fault
Great place for eating outside on a lovely fall day. In spite of an electric power outage, the staff carried on professionally and made sure our group was well served.
As always the food was excellent and the service was first class.
Clyde's Mark Center really adapted to COVID well. Tented area in parking lot that was under the trees. Tables spaced out appropriately, all staff following all guidelines. All patrons wearing masks while moving around and at the table until food arrives.
Outdoor dinning was great and service was outstanding
Covid-19 restrictions really puts the lid on the place. Just didn't have the spark I usually expect of Clyde's.
For outside dining during Covid, it was great. Weather cooperated, wait-staff was excellent, food was good.
We enjoyed our socially-distanced dinner under the tent.
