Clyde's at Mark Center
Indoor, Outdoor, Carryout
We know it is no fun to wear a mask while enjoying a night out, but our staff's safety is no laughing matter.
We require all guests to wear a mask while moving about the restaurant, and when speaking to Clyde's employees.
Masks have been a hot topic, with passionate views on all sides. With our team and their families' health at stake, we must err on the side of caution. We hope you will understand and look forward to the day, hopefully soon, when we can all throw our masks in the trash.

The food was delicious and the service was excellent!
Always reliable. Clydes is a well run restaurant. Good food. Good service
Great brunch with friends for the first time since the pandemic hit. The outdoor seating was great although there isn't too much they can do to distract from eating in the parking lot. The food and service were great as usual. I'm glad I got to (finally) support one of my favorite places and plan to return (outside) soon.
Beautiful outdoor seating, good food, incredibly slow getting food. Clyde’s staff tells you that they limit your stay to 90 minutes. We were there 120 minutes of which 45 minutes was waiting for main course and 30 minutes waiting for dessert which arrived half frozen.
I had an amazing experience at Clyde’s with a first date. And this is during Covid and it went all according to plan to create a great lasting memory. Staff was a gracious in meeting my every request. Food was delicious. Wine was recommended and was perfect. Bravo!
given concern that many diners have about returning to inside seating in restaurants, clyde's has provided an excellent outdoor venue for dining and distancing. set up under tents in the parking lots, clydes at mark center is providing linen covered tables with all the detail and attention of dining inside. masks must be worn when interacting with wait staff and when entering and leaving the tent areas (or using the restrooms inside the restaurant). service is a little slower than usual - that cost clydes one star - but the wait staff is courteous and professional, and perhaps understaffed for outside dining. food and value remain excellent.
Phenomenal lobster special...$21.999 for a 1 1/4 lobster with fries!
Opted for Outdoor seating as did an inordinate amount of flies. Ordered the Caesar salad with salmon. Too little dressing and an overcooked fillet.
Service was great
Enjoyed sitting out under one of the tents. Food was delicious as always, service fantastic.
Me and my date enjoyed the set-up outside and the privacy from other space
Great as always
Dining outdoors was handled safely and Clyde's is always a reliably comfortable place to have drinks and whatever food each person in the party has in mind to eat. We had a lovely bottle of wine and oysters. A definitely appreciated pandemic break.
Haven't eaten out since March! Our 55th wedding anniversary so I'm not cooking, but not ready yet to go inside to dine. Drove to Clyde's at Mark Center (Alexandria) to check on the outdoor seating: spacious, pleasant under white canopies, tables far apart. Made reservation through Open Table with added note about our anniversary. Menu, although pared down, was ample. We each selected something I do not make at home. Husband selected hangar steak entree: perfectly cooked with tasty sides. I had seared scallops: delicious, wonderful corn fritters. Shared starter was hummus--also great. Dessert: key lime pie. . ."the best" said Southerner hubby. Bottle of red wine and we were happy! Super server. Only annoyance: When we arrived, greeter had to search at length for our reservation. Then grumpily seated us--no apology for the difficulty or wait. Clyde's outdoors is worth the visit!
Excellent job of social distancing, masking. Felt entirely safe. And happy!
My husband and I ate at Clyde's at Mark Center. We enjoyed our meal. I had the Reuben sandwich and my husband had ribs, they were both tasty. The restaurant is spacious, and during times of COVID, I felt comfortable because guests have to wear masks when walking to their tables and to the restroom. The staff wore masks and gloves.
This is my 4th time eating at Clyde's at Mark Center. Phenomenal every time. High quality food with stellar service.
Dimmer on the improvised patio was divine. No street noise!
I love Clyde's - Mark Center - outdoor seating arrangement. I feel very safe there. And, they offer fairly elegant service.
Service was excellent. Food was very good. Social distancing and masks were in place and adhered to. Staff maintained a safe distance at all time. Was very happy with everything.
They do a great job with outside dining and precautions-
VERY NICE !
Our server (Ebony) was outstanding as were the oysters! Super fresh and delicious, not to mention a great deal @ $24/dozen! Only issue was a lot of flies outside when we first were seated. We asked Ebony if we could move inside and she was more than happy to accommodate us. Great atmosphere inside in the lake cabin room and only 1 other couple in there. Very clean and felt very safe.
we sat outdoors under a capacious tent - dimmers on the bright string lights would add a lot to the ambience - we felt very safe - staff and patrons were all being observant of masking, etc.
Halibut was the best I've ever had! Service outstanding. Felt very safe went above and beyond safety protocols
Ate outside due to pandemic. Venue is a parking lot - however service was kind and courteous. Food was excellent and overall I had a great Sunday splurge
If one is concerned about dining inside due to COVID, there is no place you might feel safer than Clyde's. The staff's actions surpassed CDC recommendations. Kudos to all.
Tomato salad with fresh cut corn was outstanding. Also had the ribs with excellent sides. Loved everything, especially the atmosphere.
The woman who seated us held us to a higher mask-mandate than any restaurant I have witnessed. This in itself was called for because of COVID-19 and we masked full like we were supposed to be. However, the woman who seats people let a woman who ate there who never wore her mask on entry, was never warned like we were, and never ever wore her mask over her face, nose or mouth the entire time (against health codes)--strange inconsistent rules of engagement. Additionally, the server treated us like we had leprosy staying 8-10 feet from us, but cozy-ing up to the unmasked woman throughout. The inconsistent lack of application was bizarre and disconcerting.
The food and service were excellent. This is a well managed location for Clydes. We will be back often.
Clydes never fails to be excellent, from start to finish it was fantastic. From the perfect martini to the delicious eggplant Parm. Santiago, our server was awesome, attentive and friendly, he even laughed at a few of my jokes. Great job!!
Clouded did a great job greeting us, sitting us outside In the middle of August and we were still rather cool. And the food was delicious.
"I love the relaxed feel of this place – like a comfortable dining room in a friends home. I definitely would return to try more dishes. The Zuchinni chips were great as was the main dishes. Dessert was the best!!!
We chose Clyde’s because the food is always excellent and they have a spacious and comfortable outdoor covered seating option. They’re appropriately strict about masks which we appreciate but that did not diminish our enjoyment one bit. Same great food and service, but outside!
Excellent dinner for 50th anniversary celebration
We ate outside, they’ve done a great job with turning the parking lot into a charming area. More importantly they are super vigilant with COVID protocols and precautions. We felt very comfortable dining there and will return. As always, the food was delicious and the service was great.
Good service and excellent peach cobbler but overpriced at $9 compared to similar restaurants which charge $8 for a much larger fruit pie portion
They have great outdoor seating. Perfect for those who want to be socially distanced.
The Patio is quite nice and the staff makes you fee safe. The food and service are consistently good.
Good food in a safe outdoor environment. Excellent service.
Outdoor dinning set up is great
With the temperature down we decided to give Clyde's outdoor dining a shot instead of our usual curbside pick-up. Throughout our dining experience we felt very comfortable and safe. Thank you for having outdoor dining as an option. Food great as usual. We'll be back again.
