We require all guests to wear a mask while moving about the restaurant, and when speaking to Clyde's employees.

Our dinner on Saturday night was excellent - as always. Usually the waitstaff is friendly and knowledgeable. Unfortunately this was not so on Saturday. Our waiter was borderline rude. We waited over 20 minutes to get our drinks after we ordered and he blamed it on the bar staff. We asked what the specials were he said read it on the menu.
We had to ask him what the fresh veggies were and he told us to read this, too, on the menu. We finally complained to the manager a new waitperson completed the serving of our meal. Think the waiter needs to take a Waiting on Tables - 101 over again.
The food is always well prepared. A wide variety of choices
Really not pleased with Clydes decision to increase prices on oyster happy hour while reducing hours. Can't blame Covid forever and they need to rectify this soon. Also, our server was inconsistent with his Covid protocols. He approached some diners without masks but seemed to single out an older gentlemen and caused a bit of a scene insisting the gentleman put on his mask. All or nothing folks, you can't select who you think should wear a mask.
After the two weeks waiting period after final vaccinations, we yielded to our craving for fresh oysters. Clyde's outdoor dining arrangements are outstanding -- open sides for air circulation, widely spaced tables, one-use menus and wine lists, and masked-and-gloved servers. The only weak point is the more limited menu than in the past; we settled for burgers after the oysters although would have preferred something else. Service by Danielle was perfect -- professional, courteous, attentive, and safe.
We ate in the Secret Garden, and it was fabulous. Food and service were excellent.
We have a long history with Clyde's and it continues to be top notch. They deal particularly well with COVID concerns. We are happy to have it.

We will return. Very large seating capacity with additional outdoors. We ate Easter brunch inside with little customers near us. Waitress was pleasant and efficient. Food good.

The spacing between tables was ample and the noise level was low - very good for conversation. The service was a little slow, but the food was pretty good, though the roasted chicken was a little dry yet very flavorful. Nice variety of choices on the menu and good value all around. The front desk team did forget to check us in for our Open Table reservation, so when I got the email that we had missed our reservation (while we were eating), I went back to the front desk, and they got us checked in.

Service was excellent. I ordered an egg white omelet which was good but it contained garlic which might be helpful to describe in the menu. I am not a garlic lover.

Outdoor dining in early evening. Heaters were a little problematic but worked properly eventually. Food and service excellent under pandemic conditions. Great to be back after a year’s absence!!
I was very hesitant to write this review, I have been a frequent patron of all the Clyde's for Years, Since 1993, The Founder Stuart Davidson was a customer of mine at Jerry's Ford & would buy his Trucks from me. He gave me a business card the 2nd vehicle & Wrote , Please give the bearer of this card all courtesies & his meals are on the house.
I was always so impressed by that & would go up on Fridays & have lunch. Later started bring mom & dad & my Girlfriend Diane, became friends with Tim, the manager. Always could count on a Great Meal, A great drink & a fair value. Clydes has always been known for a Great burger, many years later, I learned Wow.. Best Ruben in town as well. During the start of the pandemic, I would still come for carry out for mom , dad & myself . Since then, The Quality of the food in my opinion has slipped to sub par . Very disappointed in the shrimp which were always crisp & fresh, now chewy & tasted old. What really angered me was the complete lack of value on the Oysters Rockefeller . 4, for that much money? After a lifetime coming , spending money & enjoying all the Clyde's I am going with the 3 strike rule. For 187.00, I will be spending my money with Great American , Ruth Chris Or even Morton's... You need to figure out what changed in the kitchen in order to get back on track. Look back 1.5 years, See who was ordering food, Who was preparing ... I own 3 companies myself, & I saw the change When Covid started.... Clyde's is too important to DC to go away, Please fix this ... Thank you, Parris 703 203 9497

Our drinks arrived at the same time as our food. And the food was not quick by any means.
The menu was sad and the food even sadder. Had a turkey sandwich which was dry. Friend had a Benedict which was 2 inches of dry bread.
Cost of beverages were outrageous.

This is a really great restaurant and very enjoyable.
Our experience was great up until the very end. Our server was very attentive and even took the extra step by bringing my fiancé a birthday dessert and everything to end our meal without our asking. Unfortunately, as we were leaving, I’m pretty sure we (including my fiancé and his parents) were profiled. After handling our bill with our server, closing everything out with her, and leaving the tip on the table, we stood up to put our jackets and we were approached by a woman asking if needed help with anything. Thinking nothing of it, we say no ma’am, and thank you. As we are passing the only other restaurant patrons on our side of the floor, she asks if we needed her help to make sure we pay our bill. We respond with “That’s been handled, and why would you think we didn’t pay our bill?”, and her response was I may have looked at the wrong table. There was nobody else near us due to social distancing restrictions. The exchange was handled poorly, and instead of a proper apology she played the ignorance card. I am going to assume she was the manager and if she was really that concerned, she could have looked on the table the first time she questioned us. So we will not be back, and she needs to do better interacting with her customers.
I wanted to come back and make an amendment to the above review, the general manager took the time to reach out to me individually and I was very appreciative of him doing so. He took the time to ask for specifics, explain what was shared with him via staff, & and provide Insight on the corrective measures that would be taken. Because of that I wanted to change my original rating of a 3. He handled the situation very very well.

The best part of the experience was our Waitress. She was gracious, helpful and flexible in how we ordered our meal. The food was very tasty and well prepared, but it is always enhanced by the way the waitress takes the order and ties to time her service as well as presentation of the check.
Clyde's is the neighborhood go to place. The outdoor dining area is great for those of us wanting to eat outside during these times. Thank you to the staff for being so accommodating and gracious. We realize service to the outdoor dining area is challenging.
