Clyde's at Mark Center
Indoor, Outdoor, Carryout
We know it is no fun to wear a mask while enjoying a night out, but our staff's safety is no laughing matter.
We require all guests to wear a mask while moving about the restaurant, and when speaking to Clyde's employees.
Masks have been a hot topic, with passionate views on all sides. With our team and their families' health at stake, we must err on the side of caution. We hope you will understand and look forward to the day, hopefully soon, when we can all throw our masks in the trash.

Excellent Covid protections in place. Great service
Celebrated a birthday with friends last night; part of 6, sat at the round table, food was great, service was prompt and server was attentive, parking was ample, price was worth it. Very good experience.
We had a great business luncheon meeting. Excellent food and service. Thank you.
We were exceptionally pleased by the service we received. Our server was friendly, attentive and professional.
Never had a bad meal here. Curre t favorites are the rigatoni and the lump crab cake
The food, service, and atmosphere were terrific. It's always a nice night at Clyde's!
We always enjoy coming to Clyde's. The food is consistently excellent, regardless of what you order. I tried the Baked Icelandic Cod and it was terrific. It reminded me of ordering baked cod in some of my favorite New England restaurants. The vegetables (potatoes and green beans) were also cooked to perfection. The atmosphere just enhances the experience.
We needed to leave early, server was excellent making sure we could make it to our appt
Excellent experience from arrival to departure. Food was excellent and seafood very fresh. Server and staff were attentive and very personable. Will return again!
Great dinner and server was very attentive
Food and service were excellent.
Haven’t been there since the pandemic- just as lovely as I remembered. Tables nicely spaced. Our server had a lot of tables but was attentive and knowledgeable- oysters,Osso buco rockfish were all good / the wine was a hunt but found a Pinot noir that worked.
Great find on OpenTable, glad we booked! Enjoyed everything that we had, oysters, clam chowder, curry lentil soup, lemon chicken salad and grain bowl. Accommodating to our taste, can’t wait to go back again when visiting. Great hidden gem in a quiet area.
The food was delicious, the service was prompt, but the ambiance for a New Years Eve dinner was poor. No decorations, no music, and no joy. Much better to order take out.
Our server, Beatrice, was the best! Great food and superb dining experience. Our only regret is that we did not have room for dessert.
Fish was perfectly cooked; butternut squash ravioli is heaven. Isabella, our server was friendly and attentive
Just ok….service good - food ok - not worth the price. Boring atmosphere.
Clyde’s has always been our go-to place to enjoy a good meal. Can’t go wrong…we haven’t in 15 years!
Service and ambiance were excellent. Food was good, but not great. Salmon was cooked well, but overly seasoned...heavy on the salt. Pork shank was tender and juicy but the stock it was sitting in was heavily salted. French fries with my son's sandwich...again heavily salted.
I always enjoy Clyde’s. It’s always a dependable place to dine.
I made special request for a specific booth. Upon arrival i see the manager seating people in my desired spot. It was clear he did not read any upcoming reservations special requests (hosting staff shrugged shoulders apologetically) and he word-salad the reason why he could not accommodate our requests. The wait staff was excellent. Lots if constant confusion over the payment station. Loud bar music inside the dining area which hampered the experience.. felt like 54th Street Grill. Its a beautiful place inside. Too bad the manager’s practices brings it down a notch.
Overall a very nice evening and dinner at Clyde's in Alexandria, VA. Food was delicious, I had the shrimp scampi and my friend had the filet mignon done to perfection. Along with warm bread and yummy dessert a wonderful evening. Clyde's never disappoints.
We are never disappointed coming to CLYDE’S. Everything is beyond compare.
Every time we return home to my beloved Alexandria, VA, a meal with raw oysters and excellent cocktails followed by a sumptuous lunch or dinner Clyde's Mark Center is absolute must! Consistently perfect in every detail.
Christmas Eve Dinner
Clyde's is always a reliably good restaurant for an night out or for special occasions!
Kind of an out of the way location, but well worth the detour. More of a local hangout, with great food and service.
This Clyde's restaurant is always consistent and excellent value. The staff is always attentive, the food is top notch, and the atmosphere is very inviting. The restaurant is also exceptionally clean and Covid-19 safe. Not to mention, the parking is plentiful and FREE. Also, if you like fresh oysters, this is the place to go. Thier oyster happy hour is also worth the trip.
Appreciated efforts to keep diners socially distant. As always, food, service, and ambiance were outstanding.
So disappointed in the crab cake, unlike past, this was half breading. Calimari was crispy but half the dish was fried jalapeños. Service great as usual.
Clyde's is always a safe bet for a client meal. Everyone is very professional and helpful. Food is reliable and a good choice
Promotion and Christmas
Great service from check in to food service
Love the food-staff is always cheerful. Great neighborhood place to go.
Really great service!
Service was outstanding!!
We could not hear ourselves talk. They put us in a room where eventually large tables filled the room with 2 separate parties of 20 people each. This should have been a party room only for these two groups. As I told their reception, the bar would have been better. Very disappointing.
The food and service were both excellent. Great place for a quiet Sunday evening.
I love Clyde's! I took my friend out for her birthday and we were both happy with the brunch food and service. The ambiance is always pleasant.
Upon checking in, we were taken to the farthest place in the restaurant, passed many nice empty tables and booths in the Newport room on our way to the Gulag, where it was cold. We subsequently asked to be moved to another area of the restaurant. We ended up in the Crew Bar Lounge. Why there, who knows when all of the other dining rooms had lots of empty tables and booths. Who they were saving these for, who knows. Even when leaving, they were still dozens of empty tables and booths.
Wife’s meal was good. My meal was abysmal. Nothing like ordering a steak salad where the salad is literally a small lettuce head quartered with a dollop of dressing on each quarter where the top layer of lettuce had dressing and the other 15 layers of lettuce underneath was just lettuce. True for all 4 quarters. Salad was supposed to have maple sugar coated pecans. There were actually 2 small bits of pecans on one quarter. Steak was sitting on the side as if I had ordered steak and a salad vs a steak salad. Meat was mediocre. Nice waiter anytime we saw him. Music in the bar was A+ but a bit loud.
We’ve been going to all Clyde’s locations ever since they opened for business and have been to this one a number of times; this being the worse experience for me.
Will return but next time will request a specific dining room and will stay clear of the “steak and salad.”
