Clyde's at Mark Center
All was very good. Your location near the Hilton is ideal as we attend a dance there each weekend at this time.
Could use a few more seafood/meatless options on the menu (for example, clam choweder minus the bacon). Otherwise an excellent choice for our to group to get together and break bread. See you next year as this time.
As always, Clyde's is unique in that the menu is great, the noise level is low, the value is superb.
Food was not prepared as requested — well done burger . Hard to get waitress for coffee refills and coffee luke warm. This is our second experience where we were disappointed. No plans to return .
My wife and I dine at Clyde's nearly weekly. The food is usually uniformly excellent. We enjoy happy hour in the bar and prefer it to the dining rooms, but, this past week the noise was offputting mostly because the place was packed and we were later than usual, arriving at almost 5:30. The oysters were outstanding as always as were the hamburgers my guests ate with gusto. Our server, who we've had in the past on multiple occasions, must have been more harried than ordinarily, since, our dishes were not cleared as they were finished and piled up on the table making it crowded and feeling quite hectic. This can happen occasionally, so, it won't deter us from those wonderful happy hours, the succulent oysters and the professional manner in which they are always shucked and served. :-)
I took a family member for her first time. She enjoyed the French onion soup and crab cakes. She’s ready to return today!!
Very disappointed with booth table. I had specifically requested “a table, not a booth” when making the reservation. When called to be seated, the hostess said “Oh, I just now see you requested a table. Unfortunately We do not have any tables available.” She suggested we try a booth, and if it did not work, they could put a chair at the end of the booth in the aisle.
We tried, but My guest with back problems could not sit in the booth without great pain, so we settled for the chair at the end. The chair was in the aisle, and uncomfortably straddled the table leg. Discomfort all evening for him.And awkward for reunion dinner with my cousin who we had not seen in over 30 years.
The food and service were very good as usual.
The failure of hostess to check special requests on a reservation (made days ahead) is terribly disappointing.
When my wife and I lived in Reston, the Clyde's in Reston Town Center was our favorite go to as it was just around the corner. Now that we are in Woodbridge, Clyde's Mark Center is closest, but still a drive so we don't get there as often as we would like. Clyde's has always had outstanding service and delicious food. In addition they also offer happy hour 7 days per week.
Our server was excellent, as were the dinners we ordered.
The only suggestion for improvement overall is that Clyde's require the runners who bring the orders of raw oysters to the table spend 15 seconds telling us which oysters are which! That is standard practice in every oyster bar on the planet, and it was surprising that Clyde's, a restaurant that has featured oysters on its menus forever, has not trained its staff to do the same. Even with the reduced-price early evening specials, for what I am paying Clyde's for the little critters I not only want to know their names and watery hometowns, but also the maiden names of their mothers and the names of their first pets. Seriously. They taste good and cost a lot, but they all kinda look alike. Help us out here, Clyde's. Do the right thing. Be polite and introduce your oysters.
Outstanding service, great food, and a great place to celebrate with friends
Friday in Lent dining. Menu has a nice selection of fish and seafood which made ordering very easy. Wonderful raw bar.
Clyde’s is Always spot on. I would recommend for anything from a business lunch to a special occasion!
We were a little disappointed that there was no "special" advertised. Maybe we just missed it. Anyway, we were seated by the fireplace on a chilly night....perfect! Great wait staff, and not noisy at all. We love Clydes restaurants.
Wonderful time. Waiter Orlando was really very knowledgeable and did just the right amount of hovering.
New chef brings new menu items!
Great! Delicious food - high quality.
Excellent menu, with many choices. Service was efficient, and servers were polite and friendly. Prices were very reasonable.
The food at Clyde's is consistently good. Staff is pleasant and efficient. The booths are comfortable and roomy. I love that water is left on the table in a pitcher so that it is readily available. It is a very good neighborhood place to dine either for lunch or dinner.
4 of us enjoyed brunch ... food was great, attentive service, complimentary coffee cake. The booth was a good size but a little uncomfortable overall. This room was a little chilly compared to the fireplace room we had last time. We will return.
Yummy apps, yummy wine, and yummy entrees! Steak frites was a little undercooked and the manager took it back to the kitchen and back!
Waiter must have been overworked because it took 35 minutes from seating to place our order.
The restaurant on a whole has a homey atmosphere. The particular dining room we were seated in is made to appear to be a hunting lodge. I must say since I'm not fond of hunting I was a little put off by the racks of shotguns on either side of the fireplace. I didn't let this disturb the enjoyment of our meal. I began with a glass of viognier and an appetizer of deep fried calamari which came with a dipping roumelade. For a main course we had broiled brook trout which came with potatoes and green beans. The servings were generous and required a take out box.
A wonderful spot for a business lunch. First time at this Clyde’s and I loved it. Food was wonderful, service excellent, ambiance warm and welcoming. Would highly recommend this spot.
The friend fish portions for the fish n chips were very tiny for $15.99
Terrific food and ambience. Service a bit slow but good.
Service was not good, but food and everything was good.
My sons 24th birthday and a celebration of holiday first full time professional job.
The usual good food and good service. Highly recommended
Keeping in mind it was Valentine’s Day, the expectations were not too high as everyplace is crazy. We eat here often, it was not our greatest experience. Everything was just a little off. We were noticing there has been a gradual slide lately. We still like the Mark Center Clyde’s, but went to the Ebbitt last week and the Reston Clyde’s in mid Jan. We may continue to explore.
Superb service, food, and ambiance. A great neighborhood place
Food was good but the service was slow probably because was a busy day.
Valentines Day dinner rang all the bells!
Great food, lovely atmosphere. Service wasn’t as attentive as normal, but it was Valentine’s Day.
We always enjoy our experience at Clyde's. Very classy place from the music they play to the tables for a meal.
We use the Alexandria location weekly. They have half price wine on Tuesday and the dinner and seafood specials are especiallygood and very popular.
Good food and drink. Lively atmosphere!
Need to work on food quality. Fish, of the fish & chips, was poor - mushy cod, obviously long frozen
Have always enjoyed the food, service, and ambiance at Clyde's at Mark Center
We had a wonderful meal. The server was both personable and professional. We ordered our favorites. Artichoke & crab dip was wonderful and the bread that comes with it was just the right accompaniment. I loved the fish & chips, while my BFF said her shrimp & grits was really great.
I love going to Clyde's Mark Center; it has been out go-to restaurant for family occasions for many years.
Great time! Was seated right away, very good service and the right atmosphere.
Great food but terrible service. Their oyster happy hour is phenomenal! That’s the main reason why we go. Drink value is commensurate with the DC area.
