Always good and creative. Service can feel a bit stuffy or maybe we didn’t seem very important. We will be back because the food is excellent.

Clyde Common has a challenging menu, in my opinion. I ordered the steak frites and the meat was just OK and under-cooked per my preference of medium. Their specialty is cocktails and that's where they shine. I'll wait a while before returning for dinner.

Service was awesome! I ordered eggs Benedict and my egg yokes were not runny, which was a bummer. Everything else was great!

The cocktails were an interesting part of the meal. The food choices were a nice variety and we enjoyed the dessert menu.

Everything about Clyde Common was great, except for the added "wellness" charge at the end. If you ask a server they'll tell you that it's to pay for health insurance and can be waved. This should be wrapped into the cost of the food, not charged separately. Paying workers a living wage with benefits is not "extra." It is simply the cost of doing business. I will not continue to patronize establishments where owners shame their workers in this way. It's a shame because the restaurant is otherwise lovely but I will not be going back.

Noisy. Not good for client conversation. If seated by the door, lots of cold air.

We share a few appetizers like the fried cauliflower, the salted cod fritters which both were delicious! And we also had the cornbread with burrata cheese, prosciutto, honey and sweet pickled peppers. A very unusual combo but very effective! My husband said that was the best cornbread he’s had! Then we shared the “The Feast” of the 40 ounce T-bone steak, wedge salad and potatoes gratin. The steak was cooked perfectly and there was plenty to fill us up! The blue cheese on the wedge salad was so creamy and not so funky which I liked. By the time dessert rolled around we were so full but we plowed through the carrot cake with strawberry ice cream which was just ok. All in all, it was a great time and a successful evening!

Great cocktail menu, nice open floor, fun view of kitchen and/or street, delicious appetizers. Entrees were good but next time we might try just appetizers and starters. Staff was very cool, and all in all the people-watching was entertaining.

They were easily able to accommodate our larger-than-expected crowd with grace and kindness. The food was delicious, the cocktails well-conceived and well-executed, and the ambience was lovely.

To start, we had the cheddarwurst croquettes- so tasty and the raw oysters- meh. The pork bolognese was good but bourbon barrel planked trout was absolutely delicious. And don't miss out on the unique craft cocktails!

I picked the restaurant blind on a recent trip to Portland. But we were pleasantly surprised at the dining experience. The food was creative and delicious. The waitress recommended an excellent bottle of wine. And the cost was very reasonable.

I loved our actual server but we arrived just a tad after 6 (walking hard to get there in time in the rain and parking) and asked if we could get one drink before dinner on happy hour price. I asked the bartender and another server and both responded with a flat no.
Other than that, food was awesome but noise level very high and disturbed our convo some.

Went on a Sunday night. Crowd was decent, but not full and the noise level is going to be quite loud when full. Food was good but nothing special as was service. No reason to return.

We tend to stay with our teenage daughters at the Ace Hotel when we are in Portland, and we are always excited for dinner at Clyde Common. Friendly, efficient, knowledgeable staff who know their business. Always great options on the menu. Sweet cocktails and mocktails (fizzy lavendar lemonade). Everyone happy.

Waitress and hostess were great. Food was pretty good, though pricey. However it's so loud with music playing and everyone talking over it and other tables that you can barely hear yourself think. We had to rush through the end of our meal just to get out before the reverberation off the concrete walls gave us headaches.

I wish restaurants would design space so one could converse with their companions. It seemed I could hear my neighbors discussion better than conversation at my own table.

Food was great, but disappointed there were no options for Portland Dining Month. One of us ordered that meal, the other ordered off the menu. We agreed the regular menu options were the best. Loved the Pavlova for dessert! Chili rubbed black cod was super yum!

We will be back! Service was attentive without being bothersome.

Service and food were great. I do wish places would invest more to curb the volume of ambient noise. Or is this one way to move people through? We actually take this into consideration when deciding to eat out, or make dinner at home.

This was a nice place to go for a yummy cocktail and delicious dinner. We went on the early side, so it seemed like our waiter didn't have enough to do. He was great but he could have visited our table a bit less. I felt like he grabbed my plate as I was lifting the last bite to my mouth on a couple of occasions, and didn't give us time to think about choices, such as another drink or possibly dessert.

I went in for Portland Dining month. The beet starter salad was amazing, one of the best. The main entree was rabbit, which was also excellent. Probably the best preparation of rabbit that I've had. Things get a little disappointing with the dessert. Supposed to be a baked alaska, but there wasn't enough ice cream. It tasted like regular cake with cool whip on top. First cocktail was disappointing because of too much ice and it didn't even take like there was horchata. Second cocktail was fabulous and made up for the first one being subpar. Service was great and all staff were superfriendly. Would go back.

The atmosphere, service, and overall experience of Clyde Common are always great. The food is either superb or "meh," which can be disappointing. Vegetable focused dishes are generally guaranteed to impress. A recent visit included a pretty unimpressive charcuterie board, a staple item that stood out, unfortunately, for it's lack of depth. Will continue to return for their amazing bar program and generous happy hour.

The lamb steak portion was very skimpy. The sausage/kielbasa on the plate with the "mashed" also looked somewhat empty v the comfit of duck dish, which my wife liked. Her old fashioned was very small and therefore overpriced. I and a very experienced (national & international) restaurant diner and I DO NOT mind paying for a good meal, but I was very disappointed.
