Food was amazing. Was lucky enough to have Craig as a waiter. Legitimately enthusiastic about the menu and the restaurant's offerings. Provided solid advice. Perfect amount of checking in while not bothering. Let us pace our meal as we wanted to.

One of my best meals during my Portland trip! Great food, great staff, great drinks. I would definitely recommend or come back.

Food and service were great. My only criticism would be that it was too noisy and hard to have a conversation w/o raising one's voice. Chairs not very comfortable.

Rockfish with chips was $24 fish cooked properly but for the price there could have a little more of a side other than house made potato 'chips'. Squid Ink pasta (fettuccine) was not really a fettuccine noodle and was too al dente -waxy and w/o flavor, the water wasn't salted. Broth was too thin, 6 mussels were good and fat but a little skimpy for a $25 dish. A few bay shrimp were added but overall we felt the value and level of execution wasn't' there for these dishes. The bread and butter (3slices for three people) was very good although not enough. The cocktails were excellent, as always the bar has never disappointed. I've been a patron for 12 years and this was the most disappointing of the many dinners eaten over the years.

Went for Portland Dining month and the menu they had was good. I want to go back and try other things on their menu as well. There was a great atmosphere that was loud but you could still here the person right next to you.

The dining month menu was terrible, the restaurant was so loud we couldn't even hear ourselves talk. Would not recommend.

Went for March Dining month special. Very good value, also the bar is outstanding. We had the "punch" which I think changes every day, but it was very good. The appetizer was small, but the pork loin was delicious and the dessert wowed. Would recommend to anyone.

We selected Clyde Common for March Dining Month. Arriving too early for our reservation we sat at the bar. Service was outstanding from the greeting, to bar staff, and our waiter. Knowledgeable and great spacing of food. Our server offered us two tastes of wine so we could select our favorite wine by the glass.

The food was delicious and creatively designed around pork and apples.

Clyde Common was so kind in beginning our meal with a complimentary champagne toast for our anniversary. The Portland Dining Month special was a great value compared to their typical prices. I was a little disappointed they allowed a dog (not a service animal) in the restaurant next to our table. Dogs + food is a no from me. All in all, however, great experience and tasty meal!

A bit loud. I made a special request to sit somewhere quieter (upstairs was recommended). But, my grandma arrived before I did and may have declined to climb stairs. The food was outstanding.

Waiter was great however, hostess was rude when asked about the $2.50 added to the bill. Turns out it is for the staff's health insurance, she began shrieking, "I can take it off for you, I can take it off for you!" If they are going to do this then they shld have a POLITE, rehearsed response when questioned and maybe an OPTION to add instead of just adding it to each bill unannounced. The Spazel would have been delicious IF it had not been drowned in 1/2 a stick of butter (& I love butter) but this upset my stomach after eating too much. We had a gift certificate for $80 and the shrieking hostess ran the check and then did not apply the gift card. We sent the check back and it was adjusted but now there is a $80.00 "pending" charge in my bank account. We called & were assured it won't go through. Lets hope. All in all not the best experience. It's very loud, the food is a little too trendy, like they are trying too hard. Clearly they can make food taste good, they should just not try so hard.

Food/ambience/service was fantastic. Worth the prices. Scallops were probably the best I've ever had.

My only feedback is that I wished they warmed the entree plates/platters before serving. The duck was served in a cold cast-iron skillet. An small detail, but with the prices I think it's
justified.

Hostess and waiter were rude. Bad attitudes and we were ignored. Ordered proscecco and were served Martinellies (could have been an honest mistake but they would not back down). Eventually gave us proscecco which was good. Scallop appetizer cooked unevenly and cold. Dumplings with steak tasted like baby food. Bad experience.

I really like Clyde Common. Great Central location, fun place and of course really good food. One could put together a full dinner/meal or simply have snacks and everything in between. The kitchen ranges between very good and excellent. Our waiter was great. We let him know to hurry us along because we had a movie to catch nearby at Living Room

Great food and drinks. The barrel aged Manhattan was out of this world. We started with the popcorn and Lumpia. Shared the goat, salmon, and duck with a foodie couple.

Great food with unique environment. The place feels different than any-other generic restaurant. I will certainly be coming back. Slight drawback was when I called the day of to check in on a reservation and asked about the location of the table I reserved for three. I specifically asked if our table was near the front door/entrance and was told that it's not which was unfortunately not true. Highly recommend making a reservation over the phone or specifying in detail in comments when reserving on line.

I shouldn't say that the food was overpriced because I'm sure they use excellent ingredients, but for the high, high price, the flavor did not deliver. We didn't eat a single entree that we liked. The pasta was bland and under-salted, also served relatively cold. The pork cheek (guanciale) was honestly inedible. The presentation left a lot to be desired and the meat was oddly sweet but not in a good way. It is very rare that I am not able to finish a piece of meat - I'll eat almost anything - but I couldn't eat this. The scallops (a starter) were actually pretty good, but two scallops for $17 seems a little pricey. None of the other starters were memorable. The service left something to be desired as well. The servers could often be seen standing at the hosts table – and I recognize it's a difficult job and they might have been busy – but it certainly seemed like they weren't doing a lot there other than waiting and it was hard to access them sometimes. They weren't super friendly. On a positive note, I will say that the negroni I had was probably the best I have ever had and I do think the lighting/ambiance are quite nice.

Flavors were underwhelming compared to descriptions on the menu. Service was adequate but a little awkward, perhaps in a true hipster fashion. We were seated near the door and the cold draft was quite unpleasant even though they had attempted to hang a curtain to block it.

For the money I would rather go to Andina.

The food was good and very flavorful. Only downside was the small portion sizes although they were priced reasonably well. Our server was great but itseemed like they were having some issues in the kitchen and initially brought out the wrong order after a bit of a wait. Would have expected a comped beverage in return for example but he did apologize. We ate here early on New Year Eve so it wasn't too crowded yet. If there's something special that pops up on the menu I'll head back, otherwise time to check out some other Portland hot spots!

Drinks were delicious here. Friendly service. Nice vibe, low light, and conveniently connected to The Ace Hotel. There was a minor communication issue surrounding us changing our reservation time -which we did via telephoning the restaurant rather than changing it on the Open Table site. We then got a phone call asking if we were going to make it , but we'd already re-scheduled the time to later, so... very minor. Overall, it was a great experience and I would go back in a heartbeat.

Creative blending of ingredients, papperdilla was great.
We sat upstairs overlooking dinners below.
