Club One Ratings and Reviews
We have been to Club One several times and always enjoyed it. This time we were placed in a box that did not have a table, leaving us to hold food on our laps or the small school desk attached to our chair. This time was not as enjoyable to do being cramped in to a small space and there were only 3 of us.
We scheduled a 530 reservation, but when we got there they said they didnt open until 6. They didnt apologize or try to accomodate in any way. The service was not great. Our server acted like we were an inconvenience to her. We'll sit in a different place next time we go to the races
Best kept secret in town. Watch the horses from private booths with your own TV to watch even more events. Happy hour special hard to beat ,served anytime 20 wings 5 cold beer in a bucket and $10 in free play to use at track or in the casino all for $20 . Service great make sure to take care of the staff. Easy to learn about the horses and very entertaining to watch.
We go to club one a few times a year and thoroughly enjoy it. This time the service was great, food was good. When we paid with our debit card, I happened to look at my account online and we had been charged twice. I immediately approached the server and she called the manager. The manager told me that it wouldn't come out of my account but I showed her that it already had. She just kind of blew me off and told me that it would be back in my account in 2 or 3 days. She acted like it was no big deal but an extra 70.00 out of my account for 3 days is a big deal. The main problem was the manager blowing me off, that really ticked me off. I bet if she was shorted 70.00 for 3 days she would be a little more understanding.
The food selection was limited but it is a race track so you don't go there for the variety of food. What they had was good. There is no charge to sit in these box seats if you buy enough food and drinks (easy to do, I think the minimum was $30). Chairs were comfortable and there was a TV in the box to watch sports between races.
The bacon cheddar burger was almost warm and the fries were cold. The young woman who took care f us did a really good job. The woman who seaed us was very friendly and nice. We enjoy comin to club one but te last two time the food was sub par compared to last racing season
If you're going to the racetrack on a busy weekend, this is the place to go...great seats & great pricing on food & drinks. It's not high-end, but its what you're looking for while at the track. The service this time was excellent, but we've had just OK service in the past...
My teenage daughter and I wanted something different to do on a Friday night. We decided to head to Remington and watch the races! I booked a table for Club One, which includes two padded swivel chairs and a little table. As well, in each little box there is a small television screen so you can see the races up close. It was 6:30pm and hardly anyone was there yet we were seated one row from the top. This means that you are farther away from the view looking over the racetrack. Because of the personal TV's in every booth, you actually couldn't see the track in front of you-you had to look to the left or right to see. The server was nice but didn't come by to refill drinks-we had to flag her down. The food is mediocre. Limited choices of chicken wings, burger, fish sandwich or catfish. We had lemon pepper wings and a grouper sandwich. The sandwich was good (fried) and came with freshly made potato chips with parmesan. Coleslaw was eh. The lemon pepper wings were ok but a bit too oily. I also prefer them to be a bit more crispy though I wouldn't say they were bad. The wings came with 3 baby carrots and two pieces of celery (skimpy).
We loved watching the races and think this would be a great place to bring a group and hang out. Eat someplace else at the park or just have snacks (like fries or chips) and you'll be good.
If it wasn't for the location it would be horrible. Food took around and hour or more and was barely warm and not that great. Beer was not cold. Had to ask waiter to clear empty plates of food after sitting a long time. Was interrupted by the waiter in the middle of a race to see how we were doing. The good side is it was great location to watch the races and would go again just for the view of the track.
I have eaten in Club One on many occasions. The food is usually very good, but a bit pricey. The service is sometimes hit or miss. If there is a special race day event going on and the attendance is high, service takes a downward turn. The Club One is a fantastic place to watch racing.
Really enjoyed our visit to Remington Park's Club One. We could tell they were short staffed (it was Mother's Day), but the staff that was there was on the ball. We did not have to ask for anything. They kept our glasses full and checked on us constantly. They were very friendly and made our experience a good one. Will do this again in the future.
View of Remington Park track was great . Thursday night special was wings and beer $20 no cover with free play bonus. Not busy...waitress was slow, never around when needed, most of the time saw her texting on phone. Had to find her to pay...never cleaned table or suggest desert items. We left and did not use play bonus. Surprised too see people with feet on tables @ SILKS and staff saying nothing.
Will give them a chance in the future... If no improvements will not return. Sad, could be awesome.
