Club A Steakhouse Ratings and Reviews
The only thing that i felt was lacking was the steak. I felt like I could have done better, it was missing some flavor. Maybe I should have said “ porterhouse for two, and have the chef season it with salt and pepper please”. The service was great, would totally go back.
Very polite service. Charming, warm restaurant with a burning fireplace and nice live music not too loud. My filet mignon was over cooked. I ordered medium and got medium well. Good baked potato and ceasar salad. I look forward to dessert and this was lacking badly here. Over all we would return to this lovely restaurant.
Club A Steakhouse is one of our favorite restaurants!!! The owners and staff are always friendly---we are on a name basis---and we consider them like family!! I always say they have the best fillet mignon in town at the best price--and they prepare them in 2 sizes--petite and 16 ounce!!! The appetizers and salads--as well as seafood--steaks--chops---and side dishes are all wonderful and delicious--!!! The restaurant is like going back in time warm and cozy---elegant but also casual--and they have a wonderful jazz combo on the weekends---great cocktails and wine selections!!!
We visited here on New Years Eve whilst on our honeymoon. The staff sat us at a brilliant table and had 'Congratulations' written on our menus. Mario was our server and was so helpful and friendly, making us feel completely welcome. The wine was beautiful and so was the food. We both had the fillet mignon and they were cooked perfectly. We were given complimentary desserts and made to feel really special. Highly recommend!
Really amazing dinner. We loved it and we had enough leftover to bring home and have a second meal. Will definitely be returning. Only took off one star because we think our waiter switched in the middle of dinner and we weren't sure who to ask for refills/the check etc. Overall amazing experience
Club A Steakhouse was a wonderful eating adventure.
Food was excellent,! Everything from appetizers to desert was excellent
The Porthouse for 3, great for meat lovers. Done perfectly!
Service outstanding, this was 8 pm New Year’s Eve.
Next time in NYC, will definitely be back
I took my husband to Club A steakhouse for dinner on his birthday and for New Years celebration. He loved it. The food was excellent, staff were great and ambience very nice. They also had live jazz, which I learned they have every Thurs-Sun evening after 6:30pm.
FOOD WAS GOOD, SERVICE WAS GOOD UNTIL WE WERE FORGOTTEN ABOUT FOR A WHILE. MY PETITE FILET WAS DRY- I ORDER MEDIUM AND IT CAME OUT COMPLETELY GREY EVERYWHERE! I WAS SO DISAPPOINTED. MY HUSBAND HAD THE HANGER STEAK AND IS WAS COOKED PERFECTLY AND VERY GOOD. FOR THE PRICE; HONESTLY I'VE HAD BETTER STEAK.
This was the fourth time we have been to Cub A Steakhouse. Once again is was a great dining experience. The atmosphere and ambience are great and the meal was just as great, even though we ordered fish. The staff is super friendly and very attentive. All courses, appetizer, main dish and desert were served promptly. They even provided a fantastic complimentary desert which was delicious. It was my husband's birthday and they brought a very generous slice of cake with a candle. Overall a fantastic dining experience.
Amazing experience from start to finish. Excellent service and hospitality. We started with the thick cut bacon and ended with complementary dessert. We were given ample time to look over the menu before ordering while enjoying refreshing martinis. We shared the thick porterhouse which was cooked exactly to our liking.
Club A has the feel of an old school steakhouse from the 50’s. The low lighting and live jazz was perfect for our special occasion.
Went here for a meal with family in town, walked out with assertion we’d never return. Steaks were very burnt and service was non existent & very slow (which is the opposite of most in nyc). Waited 20+ mins for bill after table was cleared, and restaurant wasn’t overwhelmed
Decor was very cheesy and felt like we were in a scene from Rush Hour
It is a romantic restaurant but the steak wasn't cooked as desired I ordered a medium well cooked ribeye and a well done fillet both were burned from outside and the ribeye was not medim well but well done. If the food was better cooked I would have give it a 4 out of 5. Nice music and romantic environment though. The waiters were really pushing us to leave after we were done eating. I don't think it is worth the money.
My spouse and I had the Fillet Mignon. It was cooked to order and was flavorful. The sides were very good. We ordered the sautéed spinach, mushrooms, and Mac n cheese. We were happy with the portion size. We were pleasantly surprised when we received dessert on the house. Overall dinner was good, nothing spectacular, just a good tasty meal. The service was excellent.
Went for the first time with my daughter for our our Christmas dinner.
I had flank steak. She had sea bass. Both were cooked to perfection and delivered promptly by an attentive wait staff.
The owner even came by and chatted for several minutes.
Lovely cozy and well appointed place. We will certainly return.
Very warm and festive ambiance. Excellent service from friendly waiter. Food is very good and steak cooked exactly as ordered. One criticism is that they do not have a good dessert menu to end the meal on a high note. They give you free dessert of a plate of tiramisu, profiteroles and cheesecake but did not like and would not order these for dessert. Wish they would come up with a varied dessert menu and charge but at least would not be disappointed when end meal with dessert would not eat or enjoy.
Very disappointed with our meal. Service was acceptable but the food quality was not as expected based on the reviews online. Steak was burnt on the outside and cold in the middle. We did order it in rate but still the outside should not be so burnt that you would struggle to cut through the steak. Definitely other better steakhouses in NYC
The restaurant was awesome! I loved the food. The steak melts in your mouth good. The Mac and cheese tasted so good that I almost ordered seconds. Then they give you dessert on the house, which was very good. The restaurant is expensive, but it is worth it.
